@BeddieKU23 nothing west virginia does is news to our veteran players. Its all about maintaining poise and composure, something that tech did well and baylor didnt. Have to be strong with the ball
@JayHawkFanToo maybe, maybe not
You are right about pressure and intensity - that is hard to simulate in practice. I really want to win this one. The last time ku won in morgantown Withey and Releford were still playing. Right now, WVU fans are full of it. They were chanting we want kansas. Hopefully our guys will have a little chip because of it.
@JayHawkFanToo Baylor has not looked good the last few games. Oregon did not look good at all at the start of the season - I watched them in Maui and they struggled, but now they are picking it up and have gotten better. This is not the same Oregon team that Baylor beat. If we make WVU pay for their double teams we can beat them.
@drgnslayr coming into this year, I said that three road games will determine how well we do in March - OSU, WVU AND ISU. If we win those three, which we havent the last several years, then I predict this team will go to the final four. We can beat West Virginia at their place. We are the most equipped in the conference to pull it off. TCU was close the other day but Fisher had six turnovers that really hurt them.
Baylor as others have said is not a good press breaking team and Drew does not help. Our team puts four guards on the floor that can all handle the ball unlike Baylor. While WVU played well, Baylor's turnovers cost them, specifically the careless mistakes like dribbling off a foot or bobbling a pass. We need to attack the pressure and get layups and open threes as a result. Its time for Frank and Landen to get their first win at Morgantown.
@Crimsonorblue22 he did. much better energy to start the second half.
@JayHawkFanToo he will have 3 of 7 games and he will have 4 of 5 games. Variances happen in sports. Next
@wissox where is stupid michael?
@jaybate-1.0 he should not have passed it to him
Boy not closing out well at all. Good thing this is just OU and not Baylor or ISU
Bad shot,OU score. Turnover, OU score
@kjayhawks does he remember that the ncaa allows dunking?
@Blown that's what makes Kentucky so tough. Fox and Briscoe drive it all the time
Mason AGAIN!!
@jaybate-1.0 lol
@KansasComet good defense that time
@DanR very little defensive discipline
Frank is unreal tonight. Making his case for POY. A 40 point night would help
@jaybate-1.0 Kentucky struggled earlier against 8-7 vanderbilt. It happens
@BeddieKU23 shades of Sherron!!!
@wissox making his case tonight
@DoubleDD true dat. Good energy right now. Need to keep the foot on the gas
Finally a little defensive pride and the rebound. Where was this earlier?
@approxinfinity and that's why you can't rely on making shots. These guys aren't good enough to do that. You have to focus first on stopping the other team
@DoubleDD yes but those are games we should dominate not scrape by. With a veteran group that returns three starters from the elite eight team, that is not too much to expect.
@BShark correct. I listed a few I remembered.
@DoubleDD you think we looked good against KSU? Or Indiana? Or Sienna?
@BShark yes it would. This team has no fire or urgency. That's how it's been all year
Hopefully after this week we will have all our sucky games behind us. This season has not been very pretty at all
FSU going to beat Duke probably. They are a legit team this year
@wissox playing without fouling is not rocket science. This is the mental part of the game. Discipline is the key
@stoptheflop no excuse for it
@approxinfinity and a foul. Right on cue
@BShark true. They don't look experienced or hungry at all.
@Crimsonorblue22 with the way our guys have been playing, I would not bet against WVU. They look like an experienced and smart team that is hungry. Our guys too often look like they are going through the motions
Ugly. Very ugly
Embarrassing
These guys turn it over when there is no pressure. What are they going to do against WVU?
@approxinfinity that is an accurate description.
Bad defense by svi
@wissox I was hoping they would put it on espn news
@DanR 29 turnovers for baylor. Wow
@Bwag the game
Getting out of control
@approxinfinity I think Huggy bear will win
@brooksmd thats because baylor has taken far fewer shots due to the turnovers
@approxinfinity I think so
@jaybate-1.0 apparently you are incapable of objectively debating with someone else without immature rebuttals. I am done with this thread.
@jaybate-1.0 did you watch the game? lol He went up high for a one handed dunk. If he is injured, how can he do that?
@justanotherfan winning at Tech is important for us because we would have a leg up on WVU. I am still hoping the guys can get the job done at Iowa State and West Virginia this year. I certainly think its possible.
