Michigan State Game Thread • Nov 10, 2021 12:56 AM

@FarmerJayhawk Cuffe and Yesufu could still be here too

Michigan State Game Thread • Nov 10, 2021 12:53 AM

@BShark one way of putting it 😂

Michigan State Game Thread • Nov 10, 2021 12:53 AM

HOLY HELL THIS OSU ENDING

Michigan State Game Thread • Nov 10, 2021 12:53 AM

@BShark his stoke is unreal though: can’t deny that

Michigan State Game Thread • Nov 10, 2021 12:50 AM

@BShark i think he will be a scorer for sure. Just that first possession he was in the guard went around him and I just imagine that is very scoutable

Michigan State Game Thread • Nov 10, 2021 12:47 AM

@BShark I hope. But you know my thoughts

Michigan State Game Thread • Nov 10, 2021 12:45 AM

@Kcmatt7 said in Michigan State Game Thread:

@wissox I would not play him.

And I hope I eat these words

Michigan State Game Thread • Nov 10, 2021 12:44 AM

@wissox I would not play him.

Michigan State Game Thread • Nov 10, 2021 12:43 AM

@BShark just confident enough. But mostly looks like he plays within the flow and offense

Michigan State Game Thread • Nov 10, 2021 12:42 AM

Just play 4 guards and let Jalen play the 5 when Dave isn’t in

Michigan State Game Thread • Nov 10, 2021 12:41 AM

Ochai absolutely improved. Dave looks good. JCL looks good.

Add Jalen to this mix and wowza

Michigan State Game Thread • Nov 10, 2021 12:40 AM

@BeddieKU23 Literally 4 starting quality PGs on one team when last year we had just Jaun and he wasn’t ready

Early Michigan St thoughts • Nov 09, 2021 05:24 PM

They lost half of their scoring from a 15-13 team. There is a reason that they started the season unranked...

No shit, Sherlock! • Nov 09, 2021 05:20 PM

I hope he finishes like 4th in the league and saves his job again. Trademark Bruce

Not exactly a work of art, but... • Nov 08, 2021 02:27 PM

@nwhawkfan Absolutely need to see the offense find some sort of mojo. Still unbelievable to me that we haven't been able to do anything for 3 weeks.

Have to wonder if some of it is bad luck (i.e. calling a deep shot play for cover 2 but getting a shell cover 4 look instead and vice versa). Have to wonder how much is Pat just not looking like himself. If maybe he is a little gun-shy from all of the picks.

Mahomes • Nov 08, 2021 11:39 AM

@rockchalkjayhawk The supporting cast is a big issue. But Pat is also just not seeing the defense well.

This team desperately needs to win 1 of 2 before the bye week, and then hopefully they can sort of reset and get some mojo back.

  • 2005-06: +3

We've picked up 44 wins against UK in the Bill Self Era. And if I were a betting man that expands this season...

Non-KU Games • Nov 06, 2021 04:53 AM

@BShark 9 point victory, but wow I was expecting them to be better with the grad transfers

Early Michigan St thoughts • Nov 05, 2021 04:20 PM

DUB.

But a close game only because we are missing two rotation players if JCL is out. Fully healthy squad runs them outta the gym I think.

  • PG - Harris
  • SG - Remmy
  • SF - Och
  • SF2 - Jalen
  • C - Dave
  • 1B - Braun
  • 2B - Yesufu
  • 3B - JCL
  • 4B - Cam/Mitch/KJ/Zach
  • 5B - Bobby

That is just such a nasty 10 deep rotation.

ESU Game Thread • Nov 04, 2021 01:32 AM

Zach you aren’t blocking that shot bro. Stay on the ground

ESU Game Thread • Nov 04, 2021 01:16 AM

@BShark I don’t think he finished his college career here, but a lot can change. Just seems so slow and not a great fit. Bill won’t care if he shoots 60% from 3 if he can’t play D. Saw that with BG

ESU Game Thread • Nov 04, 2021 01:13 AM

Bobby looks better than JY so far

ESU Game Thread • Nov 04, 2021 01:03 AM

@DanR took 6 years but he finally added the 3 to his game 😂

ESU Game Thread • Nov 04, 2021 01:02 AM

Poor Bobby looks like he’d get run in a normal year… too deep this year

ESU Game Thread • Nov 04, 2021 01:01 AM

This team looks good and Jalen and JCL aren’t even playing lol. Good to see.

ESU Game Thread • Nov 04, 2021 01:00 AM

@KirkIsMyHinrich a little. Looked fine.

ESU Game Thread • Nov 04, 2021 12:47 AM

@DanR He looks like he has "it." As much as 7:29 can tell you about a player.

Athletic, big, smart, coordinated.

ESU Game Thread • Nov 04, 2021 12:46 AM

@Bosthawk I'm good with it. This offense wasn't much to look at last season, Marcus Garrett (bless his heart he's going to do great things), just was not meant to run the 1 for Bill Self. Especially not without another guard who could get to the hoop.

Remy & 3rd year Harris & Yesufu will keep this team moving.

ESU Game Thread • Nov 04, 2021 12:13 AM

Lol this is so fun to watch. Not a million post feeds

ESU Game Thread • Nov 04, 2021 12:11 AM

@DanR lot of fast breaks

ESU Game Thread • Nov 04, 2021 12:07 AM

@BShark watch how Ochai and Braun’s 3pt % skyrockets this year with a guy (or two or three) who can collapse a defense.

ESU Game Thread • Nov 04, 2021 12:05 AM

Did I just see a guard get to the basket without a ball screen? Didn’t know you could do that.

ESU Game Thread • Nov 04, 2021 12:03 AM

@FarmerJayhawk we’ll be lucky to even win this game.

0-28

ESU Game Thread • Nov 04, 2021 12:02 AM

@BShark oh you’re gonna see him play okay. Accept it now

ESU Game Thread • Nov 04, 2021 12:00 AM

Mitch is going to get so much time this year lol

ESU Game Thread • Nov 03, 2021 11:57 PM

Ah the CB fadeaway sideways floater didn’t disappear this off-season. Such a high quality shot.

ESU Game Thread • Nov 03, 2021 11:56 PM

@BShark I have no doubt. Just funny…

ESU Game Thread • Nov 03, 2021 11:55 PM

@BShark we added 5 new guys with rotation potential and none of them are starter level lol.

Impressive

ESU Game Thread • Nov 03, 2021 11:53 PM

@BShark this start feels like we are watching the exact same team as a year ago. Obviously premature statement, but…

@BeddieKU23 here we call that “Sherron-ing”

@Oldmanhawk yea but he was their best player down the stretch… figured he was offered a starting spot (and maybe he was until Remy)

Talking Yesufu to come here and not start is the biggest effing coup if that is really how it goes.

Jalen • Nov 02, 2021 06:58 PM

@wissox Yep I am actually with you - just look at the Brit Reid and Henry Ruggs stories as to why. The world does not care that you are rich or famous or who your dad is once you get behind the wheel intoxicated. 10,000 drunk driving deaths happen every single year, you don't play around with it.

If you are lax about it, players won't care. Jalen jeopardized his own future when he got behind the wheel... Not Bill's fault.

Jalen • Nov 01, 2021 04:05 PM

@BeddieKU23 Seems like this is a good chance for Zach or KJ to get into the rotation early. Would like to see one of those two keep Mitch off the floor

Jalen • Nov 01, 2021 12:45 AM

One season without stupid stuff would be amazing

KU preaseason AP#3 • Oct 18, 2021 08:29 PM

@BShark They'll be more experienced, but I just don't look an 11 seed that went on a Cinderella run as a de facto top 5 team the next year. They were an 11 seed for a reason.

KU preaseason AP#3 • Oct 18, 2021 06:28 PM

UCLA had a good run but they aren't #2 in the country. They lost 10 games last season and were on a 4 game slide before the tournament.

Chiefs-Ravens • Oct 12, 2021 07:27 PM

The reality is that teams know they just have to bend & not break against the Chiefs offense because they know we can't stop them on the other end.

It is a strange turn of the tides that can't happen without an epically bad defense. We've given up 29 points or worse every game so far. Last season we gave up 29 points or more only 4 times all season. With basically the exact same group on that side of the ball.

Ultimately, I think that we've seen a little bit of a Superbowl hangover and some anomalies. Pat and the offense has turned the ball over at a rate that is unlikely to continue, and the defense has played at a level that is also probably far worse than they are actually capable of. If we see ourselves reduce turnovers and play just a bit better on defense this team will get on a roll again.

Clay Helton • Oct 11, 2021 08:35 PM

Crazy to me that UT and USC struggle so much to make a good hire and win as the premier schools in premier recruiting states.

Urban Meyer not ready for primetime • Oct 05, 2021 02:44 PM

@Marco I guess I don't get the outrage (from anyone who isn't his wife). He did something embarrassing to him and his family, but people are treating it like he sexually assaulted someone.
