CROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTS
Named associate commissioner (mens/womens basketball) of the Mountain West. Hell yeah.

Another video to get acquainted, which I would recommend.
Official KU visit scheduled for this summer from June 28th to July 1st.
Jordan Brown ended up at Louisiana.
KU has offered AJ Storr formerly of Compass Prep now at IMG Academy. Once committed to Illinois but backed off due to coaching changes. Shooooooter.
As many as he can play, he is our most important player because the options behind him are not nearly as good.
@justanotherfan Yep. There is going to be even less loyalty both ways now going forward with the new rules. I know of a couple coaches that will for sure be going harder at transfers than HS recruits because they don't want to wait for them to develop.
@Kcmatt7 said in Jalen Coleman-Lands:
I'm thinking of him as Isaiah Moss 2.0.
This is more or less accurate.
He would get stripped on those moves in P5 ball. He will be a 5 wherever he ends up.
KU is currently at 0 available scholarships. Had to let Curry go to get down to 13.
@approxinfinity not a guy you want driving. He will play the 3 I imagine.
@approxinfinity ISU fans have had nothing but great things to say about him.
The staff does not want to play Mitch much is what I've been told. The main reason they went after Cam is they were worried none of the new guys would be good enough this year to unseat Mitch. Will be something to follow this season, as back-up 5 is looking like the weakest spot on the team.
Curry is in no way shape or form a 4. I'm also not sure how you can see him play and think he has handles. It was all dunks against smaller/weaker competition.
@jayballer67 not that it really matters but I don't think it's a transfer. KU/Self released him from his NLI because they no longer had room for him on the roster.
Mark Mitchell?
I would rate KU's chances via songs
@FarmerJayhawk said in 2021 Transfer Talk/List:
Kevin Samuel from TCU in the portal. If a spot comes open, would take.
That would help our back-up 5 spot tremendously.
That said, I believe the roster is just about set based on what I've been hearing. Like I mentioned in another thread I would expect some small ball.
No way on Dave playing 15 mpg. He is our most important player. Needs to get up to 25+.
KJ Adams is a RS candidate. Zach might play some spot minutes but I could see it going either way with him. Not the best fit for Bill's coaching, from what I've heard he is a bit "soft". How he responds to Bill's coaching will be something to monitor. @Kcmatt7 knows
Well Curry leaving doesn't change it at all.
Dave and Jalen start and I bet we play small ball when Jalen sits. Dave will be our most important player on the team BY FAR because the back-up 5 situation is not great. Just trying to piece together minutes when he sits.
I'm with @mayjay here. Bill literally just forced a signed kid out (that was ALL IN on KU on social media) and it's almost June..
14 but Mitch is free so we get to cheat.

Jalen and Ochai are coming back. :crystal_ball:
Yesterday Jalen was on Snapchat. He was wearing KU shorts. He also looks like he’s hitting the weight room.
Yeah Jalen has never been in doubt. Ochai is a fairly recent development however.
@Kcmatt7 said in Welcome Sydney Curry!:
Thank God. He was not a KU level player
I'd be fine with not recruiting JUCOs anymore.
Jalen and Ochai are coming back. :crystal_ball:
@FarmerJayhawk if anyone can make it work defensively it's Bill. Gonna be some wild games though no doubt.
Bill be like
Remy and JCL are signed, just announced officially.
@Crimsonorblue22 We had 14 scholarship players before Curry left now we have 13. Reading Och's recent comments, sounds like he wants to be back.
@FarmerJayhawk said in Welcome Sydney Curry!:
Goodbye Sydney Curry! Reopening his recruitment.
"re-opening"

Ku has offer Forward zuby Ejiofor Class of 2022
Visiting KU June 23rd
Would imagine a KU offer is coming for MJ Rice.
Thompson twins are signing with the Overtime League. This could get very interesting.
@tis4tim One of my friends moved on from Sunrise but now I have another buddy doing work for them (non-coaching position but extremely tied into recruiting including who Sunrise is recruiting to come there :winking_face: ).
Unrelated
Look for this young man to visit KU this summer (likely in June)

A very interesting development could be happening with a 22 recruit on KU’s radar. Don’t think this recruit ends up here but this would be a positive development that would help. Will quote this post once official. You’ve got to stop with the Mad Hatter/Gollum routine of speaking in riddles. Just say it, man! :slightly_smiling_face:
Can't on this, sorry. It involves Sunrise though.
@approxinfinity said in Remy to Kansas:
@drgnslayr agreed. Self hasn't had a good defensive team since 2011-12.

Does Bill know what to do with Harris, how to optimize him? I think that's a fair question. Bill does better work with, well...guards like Remy, Yesufu and Pettiford. As well as Epps, a 22 guard recruit that KU can very realistically get.
Also 4 PGs is a lot, and all are wanting to play. One of them probably isn't going to get much run. I will miss Harris, but breaking in Pettiford more this year isn't the worst. I think his ceiling is tremendously high.
I would also bank on probably 2 redshirts this year. That's one way to assuage the situation a bit. Cuffe and KJ are prime candidates.
Seems like a great kid, I hope he stays but if he does leave I don't think it's unreasonable with how many PGs Self added.
@Crimsonorblue22 All three are 6' or less, not really doable.
@Crimsonorblue22 Ochai is leaving for pro ball of any sort, not transferring. The rumor is there will be a transfer in addition to that.
@approxinfinity said in 2021 Transfer Talk/List:
It's going to be Agbaji, let's not over complicate this.
Supposedly Ochai AND a transfer out. We will see.
@drgnslayr said in Remy to Kansas:
I think we can all agree that Remy was a huge get for us and should help take this team to a different level! I know I was really hopeful we would find a plug-n-play PG who already was proven.
I think we are still recruiting for the coming year... and it won't surprise me at all if another player is signed soon.
Yes! I really couldn't even have dreamed of such a good addition this late in the game until I heard it was really likely on the 11th.
In CJ Moore's recent article an unnamed assistant coach talked about how both Dave and Remy will really help each other and how they fit well together.
@BeddieKU23 said in 2022 Recruiting Thread:
What a difference a week makes when you get a top 15 college player and a specialist transfer
Remy was such a home run and it sounds like he wasn't even considering anyone else.
I will leave everyone to draw their own conclusions on this lol.
Though I will also say, I don't hate Bobby being the back-up at the 1/2 spots at all.
@jayballer67 said in 2021 Transfer Talk/List:
Or is one of the Newbies that just announced coming ?
Well, this won't happen.
We might be seeing another transfer out of the program.
This has been covered before, but these are some alumni of Team Loaded AAU, for which Epps plays.
Reading over CJ Moore's article on the Athletic about Remy and JCL. It seems to me that Bobby Hurley miiiight not be the best coach.
