Marcus doing Marcus things
Make that, Doke.
That's not a good shot by TCU. Just went in.
@BShark said in Circus Font Is Back Game Thread.:
@KirkIsMyHinrich I know, I just hate it. Literally just sucking the air out of the ball on the perimeter.
Bane is a good shooter. Garrett should stay on him.
@BShark said in Circus Font Is Back Game Thread.:
TCU's entire offense is draining clock then jacking a three.
What else are they going to do?
Doke has 18, Dotson has 9, everyone else has 8. Agbaji, Moss, Garrett, Braun need to step up and make some shots in the 2nd half.
@BShark said in Circus Font Is Back Game Thread.:
Apparently that guy hit 5 threes in all of February. Amazing.
Playing with no pressure tonight. Let 'em fly!
The guy who is 5-6 from 3 is 31.8% on the season. This is like when Garrett got hot from 3.
Pretty sure Villanova is just wearing TCU uniforms and masks.
9-15 from 3. If they go 18-30 for the game then hats off to them.
Joe DeRosa looks like a goblin. I don't mean that in a negative way really. He just does.
We should be guarding the 3 and denying the pass. They aren't going to beat us with 2's.
7-13 from 3 is ~ 54%. If they do that for the game, they deserve to win.
Defender made the right choice covering Moss. Good shot, Dotson.
Bane carried and then traveled lol
Enaruna is wide open cutting. Why aren't we passing it to him?
Had Enaruna.
This is just MSU playing PSU last night. They'll cool off.

@KirkIsMyHinrich this 3 point defense or lack of is what scares me going forward. Run into a good shooting mid major in the second round and I’ll be sweating.
That happened already against Dayton. It took one of our best games to win in OT. This is not one of our best games.
I mean TCU isn't that bad. 16-13, just beat Baylor. We should be doing better though.
Just go to Doke every time.
This is good prep for the bs that will happen to us in the tournament.

Is De Sousa available to play or is he still out?
One more game
Thanks.
Is De Sousa available to play or is he still out?
Ochai take that
Well. The defense looks good.
The offense... exists.

WOW OCHAI MADE A PLAY.
Wiggins had 10 dimes last night. World is ending.
Wiggins is going to be a great fit with that group when Curry and Klay get healthy.
Minnesota didn't use point Wiggins enough. He's playing better defense too.

Drink every time this guy calls our 6'1'' pg a little guy.
And a share tonight. Go Tortillas.
I'm just glad KU didn't lose today. Seems like a lot of good teams are.
@BeddieKU23 That's a pretty insane stat. If you don't mind my asking, where did you find that?
If Marcus or the two players from Baylor don't win the award it'll be a complete joke. Obviously I think Marcus should win.
Doke has a better defensive rating (81.9) than everyone on that list and is averaging 2.6 blocks per game.
Dotson has a better defensive rating (90.0) than most players on that list and is averaging 2.1 steals per game.
Not sure why Zavier Simpson is on there.
Doke is trending upward, though. He's now averaging a double-double with a PER of 30.7, a defensive rating of 81.9, and a win share total of 5.0. Compare that to Luka Garza (who would probably get my vote for NPOY currently) who has a PER of 35.6, a defensive rating of 98.7, and a win share total of 5.4, Vernon Carey Jr. who has a PER of 34.3, a defensive rating of 86.5, and a win share total of 4.9, and Nick Richards who has a PER of 26.4, a defensive rating of 94.3, and a win share total of 4.7. Doke has the best defense by far of any of those bigs, is second in win shares, and is third in PER. His defense has been pretty underrated this season. Doke should be an All American at this point. If he keeps having 20/15 games, he might end up on the 1st team.
Right now my 1st team would be Garza, Toppin, Flynn, Pritchard, and Dotson.
Both honestly? Doke might be more important to the team because I think Garrett is a more competent back-up for Dotson than McCormack is for Udoka. And Doke takes us from being good to being elite. But I think Dotson has had a slightly better statistical season and is more likely to win the awards.
How can Oscar Tshiebwe look great against Kansas/Doke and then only get 1 point and 5 rebounds against TCU?
Kansas, Baylor, Tech, WV for sure and maybe Oklahoma for at-large. Everyone else probably needs to win the conference tournament and get an auto-bid to get in.
They'll be up for us. Their fans will be out for chair justice. I just hope no one gets injured or suspended.

@BShark love it love it!
Team chemistry last year: 3
This year: 9,001
Last season: 113.9 offensive efficiency, 92.3 defensive efficiency.
This season: 114.9 offensive efficiency, 83.9 defensive efficiency.
Might change a bit after the game today, but it's obvious where they've improved.
Some observations:
The officiating sucked.
Agbaji needs to play better. He looked afraid the entire game.
Scott Drew got dunked on all day because he couldn't make in-game adjustments defensively.
Doke is a God.
He's not a good coach. He couldn't adjust to Kansas running a high ball screen with Doke. He doesn't have good offensive or defensive schemes. He has 4 play-makers and 3 of them are good individual defenders, plus Vital. This Baylor team would be good with anyone coaching.
Scott Drew is a poor man's John Calipari.
Oklahoma is 43rd in defense per Ken Pom. They aren't that bad.
Hilarious apparently
Great, thanks.
Is Dotson going today?
I thought Braun did a pretty good job last night. He played defense, didn't turn the ball over, and grabbed a few rebounds. He didn't force anything, which is something I actually like a lot. He's like the opposite of Quentin Grimes.
And by the way, no one other than Dotson and Garrett was getting many shots up last night. I mean, Doke only had 6 shot attempts. We only had 45 field goal attempts as a team. West Virginia's defense just makes it hard for people who aren't primary ball-handlers to get shots.
Oof, Louisville.
They are. We beat them in Norman by 14. We should be able to beat them in Lawrence even without Dotson.
I guess it's good that our next 2 games are at home against Oklahoma and Iowa St.
