UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 14, 2024 01:29 AM

Falling on it didn’t look easy imo

UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 14, 2024 01:28 AM

Review broke our mojo

UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 14, 2024 01:23 AM

Good drive except that stupid screen pass. I hope they fake that and throw one long. Otherwise why run it again after it was almost picked the first time

UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 14, 2024 01:19 AM

Ditch that screen play it sucks

UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 14, 2024 01:03 AM

@webjay option. Depending on the read, jd can keep it

UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 14, 2024 01:02 AM

Refs big in this half

UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 14, 2024 12:57 AM

Our Defense needs to score some points

UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 14, 2024 12:55 AM

@wissox there was no… ?

UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 14, 2024 12:48 AM

Used to run the option more that had a pass option. Haven’t seen that all year

UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 14, 2024 12:47 AM

The guy was considered a heisman possibility 2 years ago. Was a beast in that comeback against Arkansas in the bowl

UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 14, 2024 12:42 AM

Time to pull jd

UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 14, 2024 12:38 AM

Sure wish they’d show more of the field during the plays. Coverage was solid on that sack

UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 14, 2024 12:35 AM

Blow the whistle faster

UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 14, 2024 12:34 AM

Bs call. Guy has 75 yards rushing

UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 14, 2024 12:12 AM

Still ahead. Hope one guy plays a little smarter in the second half

UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 13, 2024 11:50 PM

Weird call on third down

UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 13, 2024 11:48 PM

Three camera angles

UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 13, 2024 11:40 PM

QB ball hog

UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 13, 2024 11:31 PM

Rewound. Looks like a ref got hit in the gonads on the touchdown @Crimsonorblue22

UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 13, 2024 11:28 PM

@patoh3 said in UNLV - Any Bets?:

Something seems off with JD’s throw.

Not as fluid/smooth as it used to be

UNLV - Any Bets? • Sep 13, 2024 11:22 PM

Chiming in to agree that the camera work and production is ridiculously bad.

Rock chalk

Let’s talk Illinois • Sep 03, 2024 12:16 AM

to add...

Illinois hasn't had a decent QB since the three good ones in the 1980s. And the teams were pretty flawed even with those three: Eason, Trudeau and George. It's been over 20 years since they squeaked out a conference championship and again got the crap stomped out of them in a bowl. I haven't followed them since about 1990, so I don't know exactly when they dropped the chief, but it sure hasn't hurt or helped them.

That said, if there's a curse, I can dig up an old Tshirt and work a little spell in favor of Rock Chalk but I don't think we need it.

Let’s talk Illinois • Sep 03, 2024 12:15 AM

I grew up an Illinois fan (70s-80s). There's no NEW curse.

I think it's been an interesting discussion.

I Know it's Pointless, but what if. . . • Jun 14, 2024 01:52 AM

Illinois player not guilty. Interestingly, Morris was mentioned as being accused of the same conduct in the same bar.

Tornados • May 03, 2024 01:17 AM

@dylans said in Tornados:

always enjoyed watching people freak out in Lawrence over 40mph wind

Uh, we have 40 mph winds here all the time. No freakouts. A few inconvenienced picnics, that's it... like the time my pringles blew off my plate and stuck on my wifes face. Good times!

KC and Topeka TV weather folks get pretty over the top with the tornado coverage though, good grief.

You know it's a big day • May 03, 2024 01:11 AM

I think Furphy will be extremely successful in the NBA. He was smart, mature, serious and focused in all the post game interviews. Instinctively, he has to be one of the best freshmen pro prospects in a long damn time other than the obvious 1 and dones. I'll check back here in 3 years and see if I'm right.

IMO, transfer rules are fine and past needed. NIL rules are fine and definitely needed. Players were getting exploited (for program $) and trapped (just for control, I guess). I think both changes were actually good for players and programs (why have a transfer sit out a year?), but programs are just taking advantage of the gray areas now to make it a bidding war for disgruntled or greedy players. Maybe it will crater into it's own making at some point.

2024 Coaching Carousel • Apr 17, 2024 01:30 AM

I'm happy Pope is out of the Big 12! Perfect fit at UK.

2024 Coaching Carousel • Apr 10, 2024 11:56 PM

What's interesting about the Kentucky situation is that it will be similar to KU sometime in the future when Bill retires or leaves.

I think UK is overlooking that Wes Miller dude at Cincinnati. He's going to be a solid coach over the next couple decades.

Rest? These guys are 19-23 years old. Unless they are only sleeping 4 hours a night (which is my guess), they don't need extended periods of inactivity to let their fragile muscles rebuild. I haven't bought this BS excuse from coach since he started rolling it out about 5 years ago. It's been obvious conditioning is trash with various players.

Imagine coaching a guy like Hunter, out of shape from the day he was born, thinking that letting him rest more would improve his conditioning.

New strength and conditioning coach is needed, IMO. Or maybe a new philosophy about conditioning.

Self always says, "well, in the tournament, you have the long time outs and longer half time, blah blah blah." There's no way those guys should have been that gassed half way through the second half--ALL YEAR. I literally haven't seen one other team in the tourney that looked as wiped out except maybe Illinois in the second half vs UCONn.

Getting an extra minute or two to catch your breath doesn't do anything if your legs, lungs and heart are not in shape to begin with.

What about 2020? • Mar 27, 2024 02:50 AM

Women's bracket with home court advantage clearly eliminates nearly any upsets. Look at this year's bracket. 5 or 6 "upsets" in two rounds. It's ridiculous.

What about 2020? • Mar 27, 2024 02:48 AM

@approxinfinity only 3 overall number 1 seeds have won it in the past 20 years.

so 15%

Lady hawks in Cali • Mar 26, 2024 03:55 AM

Great tourney effort and season by the players. Made it to a couple games this year and this is a solid group and fun to watch. Schneider still a big meh high school caliber coach imo

Lady hawks in Cali • Mar 26, 2024 03:47 AM

My god the complaining up 18

Lady hawks in Cali • Mar 26, 2024 03:25 AM

Refs took over. Not many upsets in the womens tourney with home advantage. Hawks just have to keep rebounding and hitting shots

Lady hawks in Cali • Mar 26, 2024 03:03 AM

Still in striking distance

The problem with honesty… • Mar 25, 2024 07:19 PM

Hard to believe this year's 23-11 is KU's worst record in 35 years. (19-12 in 1988-89)

We have it pretty good!

Sundays Rd of 32 games • Mar 25, 2024 03:33 AM

73 free throws in this trash game so far

Ended with 50/75 from free throws. Kudos to Houston for surviving that garbage

Saturday’s Games (round of 32) • Mar 24, 2024 04:00 AM

These creighton Oregon announcers are trash. They need to go back to whatever the sport is where morons pretend to beat each other up in a cage

Zigging the Zags • Mar 23, 2024 08:50 PM

Zags haven't missed a shot have they this half?

Zigging the Zags • Mar 23, 2024 08:49 PM

I got my lettuce all planted this morning, so win or lose, I'll be eating salads in about 40-60 days.

Zigging the Zags • Mar 23, 2024 08:48 PM

wish I could see some stats for just this half

Zigging the Zags • Mar 23, 2024 08:44 PM

@DanR said in Zigging the Zags:

It's whatever the opposite of what we are shooting, I know that

Zigging the Zags • Mar 23, 2024 08:43 PM
