@DanR Agree. And while Grimes is struggling, it's not like Garrett is taking the place of some great offensive player. Our guard-scoring other than Vick and sometimes Dotson has been pretty bad so you might as well play Marcus.
@KUSTEVE The 2012 team didn't have near the depth that this season's team does. Self only played Teahan and Young off the bench basically, and Young only averaged 11 minutes per game. Dedric has kind of been like our Thomas Robinson, though, in terms of numbers and how much we rely on him. Dedric's numbers are probably a little bit better than Robinson's were.
I'd rather keep Grimes in the starting lineup; I want Self to play Grimes through his mistakes and growing pains early. I know it kind of sucks now, but it could pay dividends in March.
Might have to add UNC to the list of teams that could beat the Cleveland Cavaliers after tonight.
Didn't care much for Jay Bilas' commentary today.
Didn't care much for Jay Wright's bonus timeouts at the end of the game.
Happy that the Jay Hawks won.

I think @KirkIsMyHinrich will appreciate this one...
Yep. Hate everything about Syracuse and especially Gerry McNamara.
Please notice the knock on West Virginia.
@Kcmatt7 If Charlie Moore could shoot.
If KU beats Villanova on Saturday, there's a good chance Nova falls out of the Top 25. KState is almost out of the Top 25 (tied for 25th with Indiana and Syracuse). Arizona is unranked. Another loss would probably make Kentucky unranked.
When was the last time that there were no Wildcats ranked in the Top 25? It could happen this season.
Evidently Quinerly posted this on instagram ↗ right after Nova's loss to Penn last night. He deleted it shortly after posting.
Also hearing that Quade Green isn't happy with his playing time at Kentucky and may transfer. Washington is the rumor as far as transfer destination.
Looking at the most recent NCAA Tournament projections, 21/31 games that Kansas plays before conference tournaments are against teams in the tournament field. The 10 games against teams that are not in the field are Baylor twice, Oklahoma St twice, West Virginia twice, Stanford, Louisiana, Eastern Michigan, and South Dakota. West Virginia, Baylor, Oklahoma St, and Stanford are all in the KenPom Top 100. West Virginia, 34th in KenPom and in the first-four-out, still has a very good chance to make the tournament. Louisiana, Eastern Michigan, and South Dakota are in the 130-175 range on KenPom, which is still in the top half of all D1 teams.
So, pretty decent schedule this season for the Jayhawks.
Agreed. I think it's likely that KU has at least one more big for next season in the form of a recruit, transfer, or someone on the current roster.
I am very high on Dave despite the fact that he can't get onto the court this season.
Dreaming of a world where KU has Dotson, Grimes, and one of Dedric, Doke, or De Sousa back for next season.

There was actually an AP voter who didn't include Kansas, Duke, Tennessee, or Auburn in his Top 25...
He says it's because those teams haven't played a true road game. What an idiot.
It's a good thing that Kansas can win a national championship without having to play any road games.
@wissox Or Texas Tech.
There was actually an AP voter who didn't include Kansas, Duke, Tennessee, or Auburn in his Top 25...
Jayhawks are #1 in both polls. Kansas received 57/65 first-place votes in the AP Poll. Kansas received 26/32 first-place votes in the Coaches Poll.
We will be ranked 1st. I would give it to Michigan right now if I were voting.
I called Tennessee over Gonzaga today. 86-78 was my prediction. BShark can confirm this.
8-0!
So, safe to say that Self did throw a chair at Dedric at halftime.
Gotta make the throws
DeRosa thinks it hit the rim probably.
Shot clock!
Dedric has scored our last 11 points and should probably get the ball.
Not saying Kansas is going to win, but if they do it's probably because the NMSU with the weird last name has been jawing at Dedric.
Easy charge call. Come on, Vick.
That was a blatant moving screen on the hand-off for 3. Come on!
Ball does not lie
Call changed by Joe DeRosa. Not surprised.
I didn't think that was a charge. But I'll take it.
3-8 from the line and Doke isn't even playing.

A lot of fouls not called on New Mexico.
Joe DeRosa + Sprint Center = No reaching fouls on NMSU.
The NMSU big uses his forearm every time he gets the ball. Ridiculous call
We need Jeff Boschee
Wow they called a carry.
Not being able to shoot the ball is a problem.
Moore that's your guy.
"Might have been all ball there."
He was all over his arm...
I think Jaybate is the one dancing.
Vick's the senior. He needs to be a leader off of the court too. I wonder if his attitude is affecting the rest of the roster right now.
I say we put Lightfoot's jersey on De Sousa and see if anyone notices.
Oh Sprint Center, how I hate you.
Honestly, NMSU is getting away with a lot of reaching fouls.
The NMSU's big whose name I can't pronounce is good but he uses his forearm a lot to create space.
I thought there were no reaching fouls today.
Azubootke
Sprint Center is cursed.

@KirkIsMyHinrich Any particular player he should throw the chair at tonight?
I'd go with Lawson I guess. But any of them really.
@kjayhawks And Arizona St.
