Finally somebody that thinks the no-call was ???. Thought I was losing my mind. :) I wish I could find some video on that play, so I can put my mind to rest. Lol
I'm thinking something was said to Graham from MFoster and it was like? What did you say? payback kind of thing. Hey kids will be kids. :)
A haircut will do wonders for ya. ')
I respect your memory, Yet my memory though foggy :) the ball was clearly over the rim and hit something. Think about it the ball was coming back to the front of the rim when it was blocked and the shot or layup came from the side. I don't know maybe I'm wrong. :)
Did not that ball hit the back board or rim? and was coming down? Better question is if that ball was not blocked would it have gone in? I'm thinking it was. Tried to find some video on it to no avail. :)
It's not so much what he says but what he doesn't say. Take his interview today after the game.
When you get your ass kicked you tip your cap. Well at least that's what I was taught. Just saying.
But wasn't it over rim??
I feel you, but man who do you sit? Thinking outside the box here I'm afraid if BG starts it would hurt his game, as he really a spot shooter (a deadly one). Teams would game plan against him.
Coming off the bench it's hard to game plan against him. Also remember HCBS loves defense and BG though making big strides still gets beat and doesn't recover quickly enough.
Congrats HCSnyder.
Kstate fans are going to be in for a rude awakening when HCSnyder decides he's had enough.
Listened to a lot of Bruce Webber interviews and the dude has no respect for KU or HCBS. I would call him head coach but the dude has never won with his own players. ;)
I get not loving your opponent, but man you have to at least respect your opponent? HCBS does it all the time.
I'm not sure what Seldon's final stats were but man something seemed different about him today. He was blocking shots, taking shots, and just seemed to have more hop in his step today.
Is the sleeping giant awakening from his slumber?
Man I hope so!! B|
Ok someone with a greater mind than I explain this rule? I always thought if the ball is above the cylinder or rim and the defense player touches the ball then it is goal tending?
Was not FMason's layup above the rim?? Am I losing my mind, or do I not fully understand the rule?
I have to admit I'm doing the same thing when Greene lets it fly. :)
It's a point that most don't take into consideration.
Read about this. :(
Still wish the kid was playing at KU.
With all the OAD's and big time College Sports, players like CF become causalities. :(
Ah a pool player. ;) Hell I don't know how many shots I missed trying to set myself up for the next one. lol
I'm sure HCBS does some things to set up our beloved Jayhawks for the next game, or some game in the future. Yet when it comes to the players and even it's fans it's one game at a time. That's why fans watch, players play, and HCBS makes millions coaching the game we love. :)
I'm kind old fashion in this regard. I look at one game at a time. So much can happen from today till next Monday. A loss here or a win there not only by KU but also by another Big 12 team can change all logic. What was supposed to be a tough game could be come a snoozer, and vice versa :)
No really like clock work after KU plays a game. I get on Espn look up their next game to see who they are playing, where, what time, and will it be televised. I guess I'm the fan that never looks ahead. Well unless I'm planing on attending a game. ;)
Oh come on? Are you that bored that you would stir the pot over someone using the term "the most"? What is this called?? Extremism.
How many times have you been watching a KU game or a highlights of a game and said to yourself or someone that is "the best" play I've ever seen? We've "all" done it. :)
However most likely it's not the best play you've ever seen or in this case why Wiggins isn't really "the most".
It's called living in the moment. It's hard to compare apples to oranges. Some were lucky enough to watch Wilt play, but what about those that didn't? Are they wrong to make a claim that's "the best" player, or That's the most talented player? As they are living in the moment, and imprinting their minds and their being with what they are seeing, and feeling. Which is the most talented and so on.
Just my two cents
Jamari was like a pit bull and the ball was soaked in blood.
When this KU team comes out like a bunch of crazed dogs, they are unbeatable.
Some of you have posted this very mindset, as I've done. When this team plays with the mindset that every loose ball, and every rebound is mine they overwhelm their opponent.
I know the concept of the X's and O's, but man this team plays with heart, passion, and never die attitude who can beat them?
Reality is they are beatable. :( However if this team brings it for 40 minutes. Name the place, the court and the team I'm putting my money on KU. :)
Ah that damn grade point average. Kind of Ironic it means everything for a kid to get into a college, but when they get there no big deal. :)
In order for KU to win they need to play as a team. They need to have high energy, and passion. Most importantly they need somebody to step up when the ship starts rocking, and it will. There are a plethora of players that could make this stand or claim, but will they?
By all rights this is a very young team. However the time for accuses are over. It's time to man up. Playing the Longhorns is like KU facing it's greatest fear. (Size in the paint) This will be a gut check game for KU. It's now or never. If this team wants to write it's name in the history books, then they need to lay all out on the line. They need to show the world when you play the Jayhawks size doesn't matter.
Ok, Just my two cent. ;)
That's what I'm talking about. If KU plays with energy and desire then they are crazy good. If they can learn to play that way for 40 mins every game. The sky is the limit for this team, and I too would welcome a rematch with UK. ;)
Some will say hey it's Texas they always fold like a cheap suit. Rick Barnes couldn't coach his way out of a wet paper bag. Yet Texas has something that KU doesn't ""size"".
I'm not trying to predict bad things for our beloved Jayhawks. I'm just saying this years team has a Achilles heel and it's size. I know some will say we need to do this or do that and we will win. However I think it goes much deeper than that. I'm not sure HCBS can scheme or craft a game plan that brings a victory.
Many times in my life as well as most of you. A barrier was before my journey. I couldn't out smart the barrier. I couldn't run around it, go under it, or go over it. I had to man up and go through it.
If KU is to reach greatness this year they have to go through Texas's size. They have to be like if you try to block my stuff, then I will dunk it. If you pack the middle with your size then I will rain bombs from three land. In what ever you do I will make you pay. I'll make you pay when thought it wasn't possible. I will get every loose ball because I want it more. When you knock me to the ground I will get up and knock down my free throws. When you least expect it I will take the ball from you. When ball clanks of he rim I will have that rebound because your size means nothing to me.
Ok I'm done. :) Rock Chalk
Last year's team would seem more talented but I like this year's team better. If I was a betting man, which I am ;) I would bet on this years team all day.
Seeing Oubre diving across the floor says it all for me. This year's team wants it., they just ((ain't)) figured it out yet. Last year's team seemed timid and to have a bit of a entitlement complex. I would never mean any harm against Wiggins, but I felt that a lot of times he played not to get hurt. Oubre may not be the talent of Wiggins, but I'm not sure Wiggins has the same passion as Oubre.
The only wild card in this scenario would be Embiid. I really think this kid can do Hall of fame stuff. Only problem can he stay healthy. I'm not sure this years team would have any answer for him. However with the much improved point guard play this year. I'm not sure Embiid could turn the tide.
I guess the real answer is that last year's team never hit their ceiling and this years team still has a chance.
I'm not sure what is missing in Wayne's world, but that kid has some serious talent. Hope he finds it.
You know I can think of two dunk attempts by Selden that he missed, yet were so close that it would have been madden to any person that likes hoops. ;)
I know Selden is struggling right now but man does he have some hops. :) If he can find his mojo OMG!!! I'll be looking for some Championship tickets like right now.
I don't know? There was some calls against KU's guards that just left me shaking my head, and talking to myself. Maybe I'm crazy but man it didn't seem like the refs were doing us any favors.
Think about it like this how many times did you see KU go into the paint with the ball? The KU player goes flying and the ball goes the other way. NO FOUL
Yet a OU player so much as put his foot in the paint. It's a foul?
I know it sounds like I'm making excuses but I'm not just something I noticed.
Ah please don't make me do it. Please, Please.
NO I can't, No, No,
Damn it I'll do it.
If a KU misses another dunk I'm going
going
going
to actually listen to Jack Harry with out making faces or puking noises. :)
Wasn't really feeling the love at home either. :(
I love the concept that they can play outside and inside. Just hope HCBS doesn't reel in the outside game.
Let shooters bombs away. :)
Brannen Greene may not play the best defense but man is he cold when shooting the ball. His three changed the game.
I'm not pointing fingers or accusing.
However after watching the last two KU games. One a loss and one a win. I'm not sure the refs are calling a fair game? Ok I know I'm playing a the ref card, but man come on. In the Iowa St game it took 30 minutes before KU actually shot a free throw. Really?
Maybe I'm reaching but it seems KU has to get mugged before a foul is called and if they so much as breath on the opposing player they are going to the line. Just my two cents worth.
Am I crazy or do you agree?
Gentleman and Ladies we are about to see something we all knew was possible.
UNLEASH THE KRACKEN
Or in this case, unleash The Perry Ellis
No really I like the match up for him and think this might be one of those games he goes off. The focus is going to be heavily on the perimeter. Will the Clones hit the 3 bombs with enough accuracy? Will KU be forced to answer with their own 3 point attack?
I believe the answer is yes. With the floor spread out and holes all over the floor. Slashing, driving, dishing, and stop and pop will rule the day. A Perry Ellis kind of game.
This day will be remembered by all Clones far and wide as the day HCBS unleased THE PERRY ELLIS. :)
It would seem with the Eye test, this current KU team matches up quite well with Iowa St.
However Hilton is going to be rocking. Hopefully the newbies are ready?
I would be an ugly women. :) Trust me. LOL
I think some of you have me all wrong. :)
I'm not picking on Perry Ellis. Ok maybe a little, but I'm a fan and that is what fans do. However I promise you I'm his biggest fan. I want Perry Butterfingers Ellis to be the player we all know he can be.
Think of it this way what if the nickname sticks? and he turns it around and becomes the player we all know he can be. He goes pro loves the name so much he keeps it, and gets a multimillion dollar contract to endorse Butterfingers. Hey it could happen.
When I first got the nickname DoubleDD, I thought all my God. (Yea like I would give that to myself. ;) ) my life is ruined. However I accepted it and even embraced it. Today as an old man I'm still known as DoubleDD. :) To this day I still have people come up to me and say DoubleDD you remember me? and I'm like nope.
Ok I worked late tonight, had to DVR the game. :)
Let me just say before I give out this new nickname. I love this kid and wouldn't trade him for any of UK"s OAD's. I believe we need this kid to overcome and stake his claim. Kind of like Travis Releford.
I love you Perry Ellis but you are (wait for it)
Wait for it
Wait for it.
Butterfingers. :)
810 am??? Are you kidding me. If KU loses the streak, they'll mostly likely hold a party. Not only that but you'll get 8 hours of how HCBS has lost his stuff and should be fired. Just saying.
No different with Jack Harry. He'll be like I told you so, even though he picks against KU every year. I wonder why he does MU scum??? Just saying.
Damn it Lucas, Dunk it.
Love how KU is rotating the ball :)
UK down by two.
Just throw the ball to the rim Thunder Cliff will get it.
Traylor is a man
Opps. :)
A lot of fouls in this game.
I don't know generations can be fickle. Sometimes they do things the opposite or different just to be different than the generation before them.
That's why we see a big advertisement push to brain wash, opps I mean to encourage kids to want their product.
There is a belief in the advertisement and business world of customer loyalty. However it's really a ghost. A few generations back this theory would be correct flash forward a few generations, and it's all about the next greatest and coolest subject matter.
Even the aging great Americans aren't as loyal to the products they once bought. They too are looking over the fence.
No doubt Nike is King today, as they should be. They earned it, but things change. They really do. It wasn't to long ago if someone said Under Armor, you would have thought is that some kind of protection that a person where's under their uniform. ;)
DirecTV. :)
Numbers never lie, but after watching the game and several others. Reality says to me Ellis gets pushed around like a kid brother. :)
All I'm saying is he shouldn't be the go to guy. Let him do his thing but in spurts.
@Crimsonorblue22 You are the voice of reason. :)
