Another disappointing end. Self proves once again it takes a lot of things to go right for him to win in March. I love final fours and we hardly ever get there

@DCHawker exactly. People got mad at me, but you could tell how the game was going to end at the start. Oregon was the aggressor. Another great team with no final four. So frustrating.

@DanR nope. We have a bigger hole and can't stop them. This is the problem with Bill's teams other than the 08 team - they don't deliver the first punch. Time is running out. Sad end for Frank who has worked so hard.

This reeks of past elite eight games. Get down double digits, take the lead, then not enough to get the win. Bill just has a hard time in the tournament. It is his kryptonite

@DoubleDD I've watched them lose to Indiana when they couldn't get a stop. I've watched them lose to Tcu and ISU in the same way. This team doesn't care about toughness or defense and it is manifesting itself in a bad way. Right now, they are getting punked

@kjayhawks yeah he needs to do some inner reflection on how to improve in these situations. Vcu and nova all over again.

Guys, we're done. Our guys came out with zero passion and B ball is except for Frank and Vick. Oregon came out with energy and purpose while our guys stand around. Sad to end it this way for Frank but he has had no help.

This is the lazy effort we saw throughout the year. Now is not the time to play bad defense.

This is Oregon's game. Their tempo, their style their offense. Feels like the Nova game where we lost playing their tempo. Not looking good

Not playing good defense at all. Got to tighten things up A LOT.

Well, this is what I was worried about. Our guys look tight and tentative. Reminiscent of last year against Nova

Our guys will need to play their best defensive game of the year to win.

Worried that this a game where Oregon could have a really good offensive game, as they have plodded along the last couple weeks. Need to come out with great defensive energy.

What will be most interesting is Bill Self and how tight he is. If he is relaxed, I like our chances. If he has the Michigan game look, then our players will have to overcome it. The Elite Eight has been hard for him - only two wins in eight tries.

@DoubleDD I wish but I doubt that will happen. This will be a half court grind it out game.

IMO, there was zero need to bring that up at this time. Even if it was a joke, why say it? What was the purpose of it? Sounds like someone is still jealous....

I would prefer this type of stress free elite eight game but that isnt going to happen.

@brooksmd I disagree. Hayes missed like eight free throws by himself. Cant do that.

This Baylor game is ugly and Baylor looks terrible. Oooh boy

@Lulufulu I agree about the matchup. The key is defense. We need to make it hard for them to get to the rim and avoid turning the ball over.

Apparently, Bill's lack of success in the E8 has not been forgotten. One of the guys on Pardon the Interruption (not sure their names) kept talking about how tight Bill gets in the game and how it affects the team. I sure hope he lets the guys play their game, just like what theyve done so far in the tournament. As long as we dont get caught in a slow, plodding half court game, we should be fine. Frank and the guards need to push it at every opportunity.
