A week full of a lot of miracles
Virginia can start before us anytime. 13 minutes to spare tonight
This starts the toughest stretch of the season for KU. 5 straight games against teams that will be in the NCAA tournament. We have found out a great deal about this team recently for better or worse. Imo going 3-2 in this stretch would be great but 5-0 would really give us something to be excited about.
Yeah it should be rockin
Perhaps there is something to the fact Self wasn't at practice for either game last week due to his dad.
Expect a hard fought game but we gotta hold serve at home tonight
wow never lost under Self at home on Big Monday. Guess I see why Vegas has it the way they do. Looks like we can expect this team to be amped up
I would expect another stressful game. We've had enough of them lately. But Allen Fieldhouse has a way of helping out when we need it.
KU is AP #5. Tech is #13. Vegas has us 7pt fav's
Updated after K-ST.
Och can score the rock!

Jalen's PER has skyrocketed up lately. Och at an Elite level for a Guard

Kenpom did not like our dramatic win against K-St especially defensively. Obviously we know we sucked on that end for a large stretch.
Obviously Saturday was an emotional game on so many levels and KU pulled out the win. Short rest turnaround for this Big Monday game at Home against Tech who whipped our buts not even a few weeks ago.
What are we expecting tonight?
Tech's defense seems to be by far the best in conference and the two guys who were not available for game 1 when they whipped us are back now.
On the flipside KU has Remy Martin back, Wilson has stepped up & McCormack is back in the starting lineup which was all in limbo when they first played.
KU is in first place in the Big-12 standings with Baylor and Tech a loss back. We gotta hold serve. Hopefully we get another big game out of Och and enough playmaking around him. We are at home and have a feeling the fans with students back might make life difficult for this veteran Tech team.
Rock Chalk
Hopefully he's watching Ochai real close and the impact that's had for him. I know Och has been on the NBA radar since he shed the red-shirt but it's literally exhibit A of what coming back and being the dude can do for you. Him and Braun have that opportunity sitting there in front of them.
Hard to return to the floor when your legs are taken out.
Video don't lie but people do
Newell asked the Big-12 and while I don't have access to the star, they have basically bent down at the knees for their officials.
This is why nobody has faith in officials. Just making up rules as they go
There won't be one because KU won. I had a hard time sleeping last night because imo this is the worst call an officiating crew has made in years. I know there have been other egregious examples but its just blows my mind the outcome of that play. Hopefully KU sent this to the Big-12 for review. Hopefully anyone did
Well. If that happens it is whatever it is.
Hopefully some bill recruiting and NIL makes a difference
Where is Wilson going China?
Oh without hesitation. About as close to Och as your gonna find
Yeah his shooting has dipped because he is having to score against better players, athletes. I do think he is missing shots that he can make or has made for that matter. At least yesterday he found a way to get to the FT line which has been a major concern for this team lately, not just getting there but making them as well. Hopefully he continues to find a consistent offensive game as we get further down the road.
As disappointing as Remy has been lately I agree that getting him playing at a high level is the last piece this team needs. I really don't know if he is going to buckle down and get there though. We have kind of expected him to be this highly efficient scorer which he has shown at times but it does look like he thrives on volume and freedom. As I've heard in the past Remy kind of thrives on making the bad shot which Self will always hate. His defense is well below par and Remy is just small and average athletically where he doesn't seem to get the easy bucket. I find it surprising that it's really all in his head because we have seen Remy in the past play against KU and be a real pain in the A to stop. The fact it's late January and he's kind of mentally playing like a freshman concerns me
I think we are just seeing normal up and downs from players like Braun. He was killer in the non conference where he feasted on guys who couldn't stop him from getting to the basket. He is still impacting the game on both ends as we saw by the OU game winner or the fact he is 3rd in the conference in blocks as a wing. He boards, he has toughness and had 5 assists yesterday. He is missing some shots that went in earlier as his fg % has dipped in conf play but I do think we are going to see him continue to be one of our 4 most important players the rest of the season.
I think the emergence of Wilson is also taking pressure off Braun since he has been in the starting lineup. Remy really wasn't scoring when he started so Braun had to shoulder more scoring and there was that 7 or so game stretch he was just on fire. CB is a good 2nd or 3rd option on offense with the ability to take over games if needed or exploit favorable matchups. He is 100% a better player then he was last yr and confidence is finally there for him to take advantage

Bill was drawing up plays for Och late instead of Dave. <3
Shouldn't be any other way tbh. Och with the ball in his hand has either made the play that set up the winner or made the game winner in 3 of our last 4 games. He is shining under pressure. It's great to see
Self is 37-7 against K St. Just insane
Saw that. I don't have good words for him but I'm forever grateful his shot against us in the elite 8 rimmed out
I will add he is allowed to play iso hero ball and make plays which is not how KU plays. The connection to KU players is definitely something to watch if he wanted to show himself on the big stage
Agbaji tied his season high with 29.
It's his 11th game over 20 pts. He makes this team as good as they are. He probably earned some real POY points Today
I had a feeling you were but for a while it was just hard to wrap my head over such an easy call gone wrong. If that had cost us the game I can't imagine the storm that would be going on about it

Friend of Juan and CB having himself a game/year.
wow
How old is this kid? Transfer portal?
Jr. Averaging 20 a night. 51% fg, 45% 3ptfg, 91% from the line. Averaged 19 as a sophomore. Kid has range, handles, size, a floater game and Supreme confidence in his shot. His step back 3 is money
Iowa St scored 44 at home. 44. Wow
Hurts my head. There was nobody there when he shot. The guy came around the screen and slipped and fell into Agbaji's leg on his way down from the shot. 3 people miss something so basic
