Hilarious, but why does the byline for the story read Lawrenceville?
We're 7-2 in last 9. and 5 out of 6. Normally that reads hot team, but the loss to TT obviously was really bad. Hard to gauge where this team stands right now. As has been discussed, a 2 or 3 is much more favorable than a 4. NCAA has been seeding the thing to get marquee matchups for each round, like when they put WSU on the 8 line and we were a 1, or making UNC an 8 a few years back and having us in the 2nd round. So I wouldn't be surprised if they put us with one of the bluebloods who will likely be a 1 seed and make us a 4. They'd love to see us in a sweet 16 match with a blue blood.

While driving home tonight from Northern Wisconsin, about a 7 hour drive I was on my phone quite a bit reading. (my daughter was driving at the time) Here's another streak we're on. We have a streak going back to 2009 of being ranked in every poll. This is the 3rd longest streak in history, UCLA has the longest but we have the longest active streak. We'll have to stay ranked for 22 more polls to break their record. Not sure how many polls make up a season, but I'd guess we'd have to make it to the end of next season if there's 5 months in a season, 4 polls per month, plus a few more this week. Another pretty cool record to aim at.
No shame in finishing 2nd to a team that cleaned our clocks two weeks ago. But Iād rather not finish 2nd to kstate. Kind of interesting that bracketology has us as a 3 and 1st place kst as a six.
At least we can say if we lose this league title that it took losing 2/3 starters to unseat us. There is no way we are scoreboard watching right now had Doke, Desousa and Vick were playing.
I can't wait til they do something to stop players from leaving early. If I was a coach like Bill Self who has to work like mad to replace players who leave after a year it'd drive me mad.

@Crimsonorblue22 Visiting my sister way up north. Tons of snow. It was way too cool to be out in than to sit inside and watch a basketball game, although I would have loved to watch the game.
Looks like we had to make a nice little 2nd half comeback to win this one. Now if we can complete the state of Oklahoma sweep, I just think someone's gonna help us sneak into a tie for the league championship.
I'm in 4 feet of snow in northern wisconsin so I wasn't able to watch or even follow the game. I got back to the house, and didn't look at the score and came right to the game thread. Kind of interesting to try to figure out who won the game. I honestly thought we'd lost the game, but I didn't read through evertything! Nice to pull one out on the road. This one kind of worried me.
I guess everyone is happy with the officiating!!

Me first:
Get rid of the hook and hold rule unless the official sees it occur, then it's a common foul. The replays are happening with greater frequency and so is the length of the games.
Related: If the ref doesn't see it it can't be a foul. No more letting players act as if they got hit in the face when someones elbow swung nearby. Happened last night in a terribly impactful way in the UW game. Happ gets whistled for a flagrant that the ref 5 feet away didn't see. They go to the monitor, 5 point swing in a game that went double OT. No going to the monitor just to try to find something that happened would be the new rule change.
Start calling carries. Watch a mixtape of crossovers. Pause it and watch it in slomo. Watch the ankle breakers hand come underneath the ball in almost every occasion. Watch the refs swallow their whistles. Players do that because it neutralizes the D for a millisecond giving them ample time to then get past the defense. Horrible officiating.
Stop double checking the monitor to put .3 seconds back on the clock. Wastes time, the clock operators are human and can only press that button until after they know they're supposed to.
What else panel of experts? What rule changes would you enjoy seeing in college hoops?
I'd prefer a 2,3, or even a 6 over a 4 or 5. I doubt we'd fall to a 6, but we have two road games left, the road hasn't been kind to us and a league tourney.

I sometimes get so stressed out during these games that I forget they're just games, and if they win or lose, I still have to get up and go teach those lovely little rugrats tomorrow. Might as well have some fun.

I've noticed that when Fran isn't doing the game the board is 100% happier.

KSU is ranked 16th, we're 15th. They're two games ahead of us in the standings of course, and have one fewer loss. We'd be peeved if the reverse were true.
I often wondered if Adidas ever tried to get us to paint their logo on the shoes of the Jayhawk painted on our floor?
