@jaybate 1.0 well if they're getting hurt in D1, imagine what would happen in the NBA? Bigger, stronger, faster and don't give a crap if you are injured! If someone takes you out, fine them. Nobody cares.

@jaybate 1.0 I think all this bs foul calling is why Embiid is injured! I could write a page on it. First they call crap on him, then they review every damn call, then when you think you know what goes, the other center throws you down and "no call"! Throw in you've only played a few years, and it's one big mess(nice word for what I wanted to say) don't forget he hit heads w/Felix-Texas player had a concussion ! What 7 footer wouldn't be beat up? Physically and mentally!

@Blown hopefully rest will take care it, said there was no structural damage. Embiid has gotten so beat up, physically and mentally.

@ralster totally agree! One of my favorite moments from last year was EJ dribbling thru Spradlings legs. We made him look like an all star last pm! I'm a firm believer that playing d is from your heart!

@drgnslayr I don't want to come down on any of them. I heard Wiggins say in some interview that he had no idea how hard college ball would be. Realizing that, does that mean he understands what that next level will be? Is it failure for him and his parents to NOT go?

@globaljaybird I lost my best buddy a little over a year ago, unless you have had a best buddy, you can't understand! Just wanted to share a happy memory, Zak, not real name, would go to door every time I yelled during KU games. You know, that's a lot of times. His last year I started tearing his treats into small pieces(pregame ritual) and every time I got excited I'd give him a piece. He loved it and would bark when I got excited. Needless to say, he became a great KU fan! Peace my friend!
What kind of defense do you think Kstate will play on us? I think they'll pack it in.

When I was watching Texas-ksu, I saw ksu pack it in and Texas couldn't get their big guys the ball. I'm thinking we will see the same thing?

@HighEliteMajor I can't stand the way Smart has flopped around this year, but it's been entertaining for us. Seriously, I feel for him now. OSU has hit rock bottom. No matter what that dumba$$ grownup said, Smart can't react! Yes he needs some counseling , but that dumba$$ fan could also use some too! I think back how shocked I was that Smart was coming back this year. I thought that was great for the Big 12 . How much have the rule changes effected Smarts frustration? I think they have confused Embiid. They confuse me.
There's a difference between heckling an NBA man and a college kid. Didn't I read the antlers were banned from some games this year? Smart was wrong, and he should be punished and will be, but there's just something wrong about an older man acting like that!

I love this topic! Enjoy everyone's posts. It's so hard for me to understand how you can play and not be competitive ! All of my family is and in everything. Working w/kids at all levels trying to teach them to value ball is always important. I tell them it's like a million bucks . During practice I toss the ball out at random times and we always have them dive on it. If they are playing d and aren't watching the ball I toss it out, not at them. Ball is more important than man. Man can't score w/out ball. I also walk around and try to knock the ball away from them when they are not looking. If I do, it's push-ups. Post game is always about d, we give defensive stats, charges get candy, most floor burns get candy or whatever, Gatorade. I really think you can teach kids to be competitive. Some of the kids we had played juco and d1 ball. Fun times!
