Vick with the ball in the open court is rather frightening...
Grimes is clearly scared of contact - he shys away from it like the plague on drives...
@wissox Most of them aren't really "shots" at the rim - just tossing in the air and hoping for the best...
Our entire offense is Lawson put backs...

Definitely need this one. Have to hold court - not sure how many road games we will get this year. Otherwise could be looking at a 3 game losing streak. Defend the perimeter, dammit....
To think that this group was picked number 1 preseason by many. Certainly not playing anything close to it now. Lots of issues. Perhaps the biggest difference from past KU teams is the complete absence of a transition game. The Hawks have always been known for being able to run the break, create points off of steals and win the transition game. Not so with this team. Unless Dotson can get past everyone with speed for a layup, we can't score in transition - no one knows how to run a break or can finish at the rim....
Down one, you have to take it to the hoop - no excuse for effing around on the perimeter trying to throw up a contested fall away 3....

After 1 shot attempt in the 1st half, no assists and 4 turnovers, maybe HCBS gently told Dotson he needed him to be a wee bit more aggressive???
I missed the entire first half - perhaps a good thing - 23 effing points??? Anything one thing account for the putridness...
@BeddieKU23 It's just one mock, but I think it makes two points fairly compellingly - first, that regardless of how the rest of the season plays out, this is a pretty good coaching job by Self given the paucity of NBA caliber talent on the team; and, second, the paucity of NBA talent in the league as a whole is probably why B12 teams don't do as well in the NCAA tournament as conference rankings and seedings would otherwise suggest.
It ain't pretty, but we'll take it...
@kjayhawks They've missed shots, but we haven't really gotten any stops, forced them into bad shots or shot clock violations...

Texas hasn't gotten out of the 60s the past 4 games, but they hang 40 on us in a half at AFH....
We're over 50% from the field, 50% from 3 pt line and zero TO's at the half at home --- and we're down 2.....
