WSU was overrated all season long.

I'm probably most interested in who ends up with that ECU job. Would be a great building block type of job for a young guy.

UConn cheated under Calhoun and is the only reason that program ever got off of the ground. I don't expect them to return to prominence.

I still think Miller ends up on this list. Program is just in shambles at this point. $10M is a tough pill to swallow, but they might just have to do that.

@mayjay I took a half day. Got in at 7 and leaving here in 15 minutes.

I'm sure most of you aren't avid gamblers or hate to "set money on fire," but this is the most fun time to bet. And, IMO, you get your money's worth. You put $2 on a game that you would normally not watch and you will find yourself cheering for a team you never thought and on edge for 2.5 solid hours. That, to me, is 100% worth $2.

@BShark Get them down with Dooley first and let him show them the ropes. He seemed to have done a good job with Miles before he took that G-League job.

I do hope that whoever the next coach is seriously considers Miles on their next staff as an Assistant.

ASU looks like they haven’t seen a zone all season. Really puts TCU at a disadvantage too. Don’t know who to prep for.

@HighEliteMajor absolutely In 2012. I don’t think there is a question about that one. We had a brutal road and I don’t think anyone expected us, as thin as we were, to make it out of that region. Then to beat a very good Ohio State team in the FF.

There probably isn’t another year, but we know he can do it.

@JayHawkFanToo Matchup-wise, I think we are a bad matchup for WVU. SHU will probably play us tougher than WVU did. They attack our weak spots better, imo. Delgado is legit on both ends. WVU doesn't have an offensive threat in the post like him.

WVU is very easy to guard really. SHU guards are talented and can drive the ball as well as shoot the 3 well enough that you have to respect it.

Just not a great matchup for us really. But if we play like we did this weekend, it shouldn't be an issue. When we shoot the ball well, not sure we can be beaten.

Happy to say he played here. Will go down as a top QB to ever put on a Chiefs uniform. If he struggles with Washington, I hope he retires as a Chief. But something tells me that won't be the case...

I rewatched that SHU vs. Nova game again. Nova should have won that game by 15. They missed shots that you watched them make all season long and the refs let it be a very physical game. SHU is 96th in 3pt defense and that game Nova couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat. Perfect recipe for an upset.

KU should be able to get theirs vs. either NC State or SHU. As long as someone unexpected doesn't go for 30, I'm not that scared of either team.

KU's road is tough. But Bill has both underachieved and overachieved the tourney.This feels like a year he overachieves.

Really nervous to see Mahomes though. If he throws 25 ints, then it won't really matter what our weapons look like.

@dylans Still plenty of room. I'd think that Watkins Cap hit this year is about $12M. Hitchens is probably $7M or $8M. Next year they will probably both jump, but with the cap increase that will be fine.

My estimation, based off of spotrac, is that we still have $3M in cap room after the draft. I expect Allen Bailey to get cut still, so add $6M.

We have about $9M or $10M left to spend this year, but there is always a way of finding more. Cutting Harris would save $2M, West $1.7M, Conley $2M, Witzman $1.3M, Zombo $1M.

Basically, if we need the money to bring in another big talent, it is there. We also have 8 draft picks once trades are finalized tomorrow. So we can build any depth we need through the draft or swap some of those for teams looking to get rid of vets.

There is also another $16M in dead money this year that we will have to work with next season. So, we can probably sign a big name and push most of the "cap hit" into next season.

The Chiefs got out of Cap Hell when they traded Smith and Cut Tamba. Just need to keep most of these deals under 3 years so we can sign Hill and Mahomes when the time comes.

Absolutely love it. Even with the 3yr - $48M price tag. I would guess that it is $30M guaranteed through the first two years with the option to cut him after the 2nd year if he isn't performing. But, the 24 year old WR should be a huge addition that helps the pass and run game.

The Watkins, Kelce and Hill combo looks like a terror on paper. Hunt should be able to run against 6 or 7 man boxes all season now.

Chiefs building something special, imo.

@BeddieKU23 That is why I think a defensive team may be a bad matchup for them. Wisconsin kept it kind of close with them early in the year. If Cincy or Tennessee can hold them to 50, we just might see a game.

@HawkChamp Newman and DG have changed their game a lot and we have actually been getting into the lane more now as well. Not to mention, Vick has improved at that spot and no longer hesitates. At least he didn't just a few days ago.

The thing about teams who haven't played a truly poor game yet this season, it means they are due.

I don't think UVA survives their path to the FF. It's just such a tough road where they will face talented offenses and brutal defenses. 3 of the top 4 defenses are in that region. One is Virginia, the other two are Tennessee and Cincinnati. So, if they can get passed UK or Zona, they have a brutal Elite 8 game that will be a dog fight.

@BeddieKU23 Agreed. It is at least in the back of their minds when they catch the ball that it needs to go in to Doke. Instead, over the weekend, they caught the ball ready to attack.

We really do need to play outside in. Let our guards try to get free for the first 20 seconds of clock. If they can't shake the D, THEN you throw it in to Doke and let the big man work for 10 seconds. But we definitely need to keep the guards in 100% attack mode.
