Well I mean Evan Maxwell is currently on scholarship. This kid is much better. Depends on how the staff feels about their 2018 post prospects imo.

I think he is pretty solid from what I've seen. Better coaching would help him. 6'11'' and athletic. No idea if KU will contact him or vice versa.

From ST Johns. Wonder if KU will take a look. Not a fan of the post prospects for KU in 2018 unless Carty decommits so this kid going into what would be his 4th year removed from HS in his next season playing might be a solid option to bridge to 2019 where KU has more elite irons in the fire.
Indefinite was really the only choice until the situation is resolved. Absolutely can't play him with this cloud over his head currently. I'm sure once we have all the facts and the court stuff is done it will be changed from indefinite to something else.

He was and it's not close. He was the only post player that could stretch the floor. With our current 4 bigs it's a huge liability offensively to have two of them on the floor at once.

Yeah the double digit part may not hold up in league play. It is definitely a bit of a thing where someone on the team has to take shots and when you only have 6 good players then those guys are going to get most of the shots.
I just don't remember that analysis from what I read about Mitch when he committed. Though I am guessing Fran said it on twitter and I do not follow him.
I should say, I don't remember the shooter part. I definitely remember the consensus being that he is a solid athlete.
I don't think they will do it but it would probably put Porter JR back on the market if they did.
