I thought someone managed to get in touch with Jaybate after he left, and he'd said he was basically done wasting his time with college basketball. Money/OAD/ShoeCo ruined it for him. He also seemed increasingly pessimistic about geopolitical trends, IIRC.
That was five or six years ago. It's certainly possible he's gone to the big Allen Field House in the sky.

Some journalist needs to take the time to compare the 2022 JD vs the 2024 JD. I'm not wasting my time to do it, but it's screwed up. He's obviously throwing differently (not even standing on both feet half the time this season). Play option decision making is totally F d up this year. Stupider. Just a total 180 of the guy we knew, and I'd like to know WTF happened.
So disappointing. Glaring mistakes from players and coaches to blow three winnable games. Still time to turn this around, but at this point... what we're doing ain't working, coach LL.
