We will see what Rabb really ends up being. DWade is a hofer.
Crean's non-DWade ceiling appears to be the S16.
At the end of the day, neither has done much of anything. Crean had a fortunate run with DWade. Give Cuonzo a DWade and he probably makes a run.
Not sure they can turn the corner, but at least the Donkey is sweating.
Now they did!
Wait tied, I thought that was a three for a sec
UNCW reclaims the lead!
Their winning percentage is identical.
He played there under Bobby. He's about as good as they could hope for now, and he might turn them down tbh.
Going to end up with a better recruiting class with Martin than Crean would have done imo. I mean, we will never know. Neither is a great coach really.
I hope Indiana goes for and gets Alford. UCLA has a loaded class.
@KUSTEVE Tomorrow is typically my favourite day since KU generally plays Fri/Sun. You must not be a real KU fan!!!! Joking.
No lead is safe with this KU squad EITHER WAY.

if Keats leaves UNCW as expected after this tourney and Cacok transfers, Bill Self better be at his front door...
With a mariachi band and a bouquet of roses (with a scholarship offer inside the bouquet).
They definitely can, but I chickened out. Florida basically had one really good stretch this year and it's been over for a bit now.
I had to check, I do have UNCW advancing here (then losing to UF).

5-5 3pt shooting from 2 guys certainly helps..
Who do they think they are playing against, KU?
Overseeded UVA getting demolished. ACC! ACC! ACC!
And people wonder why I wouldn't want Bennett as the next KU coach. HARD PASS.
Lol at a track meet favouring the mid major and not the P5 team but I think the announcer is right...
UNCW on fiiiiiiiiah

FYI Tom Crean out at Indiana...
Shocker....
Too bad he didn't have any recruits. Then again, Ill and and UW firings already opened up a ton of players. I just hope Harris doesn't reopen and then quickly decide. KU chasing Duval could be a killer.
Agree. Pretty much garbage free!
UNCW UVA has tipped off. UNCW coach could be on to a bigger job after this year.
I'd complain about all the breaks, but I think it favours this KU team and the lack of depth.
Don't know if this was already posted, kinda funny
First game is blah. ND struggling and Princeton's offense consists of jacking up guarded threes.
Porters are locked up to Missouri already, but also look for them to possibly add Tilmon and Mark Smith as well. Martin is killing it right now.

I feel like sitting in this Duval race negatively impacts KU's chances to recruit others. Can't wait for this circus to be over with. Especially knowing there really isn't much hope to be in it. The only hope is KU does well in March and our guards showcase themselves
Completely agree, but it's Self's mo seemingly.
@BeddieKU23 said:
Davis will stay West. I would expect either Gonzaga, Oregon or the Cali schools to be on him
Probably correct given that all his final schools were way west.

Porter's recruitment starts and ends with his father as we've seen. If he packs his bags and heads to Missouri we know the kid doesn't care about what Jersey he puts on. I would lump Porter in the typical OAD that is just doing his time until he can make the NBA.
Kid is a complete stud and KU was involved until he shut us down last summer.
Yep. It's not even a secret. Porter's dad can pound sand.

Depends on who Washington gets as its new coach but I bet a major reason he wanted to go to Washington was style of play and Romar + playing with Porter. I can't imagine he'll stick.
Harris did visit KU unofficially when his team was in Kansas for his Jr year. Some familiarity already.
I feel Harris is talented enough to play as a freshman, ideal size, athletic ability and shooting to step in and play a role similar to Devonte Graham during his fr year. I see Combo guard in him which is what Self prefers anyway. I wish we could contact Self and let him know this kid could be available.
I sure hope he opens it back up. He would be a really good option assuming no Duval. It would be really nice if KU got him, then Dotson, that's three North Carolina guards recently if it happens (Graham being the other) and North Carolina isn't a bad place to have a positive recruiting rep.

Isn't oak Hill where Ben Mclemore came from?
BMac was from St Louis. I think he did go to Oak Hill briefly but was "dismissed".
If we somehow get a second year, I think it would be a truly great year. First year I feel will be a bit of a project.
JJ is a different cat. Porter is more skilled, but JJ has crazy drive/desire.
Really thought we'd be playing NC Central, but I don't think it matters much either way.
For anyone wondering, UC Davis is separated by 3 kenpom ranking from UMKC. Both are sub 200. SHOULD be an easy win but you never know 100%.
Didn't see this posted yet.
Yeah, doesn't seem to smart. Nor does Missouri giving him 5 years guaranteed lol.

Hell I'm not picky, I'd take Blake Harris too. We need a PG.
Been a big fan of Harris. I'd take him
Underrated, kid can play. Wonder if he will open it back up. I'm just assuming KU misses on Duval at this point and I hope Duval decides before all the possible decommits do.
Hell I'm not picky, I'd take Blake Harris too. We need a PG.
Forget about the Porters, give me Daejon Davis if KU doesn't land Duval.
Racial issues at Tennessee allegedly.

Yep. He officially told Cal he was leaving for another school and that he wanted to get closer to home.
IMHO he is way overrated. His record at all 3 schools is just about the same and hovering around 0.600. He translated his one good year at Tennessee into a potentially better job at Cal where his team just got bumped out in the first round of the NIT by CSU Bakersfield ..really?
His overall record is marginally better than Haith and mostly because he did better in conference play although he does not have the baggage Haith had. Like I said, MU would get an up and coming mid major or lower major coach at around $2M and this is exactly what it got. definitely not a HR hire or even a triple or double, perhaps a bloop single with potential for a double is a better description...I am sure MU will scream is an HR though.
Agree with you. Good recruiter not a great coach.
He is a pretty mediocre coach so he will fit right in at Missouri.
If he is, Martin will likely make a strong push for Porter's dad to join his staff at Missouri.
UW is "re-evaluating" Romar. Ie he might be fired today.
Will be Missouri's next men's bball headcoach barring any craziness.
Time to go wash out my mouth with soap.
BRUCE AND THE MIRACLES
As much as he wants. I would guess 5+ million a year.
