RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 05:14 PM

@BShark Neal Brown is about to get PAID.

RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 05:08 PM

Or how you can get to the point where you can get a delay of game on a punt for that matter lol.

RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 05:08 PM

I never understand why teams take timeouts to avoid a 5 yard penalty on a punt

RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 05:02 PM

ISU putting up a fight against OU.

RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 05:02 PM

Has a defense ever outscored an offense for an entire season?

RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 04:55 PM

I love the backside midline read in CFB. More of that. It'll pop.

RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 04:47 PM

@BShark I just hate to see a team get screwed by a dirty play.

RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 04:44 PM

Kendrick should play. Bender doesn't throw it well enough to justify him starting. Kendrick gives this offense another dimension.

RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 04:43 PM

Poor Nebraska having to play a walk on at QB after their starter got hurt last week from a dirty Colorado player twisting his knee after being down. Was one of the dirtiest plays I've seen in awhile.

RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 04:40 PM

@BShark Couldn't say it better myself.

RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 04:38 PM

Two motions, two first downs.

RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 04:38 PM

@BShark missed a field goal. Bet they still cover the spread.

RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 04:37 PM

Our offensive scheme is garbage. Few motions. No Jets. No misdirection.

It's a disgrace to the spread offense.

RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 04:33 PM

The poor special teams absolutely drives me crazy for a team that sucks. You can control that. And if you ever want to win against even a mediocre team, you can't have mistakes like that.

RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 04:31 PM

Holy shit

RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 04:28 PM

Ok just run the ball here and get points no matter what.

RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 04:25 PM

I like what the D has going on. When Dineen tackles everything, you can play the pass a little more. If we want to win games, it's going to be from the D making big plays and creating turnovers.

DO WE NEED THE MEN IN BLACK? β€’ Sep 15, 2018 04:20 PM

Men in Black is one of my favorite movies. I've legitimately watched it close to 100 times. When I was in College I watched most Saturday mornings after a long night at the Wheel.

RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 04:19 PM

What he said ^^^^^

RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 04:19 PM

@wissox I bet you could stream it.

RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 04:15 PM

My future father-in-law went to Rutgers, so we have a little friendly bet going on. Nice to have something making this a little more interesting today.

RUTGERS: TALK TO ME β€’ Sep 15, 2018 04:14 PM

CFB Week 3 - Degenerate gamblers thread β€’ Sep 15, 2018 02:33 PM

@BShark If Barnes isn’t hurt, I bet he goes for 150 yards today.

CFB Week 3 - Degenerate gamblers thread β€’ Sep 14, 2018 09:43 PM

Bill has typically driven lesser teams into the ground.

My favorite pick is Duke. I think Vegas is overreacting to their QB going down. And just how bad Baylor is.

Seth Littrell - My new Number 1 Candidate β€’ Sep 14, 2018 09:41 PM

Well I don't know that we have a ridiculous buyout. But this would be our way of letting them know that they have all the time they need to get the job done.

Believe in something β€’ Sep 14, 2018 09:40 PM

@justanotherfan this move makes me believe Nike wasn't meeting guidance. Needed something radical. But I don't know that we see LT effects of this until 2019 ER in April of 2020. However, Nike is definitely a great buy right now. I'm sure their Q3 report will be off the charts.

I'm still trying to feel this all out. Nike probably also just raised the sales of UA and Adidas. They would be good ST buys as well.

Seth Littrell - My new Number 1 Candidate β€’ Sep 14, 2018 07:42 PM

And whoever we hire next needs to be given a 10 year deal, that basically handucuffs us to them.

Seth Littrell - My new Number 1 Candidate β€’ Sep 14, 2018 07:41 PM

@Texas-Hawk-10 I agree that Gill wasn't given enough time.

And I wouldn't be upset if we landed Miles.

CFB Week 3 - Degenerate gamblers thread β€’ Sep 14, 2018 06:05 PM

@kjayhawks That was Tulsa who gave Texas a fight. UTSA played Baylor within 17 points and lost to Arizona State by 42. If I were to bet this one, I'd take KSU on the over personally. But again, unless Skylar Johnson proves he can throw a football, I won't bet KSU to do much.

Lol yea the only way to keep corruption out of it is to take all the money out of it.

Seth Littrell - My new Number 1 Candidate β€’ Sep 14, 2018 05:40 PM

@Texas-Hawk-10 Your view and opinion on this is valid. I just don't agree with it. You hold the Petrino indiscretions against Long, while I don't. You look at the after the fact results of Beilema, while I look at what I believe an ADs job is. Which is to get the best candidates to even consider the job. Bielema was certainly a Top Candidate, considering Wisconsin to Arkansas was a lateral move at best. Bielema didn't perform. And Long does need to take ownership of that. But, I'm not going to absolutely crush a guy for making what seemed to be a slam dunk of a hire.

Believe in something β€’ Sep 14, 2018 05:13 PM

@justanotherfan How Dallas Police is in charge of the case, I'll never understand. This should have immediately gone to another City in Texas.

I'll wait to see the results of the case before I go on a rant.

Seth Littrell - My new Number 1 Candidate β€’ Sep 14, 2018 04:45 PM

Long made two good hires. Spin it however you want. But to hire a guy that put Arkansas in the top 5 was a great hire. The ending was unfortunate, but that was a hell of a hire.

Stealing away a two time Big 10 Champion coach was also a hell of a hire.

If he steals away another P5 coach that has won two big 10 championships to come coach at KU, I'll be stoked.

CFB Week 3 - Degenerate gamblers thread β€’ Sep 14, 2018 04:22 PM

@kjayhawks 21 points is a lot for a KSU team with no offensive identity...

CFB Week 3 - Degenerate gamblers thread β€’ Sep 14, 2018 02:34 PM

Seth Littrell - My new Number 1 Candidate β€’ Sep 13, 2018 02:47 PM

My only knock on Candle is that he took over a program already doing well.

I do like Neal Brown as well.

Seth Littrell - My new Number 1 Candidate β€’ Sep 13, 2018 02:11 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 I think he'd have to make a move to a small D1 first to be even a coordinator. But probably could be a position coach at a P5. And would be a fantastic add for that because I think he'd be able to recruit JUCO players as well as anyone. Would be invaluable at a place like KU.

Seth Littrell - My new Number 1 Candidate β€’ Sep 13, 2018 12:08 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 From what I know about old teammates that went to Butler to play football, the boosters take pretty good care of the coaches and players...

Seth Littrell - My new Number 1 Candidate β€’ Sep 13, 2018 12:57 AM

I think $omething could convince him if his "dream" job doesn't end up coming available at the time he could be made a millionaire overnight.

Seth Littrell - My new Number 1 Candidate β€’ Sep 12, 2018 08:35 PM

This has to be the guy if he finishes the season strong. I'll be paying attention. Play Arkansas at 3 on Saturday.

  • Player at OU.
  • He was a Grad Assistant at KU under Mangino.
  • Coaching Experience in the B12 (Tech), B10 (Indiana) and ACC (UNC)
  • Successful Offensive Coordinator at UNC, going 11-3 in final season. Scoring 40 PPG.
  • Took over a North Texas team that was 1-11 the season before. They won 9 games last season and are 2-0 this season.

This is the guy. He checks all the boxes.

2019 Recruiting β€’ Sep 12, 2018 07:31 PM

Oh man I would love to land Wiseman just for the delicious tears of UK fans. And them claiming that Cal "must have quit recruiting him. Dollar Bill and Adidas pay off another one."

Missing Marcus Peters β€’ Sep 12, 2018 02:29 PM

@BShark That's why I'm sure there was more too the Peters thing than just what we saw. I'm sure him getting into it with a coach was a big one. No way Big Red let's that shit fly. He seems like he can put up with a lot. But that is crossing a line.

Missing Marcus Peters β€’ Sep 12, 2018 01:33 PM

@BShark Do you actually, truly, believe Kelce, Tyreek and Peters are all in the same boat?

Missing Marcus Peters β€’ Sep 12, 2018 01:16 PM

@Woodrow that's what I said. Last year might have been the year they told him to calm down, and he was worse than ever.

Missing Marcus Peters β€’ Sep 11, 2018 09:17 PM

Fwiw, I have no idea the financial impact. I know that the Owners need to protect their business and I have no issues with the Owners not wanting to condone the Anthem protests as it does effect their business. I think the Player's Association will realize that the kneeling only costs the players money. Every person quits supporting the NFL means less money in players pockets. They won't sacrifice that. This has clearly already started, as only two player knelt week 1...

I also don't know what Peters was like at practice. Or what Andy Reid or Bob Sutton thought of him. Andy might have had to choose between Bob and Peters. And he should choose and protect the coach over the player 100% of the time in this scenario. No player is above the team. There is no room for Divas on the way to the Super Bowl.

However, I do believe that if you are an owner of a professional sports team, the goal should be to win. Marcus Peters would have helped the Chiefs win. His political stance, for one more season, is probably worth the financial sacrifice that came with it. A defensive backs group with Berry, Peters, Fuller and Nelson would be close to as good as anyone in the NFL has right now. Replacing Peters with Orlando Scandrick is a major, major downgrade.

I also think Andy and Bob should have done everything they could to keep Peters in check. He truly is an elite playmaker. Even if he exposes the D a little bit from poor tackling and freelancing, the turnovers he create are still a net positive. They needed to sit him down and try to get him to use his skill within the scheme better. And not be so emotional. And that could have happened two years ago, Andy gave him this season, and then washed his hands of the headache. It is possible.

To me, there is a lot to digest in this situation. But all I can come back to is that Peters is a top 32 CB on a rookie deal. And there is no replacing that when you don't have a 1st round pick or some dumb luck. I trust in Andy Reid, and after watching Mahomes on Sunday, I think the Chiefs will make the playoffs. But, if they get torched in a playoff game, I know I'll feel like they may have missed their chance to win a Superbowl.

Missing Marcus Peters β€’ Sep 11, 2018 08:43 PM

I think they probably could have picked up his option and still traded him for a 3rd or 4th round pick.

Missing Marcus Peters β€’ Sep 11, 2018 06:05 PM

Chiefs fans will lose it if the Rams win the SB.

Missing Marcus Peters β€’ Sep 11, 2018 05:50 PM

It was a poor football decision. They really should have kept him this season while he was still cheap.

Serena Williams β€’ Sep 11, 2018 04:57 PM

Fwiw, I do like Serena a lot. Fantastic Role Model. Or at least it appears from an outsider's perspective. But she needs to be called out for this B.S.

What mainly pisses me off is just her stealing a moment from Osaka. Who earned the right to enjoy every second of her victory and have the tennis spotlight on her for a week.
