JD6 is talented but injuries have ruined him. He is not the Heisman caliber QB he was for the first half of the 2022 season.

I am of the opinion that summer is a great time. There are lots of good novels, short stories, series, music, and movies to be watched without being distracted by sports or the feeling of obligation to prove to people online that your takes on sports are more correct than theirs. Then there is always that "spending time with your loved ones" thing.
What makes you say he is a one year rental?
I am very high on Mbiya's upside BUT he has to stick around for at least another year to become anything other than a decent backup. Most likely he enters the portal after this season.
Congrats on your retirement. I would recommend writing a book or learning a language to fill your time.

I don't think KJ played the 3 for more than 2 minutes last year. That said, 4 guards is a superior approach. I would have liked to see us start 4 guards and rotate Flory and KJ at the 5, Hunter being kicked out of the rotation until he steps up as a leader and hits the weight room
Flory should start at the 5 but he can be a serviceable 4 for stretches as well
Its possible for us to challenge for a natty but we would need Darryn to be every bit as good as advertised plus we would need Flory to make a major leap and be an All-American caliber player

Embiid was never going to beat Florida that year. However, our 2019 team if Doke stays healthy and LaGerald doesn't quit the team might be another final 4 or title as well.

@Texas-Hawk-10 Its not impossible but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. I was just thinking the other day about the fact that Frank is arguably the 3rd best player in Kansas basketball history. We rarely have seasons of that caliber.
@approxinfinity I would be very surprised if he, or anyone else on the team, were as good a player as Frank Mason. Luckily, despite what the irrational DaJuan haters will tell you, you don't have to be as good as Frank Mason to be a good player.
