@drgnslayr Iowa State then WVU would be brutal, but the tourney is hard also. Good prep
@Crimsonorblue22 yeah, I think sometimes things are blown out of proportion as far as depth and everything. There is plenty of rest after the Big 12 tournament where it shouldnt make a difference.
@bskeet nova and unc will probably be one seeds. Syracuse may not even be in. Hard to tell about wsu- some say they won't put the eight/nine seed closer than the one seed. I would say Michigan State is the best option.
@Blown I agree
@BShark I hope they are in a different region.
@BShark i know I'm watching
@BShark have you ever heard him say that???
@KUSTEVE yes
@truehawk93 YES!!!!
@Bwag +1000
That last possession epitomizes their defense this year. That can't get a stop when they need it.
@rocketdog reality, man
This looks exactly like an early round upset. No discipline, bad passes, can't make a shot and can't get a stop.
@BeddieKU23 fourth bad half in a row
@DoubleDD negativity = facts. Fact - we are down at home in the second half to an 18 loss team
@BShark I'm curious - what do people think is going to be different in the tournament? Their defense has not been good all year, their shooting has been down this year and they are not very disciplined. I don't buy the short bench excuse. Villanova has had blowouts in conference and they are just as thin.
@DanR you cant get away with that in the tournament.
@Hawk8086 thats what Im saying. Inexcusable for a supposedly battle tested, hungry veteran team.
@BeddieKU23 joke of a half. And on senior night
Wow. come on
@KUSTEVE this should be a 15 point game, not 2
@KUSTEVE I dont expect perfect play but rather good execution. Isnt this a veteran team? They are sloppy, miss layups and have mental breakdowns. there is a reason OU has lost 18 games.
@DanR He is such a soft, timid player. He needs to spend time around some grown men during the summer and play stronger.
Struggling with a BAD OU team. The tournament is a couple weeks away...
Does JJ really shoot 90% in practice? Not sure I believe that
Boy mental breakdowns late in the shot clock. Come on guys!!!
@DCHawker missing bunnies
Man I hope the second half goes better than this. Boy oh boy good thing the tournament isnt today
@BShark thats the trouble with gambling on steals. It can put the team in a bad position
@BShark lol typical Franny
@JayHawkFanToo Fran sure got excited!!
@globaljaybird calm down man
@globaljaybird I dont believe that. That is very simple and he must not be getting told
@Bwag no we're getting shots but missing
@globaljaybird coaching staff needs to instruct him on how to run a pick and roll
Bragg needs to flare out on that pick and roll and get a wide open shot.
@BShark Been in a slump lately. Hopefully they will get out of it.
Bragg looking very soft on that rebound. Dont bring the ball down.
@kjayhawks well, make shots anyways
Just cant make a basket. Shooting slump continues
well, great start guys
@jaybate-1.0 and @KUSTEVE
I am frustrated as well, but the refs do not decide the outcome. Jaybate, you mention the discrepancy in coach's performance during the regular season and the tournament. Here are some examples for you. 2011 - Markief had eight turnovers by himself and a good three point shooting team goes 2-21 against VCU. Did the refs try to distract them when they were shooting?
2013 - Johnson commits a ten second count and a bad pass in the backcourt late in the game against Michigan. Instead of turning it over, what if Michigan doesn't have those 30 to 40 seconds to complete the comeback? Or what if we scored on one of those?
2016 - KU commits six more turnovers than NOVA and loses by five, but the game was even closer than that. What if we score on even one of those possessions instead of losing six possessions? We would be talking about Bills third final four.
This is elementary basketball analysis. You can't keep giving the other team chances to score while your team loses chances to score. Am I understanding you guys correctly that turnovers don't matter?
@KUSTEVE where were the refs against Mercer? Or lehigh? Or Louisville in 2013?
@JayHawkFanToo so KU didn't make any mistakes? There was nothing they could have done better? Again, you're making excuses.
@JayHawkFanToo they do affect games, but they dont decide outcomes. As a player, that argument that refs decide outcomes is the silliest notion I've ever heard.
@JayHawkFanToo more ref blaming. Thats what Marsha fans, Baylor fans and the cryclones do constantly. Apparently, their teams have never truly lost a single game to another team - those pesky zebras got in the way.
Remind me how many games did Duke lose last year? What is their record this year? Did the refs help them in 2014 against Mercer?
@JayHawkFanToo to me, thats just a weak sauce excuse. What games has KU lost because of ref bias? I am curious.
@Texas-Hawk-10 gonzaga was never the number one overall. A couple weeks ago, they were the fourth number one. The committe wasn't impressed with their wins apparently.
@Kcmatt7 definitely. Imo, UCLA is the best team this year. Need them to win out and win the Pac 12 tourney.
@BeddieKU23 did Carlton even get ten minutes on saturday? He didn't even play enough to show whether he can or not.
