Anyways, Im watching mid way thru the second half of the Brazil game. I wanted to echo some earlier statements and add a couple of my own thoughts.

Selden is breaking out. He's been called small at 6'5" 230lbs on the wing and technically, yes he is shorter than a small forward. But, he is basically the same size as Rush and Releford but he is stronger and heavier. Dude could be playing football. He is just a beast out there.

Our front line minus Perry really has no offensive punch. Lucas, Mickelson and Traylor do have moments of greatness, hustle plays etc, but to rely on them next season for points is insane. What we do need from them is experience and leadership from being upperclassmen. They need to help guide Bragg and Diallo into being better all around.
Its that level of experience and talent in our front court that will push us over the edge next season.
I mean, so far into the WUG's our bigs have been outsized and out reached by both the opposing teams' taller longer bigs and we are beating them on the boards fairly soundly.
That kind of toughness and hustle is needed for us to be a top 10 team next season and those same elements are needed to be taught to Diallo and Bragg for us to be even better.

@RockChalkinTexas You know, its interesting to me about Selden playing so well on the wing.
Might be "small" at 6,5" but at 230lbs he is strong enough to play football out there on the court and move those taller skinnier wings out of his way. Selden is a Beast! Im just glad to see he is putting together a solid run and hope it can continue into our Jayhawk season.

@ralster Agreed totally. I am wondering, what does our competition look like? We know we can take China. But, what about the other teams? Who won the past 2 or 3 WUGs? Which countries can give us a run for the gold medal?

I think KU will benefit Hugely by using the 24 second fiba clock before the NCAA season starts, then it will even out a bit as the better teams get used to the 30 sec clock.

UK vs KU is gonna be a tough game and a huge game but I think we beat them at AFH.

May not be the end of the weave. I like it personally. But, 5 less seconds shouldnt be the end of the weave, just less time to execute. The 08 team ran it to perfection and Ive liked it ever since.

@jaybate-1.0 My thoughts exactly on the twins, albeit a bit more eloquent than I would have been able to. I too tend not to believe most things out of the entertainment media. Sure, there probly is some truth to it, it is most certainly not the whole truth. "We cant handle the truth!"

@RockChalkinTexas Here's a question for you all. Who would win, one on one, Oubre rookie vs Wiggins rookie, not sophomore Wigs. But Oubre and Wigs right after the draft. Who wins?
Basically same height, length, weight, basically same position.

I say Wigs. Oubre is good and has a much louder personality. But, Wigs can score at will, from anywhere. I would love to see the head to head stats on these guys. It seems to me that Wigs is a better defender too.

@Bosthawk For me personally, what keeps me connected to KU hoops is quite simple. KU is and always will be one of the best programs out there. Bluest of blue bloods, the best tradition, the best home court advantage, the inventor of the game coached here. Passion for the sport itself. I love college ball and I want to learn more about how the game is played every time i watch a game.
Yes, as the playing field changes with OAD/TAD era, it does take away from the pureness of the sport. Corruption within the shoe companies, the AAU circuit and freshmen wanting to bail for the league early so they dont play hard.
Those things are real but they wont keep me from watching our beloved Jayhawks year in year out.
