Absolutely not. Many of my positions about basketball show that I welcome change when I think it is good. Two extra games is totally fine, imo. It's just the fragmentation of having two games now, then going back to the non-con. Just put them in with the rest of the conference schedule and start conference play a bit sooner.
Fwiw I am also not big on the Big 12 SEC challenge being in conference season.
