@JayhawkRock78 Forte had 23 pts, osu had 18 pts off fast break, to our 2. Just remember it was ugly!!! We out scored them by 12 in paint.

@justanotherfan if you were rating them against top teams, then that would hold more value. But based on the Bradley game, there's no comparison to the big 12. They have some great hard-working kids, no doubt! Put them against top talent, weekly and check then.
@Lulufulu85 I think you want to win all games! Why not have a reward for it before the tournament! Conference champs! It's nice to be rewarded and it's nice to reach goals! Bill is blessed w/ so much talent this year, more than he ever has. Our bench has won games for us this year, I think that is our biggest advantage during the tourney!

@drgnslayr love your picks! Want to add to it. Greene had some valuable minutes, I like him! Wasn't sure what he did on that free throw. Even though we sat in the nosebleed section, I thought the refs were awful, felt like they were jr high refs! Don't know if it's been mentioned, the band was playing, "Hey Jude" while Tharpe was being interviewed. Couldn't figure out why til they got to, na na na na na na na.... Awesome!!!
@JayHawkFanToo sorry drgnslayr!!!!! You know how I can't stand Marshalll! But jhawkfantoo said it perfectly, and much nicer than me. "The issue rather than the game"! Nice, hardy-working group of kids, just a slimy coach! He called us chickenhawks, I heard it! I hope we play them in tourney, not afraid. If coach Self thinks it benefits us, then I'm good w/it. There is a reason why nobody will play them and it's nothing to do w/being afraid!

Great read about Tarik, have nothing but respect for this new Jhawk! Love to have more stories like this about other Jhawks and their families.

@drgnslayr forgot to tell you how pleased I was w/transition game. It's like they figured out that playing great D was resulting in a whole lot of fun!!! One of my favorite hi lights was when Wiggins got an offensive board off a free throw, put it back then sprinted like Bolt down the court and caused a Texas TO. Didn't know if you could tell on TV.
@drgnslayr got to give this to the team for the big improving defensive EFFORT! Now we know they can! I was blessed to be there, will be there tomorrow too! Don't want this to end!!!

Tharpe, except for first TO, played pretty darn good D! I know he couldn't hit his shots, but saw a big improvement from him. Saw somewhere that he spent extra time in film w/coach Howard.
@konkeyDong that could be one of the worst calls I've seen in a long time!! How many nightmares has Embiid had about that throw-down? Revenge is never sweeter than doing it at AFH!

@truehawk93 couple of pts, would love to set pace right off the bat, might even play Tarik pretty quick, if they're in zone. The way Ridley threw Embiid down last time still makes my blood boil! I think Tarik was just coming back from ankle sprain, not 100%. If we can get the ball out and run, Embiid would have a field day! Did they zone us last time? Last, we got to slow their pt down!

@VailHawk brings back fond memories, my son and I were in AFH for their last game. Best time ever! I had bought new adidas socks and when were down 19 at half, I believe, he made me take them off. It worked! What a way to end the border war! Happy times! Appreciate the article HEM

@HighEliteMajor said it before, when we pressed like we did against Kstate to get OT, and also 2nd half against TCU, good things happen. We sped up and fed off of it. Great outlet passes up the court to see Wiggins, Selden, etc, in the open court would please the heck out of me! Really like to see us in the passing lanes esp. On the first pass.
@DinarHawk we're ready now, let's have the other team adjust to our tempo-ramped! Besides, the longer we take to run the slow-paced O the more chances to turn it over?
@drgnslayr really like the up tempo to keep the chest pumping! When we pressed at ksu to go overtime, amazing things happened, also the press we put on TCU the 2nd half. I'm a firm believer that starting out w/a press gets those same chests pumping! Wiggins in open court against one is easier than him in half court against 3-4. Think the same w/selden. At what point do we keep saying we can't because they're freshmen?
