I think Zach plays. How much will be determined if hes going to play the 4 which looks like he might be long term. Plays hard, and isn't as soft or not prepared as you think. Well coached, skilled and can really shoot it from 3. Of course he needs to hit the weight room but to waste a year sitting on the bench won't do anything for him either. Very excited to see what he does here. Remember this guy bleeds KU
Cole Swider to Cuse
Maryland lands both Fatts Russell and Wahab.. big pick ups
Justin Powell to Tennessee
Omar Payne to Illinois
If you watched ty play last night you would be wondering what you have to do to get him here. Makes KU a top 5 team
As expected chode and despicable Pat Forde has a hit piece out on Selfs new contract. Sports reporting dies every time this man writes
Ku recruited most of their roster
Matt Bradley - Cal. Kid gets buckets
Dajuan Gordon to Methzu. Kid has made bad decisions his college career
As long as Agbaji returns I'm expecting that battle between Bryce Thompson and Christian Braun for a starting spot to be very competitive. The signing of Pettiford is really important for building quality depth and development
Here's an odd one. Jordan Nesbitt of Memphis signed with Memphis in the fall for their 2021 class (ranked #69 overall), joined the team early and played in 3 games. Now in the Transfer Portal. Smh
Expect a full offseason for the guys returning to be a big one with the S & C program. Jalen went home and improved on his own last year. I'm expecting he could make another leap with a coach pushing him all summer. Harris & Thompson are two others I think we can expect leaps from.
Agree Cade was big time for them. Really young team that grew up and followed in his lead. Anderson & Boone especially really got good as the season went on
Really is a win-win. Especially for recruiting. Just a well thought out plan.
Congrats to Bill on the contract. Didn't see this kind of offer coming but glad its here. Wouldn't want anyone else running this program
Wow that's interesting
Micah Peavy in the portal. Yes please
First 10 games Dave- 38%, Next 10- 55%, Last 8- 58%. Improved a lot over the season
The young supporting cast might return though. Anderson was becoming a dude
Marcus Santos Silva of Texas Tech in the portal. Should be more to follow.
His conditioning needs to improve like Dokes did. Can't have your 30% usage guy playing half the game
So Illinois going back to the stone age of the Big10 again. Likely to lose everyone but Curbelo
Very happy that worked out the way it did. Pettiford is way better
SLU makes a lot of sense
Oh so he mad Curbelo won the spot. Averaged less then 1 assist a game in 25 minutes per. Not sure what these kids hear in their head sometimes
Nicely put. We knew Dave wouldn't shoot an NCAA record but man just over 50% as a big is not acceptable either. To his credit he did score the ball a lot easier from mid to late season

Whaaa whaaaat
Entire 5 plus 6th man transferring from Eastern Washington. Coach must be leaving
I like this kid, wouldn't mind us getting him even if Ochai stays but I would think that's a mutually exclusive situation
Would like to see him become more consistent as a defender as well. Agree though his main improvements can be found as a shooter from everywhere. He got a ton of good looks from 3 and a lot of opportunities at the FT line. Left a lot of points off the board because of it. Future is bright for him
Victor Iwuakor- Oklahoma in the portal
Going from 1 school to another within the conference. Understand his connection with Texas. He's a good coach and he'll do well at Texas, welcome the competition. I don't know if there's a code for coaches but this reeks of an unwritten no-no
Expected he at least tests the draft process. It will be extremely disappointing to see him leave, if he did, he would go undrafted.
Not a fan of this move but Beard will be Beard. Tech back to the ice age
Good news. With a full offseason there's no telling how much his game could improve.
But what a heck of a career. I went through a real period where I hated the mans guts for leaving us dirty the way he did. I got over it and happy to see him leave on his own terms. Happy retirement Roy, the game is losing a legend
Row Retires with 903 wins but twice as many unused timeouts. Maybe he'll get them paid out in a bonus. Sry I had too.:alien:
Also jabbing and never winning.
That's a good one! Our own cave man
I think its smart to sell it that way. We'll see what else shakes off the tree from this team because it certainly seems like we're going to get more news soon
Problem is once you start for Self its difficult to lose that spot. We'll see what happens but I definitely think his role needs to be reevaluated. Bringing in competition which Self is doing is a good way to create those situations
Call it scouting, role change (playing major minutes), lack of an offseason for development. The list could go on.
He lacked confidence in a lot of games and there are probably 30-50 times we can freeze a frame and see him passing up an open shot. I think he was ultimately playing out of position this year. Hopefully he finds the next level in his development and gets more consistent aggressive effort. When he plays aggressive he can be very good. We just need to see him take the next steps. Maybe he would be best going back to 6th man so that Self can get another guard on the court.
Jeriah Horne with the I left you but I'm back routine. Transferred from Tulsa to Colorado, now back to Tulsa. Weird
Portal above 1100, approaching 1150 and 1200 by weekend
Other Notables-
Chol Marial- Maryland
Osayi Osifo- Florida (yet another transfer)
Desi Sills- Arkansas
Will Johnson- Oregon
T.J. Moss- South Carolina
Nick Farrar- NC St
Torrence Watson- Methzu
Clyde Trapp, Jr.- Clemson
Christian Bishop- Creighton in the portal. Rumor from a non-KU board was that his father told people he was transferring to KU.. We'll see if getting Cam Martin eliminated that..
So Latrell and possibly one more unexpected
