Wichita State as an 8/9. No doubt they'll want to kill one of the non-major market players from Kansas right away.
@joeloveshawks is it apples to apples as far as depth goes with the Villanova team last year? And comparing the big 12 season and tourney to the big east season and tourney as far as "grueling" goes, I don't think that is a fair comparison, but could be wrong.
Obviously if you play you want to win.
@BeddieKU23 I know that. But this year, more than recent past, the team has played with a very limited bench. Many of the guys are nicked up.
3 games 3 days. I don't think it bodes well for a deep tourney run.
I'm putting some serious thought into going to Tulsa and/or KC for the games this year. They are both just a few hours away, so it seems like a great opportunity and I'v never been to a NCAA Tourney Game.
So, does anybody have any experience, or advice on securing tickets to these events?
Obviously, I can just go to ticketmaster, or whatever, but I'm wondering if there is an alternative strategy people have used in the past to get better bang for buck?
Thanks in advance.
Also, it is not ideal to keep getting down in games, but they have kept getting down in big games all year and they keep coming back. It is almost their identity now. They are like Freddy Kreuger or Jason. They do the "slow" walk chasing their running victims and always catch up to them at the end.
Several young men, maybe as many as 5 or 6 realized that would be their last time playing on James Naismith court together. They have been nearly permanently attached to each other over the last 3-5 years, experiencing every emotion possible, once-in-a-lifetime memories, such as the World Games, public ridicule, and everything else that comes with this kind of brotherhood. Likely most of these kids weren't 'with it' until they were down by double digits and about to end their last home game on a sour note. The back to back 3 from Graham were essentially IV's of adrenaline and it was all over from there.
Team reminds me of 2012 so much except they are rope a dope extreme.
He didn't call out Svi
@kjayhawks have to agree unfortunately
I feel like DG is a transitional piece to the next run of players and keep a little bit of the identity from the last couple of years. I'll be really sad to see him go.
This team is like the 14/15 royals. You just feel they'll come back. Magical.
Shockers by double digits
Kind of surprised Self told Graham to stay one more year. Maybe he is gone.
"We get older and they stay the same age"
Buddy is up there. He ran Into frank DG and JJ about an hour ago outside
@BeddieKU23 are u there and is that first pic your work?
@focojayhawk probably wouldn't have beat Lucas out :+1:
Any scuttlebutt out there on why Mack was suspended?
@BShark I trust you on this, because you seem to be invested in following these guys and recruiting. But, I guess for hopes sake, I just want to disagree. Where are you seeing Graham is going pro? Just a hunch because he is picked as the 40th pick?
@Crimsonorblue22 was predicting a let down game. but now on o'fer on predictions, i'm sticking with it.
@BeddieKU23 actually, I didn't say "we don't get any production."
What I said was, he is not" an offensive threat; they are really not losing any production in that regard."
Opposing coaches don't have to put much into scouting LL's offense. Yes, he is the 5th leading scorer, on a team that goes 7 deep. And he scores less than .5 points ahead of Vick, while logging more minutes. He also scores less points per minute than Bragg.
I'm not degrading LL's impact and importance to this Team. I'm simply stating the Obvious. His wrist injury carries much less significance, than any other player who gets regular minutes.
Predicted Baylor win, Hawks Win.
Predicted UT win, Hawks Win.
Sooners by double digits.
@BeddieKU23 @BShark It's gone from no tape, to tape, to now being reported. It is not going to get better between now and the end of the season. As long as he can play defense he is good. This is one good thing about LL not being an offensive threat; they are really not losing any production in that regard.
@jaybate-1.0 holding out for fear of spies among us.
Took the boys to get autographs after the home game vs UT back in January, and LL wasn't allowed to give sign because of his wrist injury then. Been bothering him quite a while.
@mayjay poorly worded. I should have said will he win, not taken out of discussion.
So does the zags loss take Few out of NCOY discussion?
Ignorant ? Wow.
This is my last post on this subject.
Becoming enraged over an altercation that didn't involve him, chasing after a female and committing criminal property damage is not a minor infraction, imo. That seems to be where we differ in opinion.
Also, fwiw in my opinion there is a slight difference in taking responsibility for something and paying for the consequences of your actions. Taking responsibility is proactive and paying consequences is reactive.
@Crimsonorblue22 suspended an entire semester wasn't he?
Texas Gets the win today.
@dylans also remember how he handled Tharpes racy photo--he mysteriously leaves the team.
Let's cut to the chase: when you perform on the court, you get a longer leash. For those that support justice, that is the hardest part to accept.
@truehawk93 so why suspend Bragg 3 games for a lesser crime?
@mayjay are you suggesting he won't be charged with the misdemeanor crime of property damage? If he is charged and convicted are you suggesting JJ punishment shouldn't be in line with similar infractions from current and past players ?
@HighEliteMajor agreed.
If I were Bragg I might feel a bit slighted to have been suspended for a crime which resulted in diversion and JJ is a few dollars from a felony crime and gets no games suspension. Not a fan of this move by self but it's his team and he calls the shots so that will be that.
@ParisHawk it is a misdemeanor. Caught the error you pointed out. Criminal damage to property is a class B misdemeanor if damage is less than 1000. Sorry for confusion.
haha other "Unknown" individuals caused other property damage.
Nice job keeping the damages under 1,000 on Josh.
Criminal Damage to Property – Penalties in Kansas
If the value is greater than $25,000, you face a severity level 7 nonperson felony punishable by 11 to 13 years in prison as long as you have no criminal record.
If the value is between $1,000 and $25,000 the charge is a severity level 9 nonperson felony which carries a potential penalty of 5 to 7 years in prison if this is your first criminal conviction.
If the value of the property damage is up to $1,000 it is charged as a Class B nonperson felony punishable by up to 6 months in jail.

@HighEliteMajor I understand your perspective and the point you are trying to illustrate. However, being superior at your professional craft does not mean you don't suck as a human being.
Another example:
O.J. Simpson--Hall of Fame football player. Sucks.
I'm not agreeing, nor disagreeing that Pitino sucks. He's obviously an outstanding college basketball coach. It could be argued that he did suck as a NBA Coach.
Guess it is all about from which perspective you want to approach it.
Wow. A lot of Kansas ties there.
RE Frank Mason-watched Hawk Talk last night from pre TCU game and Self said Mason has only been Big 12 player of the week like 2 times?
And here is, likely the Big 12 player of the year and in contention for NPOY.
Thou Bloweth, Not.
Maybe it wasn't ol Slick Rick, but somebody sucks, that is for sure.
Their AD should be fired for this, too.
Anyone with any concept of NCAA basketball knew Weber would fail at Kansas State.
Together, they have destroyed everything Huggy/Frank "I'm always Mad" Martin did to resurrect the program.
is this vote happening between NCAA's or after?
@kjayhawks I agree it doesn't really sound like much. And it isn't. But when your team has been under a microscope for charge after charge since December, it is time to line your GD Ducks and take care of business and quit bringing negative attention to the Program and University.
The program is an Oklahoma State season gone nuts (2003) from having won 16 in a row.
@mayjay fair enough but do you think That the coverage would have been the same for Duke or North Carolina had they just won 13 straight?
@mayjay I think Self painted a pretty scary picture when he said that. It definitely opened my eyes to a perspective I had not considered.
ESPN FRONT PAGE makes me el oh el real hard on the floor my a$# off.
