@HighEliteMajor I really do not know !! However, I would think it has to be influenced by the life style they live. I would guess they generally are not an "outgoing group" and they stay to their selves, with "strong family values." The parents "drill" the value of an education into their kids minds.

@VailHawk YES ... Graduated in 1960 outside of Pueblo, Colorado at Pueblo County High School, then to college in Ft. Collins, Colorado at Colorado State University. The CSU logo is "RAMS.". Then got my first real paying job just outside of Amarillo, Texas ... then moved to the K.C. Area (Overland Park) and got "hooked on the Jayhawks." Yes ... I must clarify that I LOVE their Style of BASKETBALL ... not football or any other K.U. sports.

There is absolutely NO WAY that any money would be provided to Cliff's Mom or Dad WITHOUT the signature of Cliff, himself, agreeing to future earnings of any type would be paid to the "Lending Business or Person!" This is common business practices of getting a signature from the wage earner that has the obligation to pay the funds back to the provider.

@HighEliteMajor ,,, YOUR POST is a Great, great post. It clearly describes what has occurred over the season. It is also sad. in a way. that it RIPS some of our players confidence out when it comes to that point in a game that we have to score with a 3 !! We absolutely lost some of our players (i.e. Greene) when Self took THAT TOOL out of the players TOOL BAGS. This (as you so well described) will determine how we end the season .... Self's way VS. the Fools Gold way with the 3.
It is also clearly evident that when we need 3's at the end of the game, we lack the confidence to make them. And i hope that this fact will NOT write the "KU's FINAL CHAPTER"!!

@Blown Interesting question!! My answer would be YES !! It is all about KIDS and what is right in the eyes of the law. Breaking laws results in consequences! And if you are in a position of authority ... there are still consequences and perhaps applied at a little higher level.
I think some of this speaks to the relationship between Self and Snacks. Apparently Snacks was holding something back (i.e. this activity) from Self!
Coach Howard has a job in which part of his responsibilities include telling kids to make smart decisions. He has now lost that credibility because of his actions he hasn't made those same decisions himself.
It does not matter what your belief of the enforcement of the marijuana laws are, Jerrance Howard was in possession of something that was illegal in the state that he was arrested. He made a very stupid decision and this is something that will negatively impact his ability to do his job going forward.

It is obvious what Self is doing with Cliff's minutes. It is NOT sitting him because of mistakes, or errors he makes. Self is looking to NEXT YEAR and wants the Big Dog on next years team. In other words, if Cliff plays a lot right now the NBA will come calling with a high draft pick that Cliff would take. So keep him out of the game and NOT let his draft status rise whereby he would be lost to KU and Self next year.

To summarize "it seems like the "old" site 'KU Sports' sucks, has no class and can't match ether the discussion level or the intelligent level of the 'Posters' here on KU Buckets.
