@JayHawkFanToo Charlie Strong buyouts totalled about $14,500,000 in, if I'm not mistaken. UT Alumns have big deep pockets, as does Nike--so I doubt much of the decision will hinge upon $$ owed and more upon W/L &tourney success.
I'm starting to wonder if Shaka rode his magical wave into a High Level Program and now will not get it done.
On a different note, It shows how dicey the tourney can be as he is winless against Self since then. Kansas ran into VCU on the wrong day.
I'm thinking if he doesn't get it turned around within the next two years, UT will be showing him the door. Chris Beard is going to start taking his Texas Recruits.
@dylans thanks, could not recall if Garrett was coming in this year, or next year. We can hope he has the ability to step in and make an immediate impact.
Graham is around 40 in several mocks. If he goes off during the next 3-4 weeks he could play himself into the first round---POSSIBLY. But I still think there is better than 50% odds that he comes back to Kansas.
What would be terrible would be to lose both Svi and Graham.
That would leave Malik Newman and Vick and Cunliffe to carry the load.
@KansasComet exactly. It's fun to bash on him for all the obvious reasons but this quote is a fairly common strategy for coaching and teaching "next play".

Three years into the program and Svi makes inexcusable freshman mistakes. His offense has improved but I think his d has actually been worse each year.

Self winning 13 in a row with a 6 man roster, matching one of the greatest coaches of all time in the second strongest conference--& winning this year by several games and beating UK at home and Duke on neutral court along the way seems like the best resume for NCOY of the year.
Few takes the zags to the FF and self doesn't I would agree he would be the front runner.
Would have loved to have seen the evolution of this years team with Doke. Or, at least Bragg playing to his projected ceiling.
