Jacque Vaughn is now 24-8 since he took over as head coach of the Nets. I hope he leads them to an NBA title.

He can go get drunk with Marsha and his wife. Maybe they can invite their old drinking buddy Chris Janz to come join the party ( if he has time).

What do I mean? His dad is a nut.

Watching Fran McCafferty blow up again- another T. No wonder his son wanted to get away from that.

I expected this, even after she tried to save him. The old " my face hit his fist" defense never works.

I really think we're cream of the crop this year. I keep saying 14-4 is our floor.

Lifted this: thought it was pretty good:

Since Dec 1:

KU Opponents: 81 fouls
KU fouls: 112

KU Opponents: 112 free throws
KU free throws: 69

“Damn refs! Always helping Kansas win!”

Let's say you're an Indiana player, and you lose to Kansas. How would you like a letter like this?

KU vs Tech Game Thread • Jan 04, 2023 06:34 PM

Well, the team is national championship good, and I think our analysis isn't far behind. Some really great points made by all. Don't think anyone had KJ doing what he's done so far. We spent the first 5 or so games coming up with players to replace KJ. Zach was first. Then it was Udeh. Then it was Zuby. KJ just toiled on. Then he starts making buckets, and he hasn't stopped since, and we've quit looking for replacements. Just an amazing transformation.

. . . Crying about the refs

We've got some real tear jerking going on this morning. No comment on Kev having his leg grabbed while trying to shoot, or KJ being cut under on his dunk, though. Wonder why that slipped their minds? Could it be the ESPN created "narrative" is taking hold?

KSU clearly winning it all, anything less would be a disappointment.

Their fanbase was insufferable until they got smacked by Bammer. Now they're all revved up again. I had one say, " well it looks like there are two teams above the rest", and I told him...no there was 1 team- the rest are irrelevant!

I'm still on Christmas break so I drove up to Madison to watch the Badgers. Watched game when I got home at 1AM. Looked at Instagram not expecting to see KU score. I did see the 1st half and first 5 minutes of 2nd. Once I found out final score, I didn't want to take time to watch the rest especially with us melting down a bit. Glad to see a win at TTech. A tough place to play for a decade or more now. Terrific win for the nations best.

Just watched the ending. Another controversial ending with Jalen fouling the guy on tech before the spectacular Adams dunk. But not our fault the refs miss a call.

Speaking of Adams, what a game! He's really improving, gaining confidence, passing well, and cementing his place in the lineup. He'll be in beast mode by the time he's a senior.

But goodness, what a game by Dajuan!! Didn't see every moment but knocking down big shot after big shot in the 1st half.

1 loss going into 2nd week of January is probably a little better than I expected by this point.

Speaking of Wisconsin, did you see what that punk Hunter Dickinson said about you guys?

Tech fans crap on Kevin:

Trap game tonight • Jan 03, 2023 03:05 PM

@BeddieKU23 said in Trap game tonight:

I will preface this by saying this isn't your typical "trap game" where KU might be looking ahead to another game after this, but I think it's a trap game given the circumstances.

First and foremost, Kevin McCullar is returning to Texas Tech after playing 3 years for them. The inter-conference transferring has seen an uptick with the transfer portal the way it is, this used to be unheard of but now it's becoming the norm. Returning to the place you bled for, won't be easy. Tech isn't a forgiving fanbase- just see Chris Beard. They will give him hell tonight. Going to be an emotional game for him, Kev seems like an emotional player on the court and this team does not perform well when he's not playing well (1st half against OSU for example).

Second, this team is not playing great. The last two games have been average performances, both victories but close games at home. First road game for a lot of these guys in a tough environment, these guys are going to have to shoot the ball well to win tonight which has also been a bit of an issue in the last pair of games.

Thoughts? This isn't going to be an easy game by any means.

The line opened at KU -1.5, and is now KU -1. This is going to be a barnburner. Remember, they beat us last year at their place.

@Jethro my only concern is that this team seems to know they can flip a switch and make things happen. That can be a dangerous mindset. I’d rather the switch be stuck in the on position.

KU/Oklahoma St Game Thread • Jan 01, 2023 01:33 PM

Yesterday reminded me of last year. This was Miami/UNC all over again. We held them to 28% shooting in the 2nd half. It's like we put a big clamp on other team's offenses the 2nd half. The CLAMP lives!

Every OSU fan and neutral fan who wanted KU to lose will fixate on that block that could have been called a foul but will ignore things like the most obvious moving screen in the world to free up Bryce Thompson for a 3 that put OSU up 64-62.

And then when we play at Oklahoma St later this season that controversial block will probably be replayed giving the impression that we had some huge officiating advantage because the game was at AFH.

Kyle Boone of CBS Sports is already having fits over the call. Gimme a break!

No whining if you lose. No rushing the field if you win. Act like you've been there before. Tuck your shirt in- no agriculture references. Remove the pocket protector. ( Trying to help lil bro as he enters a rare moment in the spotlight).

Should be an interesting match up. They have some shot blockers, so Jalen should get at least 1 shot blocked...lol. We're favored by 10- I'm thinking we cover.
