Stop em.
Blow a whistle ref
Falling on it didn’t look easy imo
Review broke our mojo
Good drive except that stupid screen pass. I hope they fake that and throw one long. Otherwise why run it again after it was almost picked the first time
Ditch that screen play it sucks
@webjay option. Depending on the read, jd can keep it
Refs big in this half
Our Defense needs to score some points
@wissox there was no… ?
Used to run the option more that had a pass option. Haven’t seen that all year
The guy was considered a heisman possibility 2 years ago. Was a beast in that comeback against Arkansas in the bowl
Time to pull jd
Sure wish they’d show more of the field during the plays. Coverage was solid on that sack
Blow the whistle faster
Bs call. Guy has 75 yards rushing
Still ahead. Hope one guy plays a little smarter in the second half
Weird call on third down
Three camera angles
QB ball hog
Rewound. Looks like a ref got hit in the gonads on the touchdown @Crimsonorblue22
@patoh3 said in UNLV - Any Bets?:
Something seems off with JD’s throw.
Not as fluid/smooth as it used to be
Chiming in to agree that the camera work and production is ridiculously bad.
Rock chalk
to add...
Illinois hasn't had a decent QB since the three good ones in the 1980s. And the teams were pretty flawed even with those three: Eason, Trudeau and George. It's been over 20 years since they squeaked out a conference championship and again got the crap stomped out of them in a bowl. I haven't followed them since about 1990, so I don't know exactly when they dropped the chief, but it sure hasn't hurt or helped them.
That said, if there's a curse, I can dig up an old Tshirt and work a little spell in favor of Rock Chalk but I don't think we need it.
I grew up an Illinois fan (70s-80s). There's no NEW curse.
I think it's been an interesting discussion.
Illinois player not guilty. Interestingly, Morris was mentioned as being accused of the same conduct in the same bar.
always enjoyed watching people freak out in Lawrence over 40mph wind
Uh, we have 40 mph winds here all the time. No freakouts. A few inconvenienced picnics, that's it... like the time my pringles blew off my plate and stuck on my wifes face. Good times!
KC and Topeka TV weather folks get pretty over the top with the tornado coverage though, good grief.
I think Furphy will be extremely successful in the NBA. He was smart, mature, serious and focused in all the post game interviews. Instinctively, he has to be one of the best freshmen pro prospects in a long damn time other than the obvious 1 and dones. I'll check back here in 3 years and see if I'm right.
IMO, transfer rules are fine and past needed. NIL rules are fine and definitely needed. Players were getting exploited (for program $) and trapped (just for control, I guess). I think both changes were actually good for players and programs (why have a transfer sit out a year?), but programs are just taking advantage of the gray areas now to make it a bidding war for disgruntled or greedy players. Maybe it will crater into it's own making at some point.
I'm happy Pope is out of the Big 12! Perfect fit at UK.
What's interesting about the Kentucky situation is that it will be similar to KU sometime in the future when Bill retires or leaves.
I think UK is overlooking that Wes Miller dude at Cincinnati. He's going to be a solid coach over the next couple decades.
Rest? These guys are 19-23 years old. Unless they are only sleeping 4 hours a night (which is my guess), they don't need extended periods of inactivity to let their fragile muscles rebuild. I haven't bought this BS excuse from coach since he started rolling it out about 5 years ago. It's been obvious conditioning is trash with various players.
Imagine coaching a guy like Hunter, out of shape from the day he was born, thinking that letting him rest more would improve his conditioning.
New strength and conditioning coach is needed, IMO. Or maybe a new philosophy about conditioning.
Self always says, "well, in the tournament, you have the long time outs and longer half time, blah blah blah." There's no way those guys should have been that gassed half way through the second half--ALL YEAR. I literally haven't seen one other team in the tourney that looked as wiped out except maybe Illinois in the second half vs UCONn.
Getting an extra minute or two to catch your breath doesn't do anything if your legs, lungs and heart are not in shape to begin with.
Women's bracket with home court advantage clearly eliminates nearly any upsets. Look at this year's bracket. 5 or 6 "upsets" in two rounds. It's ridiculous.
@approxinfinity only 3 overall number 1 seeds have won it in the past 20 years.
so 15%
Great tourney effort and season by the players. Made it to a couple games this year and this is a solid group and fun to watch. Schneider still a big meh high school caliber coach imo
My god the complaining up 18
Refs took over. Not many upsets in the womens tourney with home advantage. Hawks just have to keep rebounding and hitting shots
Still in striking distance
Hard to believe this year's 23-11 is KU's worst record in 35 years. (19-12 in 1988-89)
We have it pretty good!
73 free throws in this trash game so far
Ended with 50/75 from free throws. Kudos to Houston for surviving that garbage
These creighton Oregon announcers are trash. They need to go back to whatever the sport is where morons pretend to beat each other up in a cage
Zags haven't missed a shot have they this half?
I got my lettuce all planted this morning, so win or lose, I'll be eating salads in about 40-60 days.
wish I could see some stats for just this half
@DanR said in Zigging the Zags:
what are they shooting, 100% this half or 110%?
It's whatever the opposite of what we are shooting, I know that
what are they shooting, 100% this half or 110%?
there's a lot of time people
elbow to the choppers
