@BeddieKU23 he hesitates too much
Think last yr at times he did too much with the drive. Seems like he picks his spots now
@RockChalkinTexas said in Bruth's Last Hurrah Game Thread:
Jwill should have driven all the way
Thought so as well

@drgnslayr Tech is interesting. They've held serve at home all season, but are 4-6 away from Lubbock. They play top tier defense, but I also feel like the league has let them get away without playing anything resembling a PG all season. Basically just let them walk the ball up and get into their offense. I'll be curious to see if their first round matchup does the same.
My one concern from calling them a final 4 caliber team is the lack of a point guard for sure. They make up for it by playing athletes and going at least 10 deep with that really good defense. Would be interesting to see a team press them in March.
I haven't tracked it on an individual game to game basis but believe its trending slightly better in February from what I recall when I update it after every game. I could be wrong there though. I'll start tracking our actual ratings starting now to see if we see any meaningful trend there. They are giving up 4 less ppg then the previous 3 months so even if the metrics don't say it this defense has given up less points so far in February. Obviously we need to finish this week out to have all data there
It was an entertaining game and at one point in the first half I thought they were both on pace for 100. Both teams like to get n1
up and down. I enjoyed it since nobody in the big 12 seems to like scoring or playing with tempo besides Baylor.
I'm worried that this years Big 12 has too many teams playing the same style where our team isnt getting enough exposure to different styles of play. The best offense that KU has faced this yr crushed them by 18 in their own gym (Kentucky) and played up to their #3 rated offense per Kenpom, (KU) now 4th.
KU #5 in the AP Poll. Baylor #10. It's on this weekend.
I think its an unusual situation having coaches involved. Not something you see often. Guaranteed to be made bigger then other situations.
I've seen worse in the last few weeks. That play by Clemson's Collins taking out a Duke player in mid-air is as dirty as it gets.
Two coaches unable to end a game shaking hands is comical. Even worse is why it got there.
Really? I think most like Bilas. I'm a fan of most of his stuff
Also he's not just another coach at Michigan, he's a beloved Alum.
I believe the media is going to make this a bigger deal then it is. It's an issue that has to be dealt with swiftly by the conference and move on.
For sure Wisconsin staffer adds to the fire. There's a whole lot of suspensions coming at minimum
He's a very good shooter. He can get his as long as nobody else does
Last year he scored 10 pts on 4-10 shooting & 2-5 from 3 in Allen.

Trending decently in February so far. Only giving up 64 ppg this month with 2 more to go.
KSU wonβt crack 60 tomorrow. Book it.
As long as Pack doesn't have 35 again I'd agree
That video looks really bad for Howard. Not only did he start it but he was trying to avoid the handshake as well.
Not really sure I see Gard's intent to be anything other then expecting to have that brief interaction with Howard and move on. He initiates contact but how many post game handshakes go in that manner where the coaches stop, have some kind of close contact where they usually are talking into their ear so they can hear each other and then move on. It literally happens all the time.

WVU offense that game would make any defense look good!
Offensive offense
Howard did make the Elite 8 last year and recruited at a level that very few reach in the last couple cycles. Wonder if that kind of stuff gives him just enough cred to stick around. My money is on Michigan moving on. They have 3 games left against ranked teams & somehow get 4 straight homes games now. We'll see how much Michigan cares about winning games above everything
Anyone think they will fire him after the season??
Pretty stupid situation to put yourself in. Bad look
Updated post WVU win
Och hits 500 points and Dave 24 points from 1,000!!

Kenpom, Torvik, Massey, Sagarin all liked the win.
Zona/Oregon game was a fun watch. Neither plays a lick of defense.

@BeddieKU23 outside of Smith and Kessler everyone else looks like a JAG.
It's weird because their two bigs are what any fan base would dream of having. But the rest of the team just doesn't really fit tbh. Johnson is a pesky guard that reminds me of Dotson with his relentless driving ability. Green is a bit of a streaky shot hunter. Jasper and Flanigan haven't really rounded out the starting 5 like I thought they might. No doubt it's a good team and they tend to play like a top 5 team at home but I just don't see championship DNA in them having watched at least their last 6 or so games.
