We know Braun, McCullar, and Timberlake are gone. So I'd think you could add a wing starter from the portal, two bigs (one HS, one portal?), and and least one guard (sounds like HS).

@Texas-Hawk-10 yep, this is 100% accurate. Not only did the players want him gone, the boosters did too. He was not liked by literally anyone at KU by the end. When you’re a middle manager and lose the people below and above you, it’s over. And honestly I think now he knows it. You don’t see him talking trash about KU like you saw Leach (RIP Pirate) talk about Tech.
Yormark is a hoops guy through and through. I really think he believes this conference is tapped out in football and needs to find revenue elsewhere. The problem is the current economics of college sports. There’s not a lot you can do when the NCAA basically owns the only other big revenue source. Which is why if we’re stuck in this AAC/MWC Frankenstein’s monster the power leagues need to recapture that hoops postseason revenue so we can hightail it tf out of here
I haven't watched enough 2024 guys to have really strong views on anyone other than Flory, but keep in mind if they don't get the top guys on their board it's an immediate pivot to the portal to get the last of the covid year guys. The 2024 class almost without exception will get ABUSED year 1.
@jayballer67 it definitely can't hurt. It's soooo early with 2025s it's just hard to say. They can't even really be recruited yet so time will tell. But it won't hurt to have three DUDES talking up KU all season.
@approxinfinity underclassmen I've got no idea. But looking at true juniors and above, LJ Arnold, Cobee Bryant, Mello Dotson, Devin Neal, Jalon, Jason Bean, Craig Young, Devin Phillips, Jared Casey, Mike Novitsky, and Mason Fairchild could all get cups of coffee in the league if not more.

I’ve heard good things about the secondary. Like NFL scouts think Mello is a real pro. And obviously Cobee is super talented, he’s just got to tighten things up. Marvin Grant got better as the season went on and the belief is he can keep getting better. Kenny kinda just is what he is now. But if those guys take a step forward it’ll make the DL look a lot better.
So while yes it is literally true the defense could be worse it’s also literally true I could get a date with Hillary Duff this weekend.
I've got us at 7-5. The offense is going to be thermonuclear hot since we return 10 starters from a top 10 S&P+ squad. But until the DL actually improves to where we can get stops our ceiling will be limited. I'm optimistic about the wholesale changes up front but until they actually do it we'll see.
