A win Saturday against Baylor puts KU 3 up with 4 to play and a chance to clinch at least a share of #13 at home against TCU when Brandon Rush's #25 goes up into the south rafters.
A win in Waco on Saturday now effectively wraps up the Big 12 for KU. It would put them 3 up on everyone with 4 to play and a chance to clinch a share of 13 at home against TCU on the same night Brandon Rush's #25 goes up into the south rafters.

Only second all time to the Missouri comeback
Third, there was this little game against Memphis in April 2008 that tops them all.
This is the 3rd best comeback of the Bill Self era behind #1 Memphis and #2 Misery.
Jackson should've called TO. Mason can bail him out if he hits both and gets it back to a 2 possession game.
At least Adrian still has the best hair in the Big 12.
Big time FT there, 3 possession lead now.
7 point lead ices it.
Wish we had Vick available right now.
@Bwag Only option, Svi and Vick are out too.
@wissox Hell no!
Adrenaline is flowing freely now!
@Eric-san As great as that was, Memphis was a little bigger (not deficit obviously, but importance of the game).
@DCHawker I agree with that and wish Self would play each of them 8-10 minutes to in a normal line up to give the guards more rest.
@Bwag Want to win isn't the problem, this team has dead legs from playing a 6.5 man rotation since December. That catches up to teams especially when the play 2 games in 3 days.
KU could not start this pressure and foul strategy earlier because they don't have the bodies to commit those fouls sooner.
@Bwag Using those timeouts is not changing tonight. Their shots have been short from the tip tonight.
All these shots coming up short is a sure fire sign of tired legs. Self needs to give these guys a couple of days off from practice. Rest is what this team needs more than anything else right now.
@Bwag Yes, you can't play 35+ mpg and expect players to remain fresh throughout the year
We're seeing the cumulative effects of tired legs for KU tonight. Bad shooting, lazy defense, and just an overall lack of energy for KU tonight. WVU has not played great defense tonight, KU has just missed a lot of good looks whicj to me is a big indicator of dead legs.
This is a tired team with dead legs right now. Self needs to play Lightfoot and Coleby more minutes in a traditional 3 out 2 in line up to get his guys some rest for March.
Two hands Josh!
That was not a foul by Mason.
These are some ticky tack fouls they're call on KU. Let them freaking play!
Next time out, send an equipment manager out there to take that lid off of KU's basket.
@JayHawkFanToo Self did not expect the twins to jump early which is what led to the recruiting debacle that is known as the 2011 recruiting class at KU. The twins departure is why that 2011-12 was so thin on depth because Self expected them to return and wasn't actively recruiting anybody to replace them in the 2011 class until after they departed.
Each would be better fits on the other team. That 2013-14 team had no leadership and JJ would've filled that void as the alpha dog and probably averaged 23-24 ppg. He would've been the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd scoring options on that team.
Wiggins would've been a better fit on this team because he wouldn't have to be a leader and his skill set at the time would have been a great mesh for him playing in the 4 guard line up this year.
I've said this before about each guy multiple times and I really do believe each could've done amazing things if they swapped places.
@brooksmd Refs miss calls, we all know that. Refs either missed the moving screen or swallowed their whistles because Landen was still moving when Gray ran into him.
I was driving 85 down the highway the other day when the speed limit was only 70 and flew right by a cop who chose not pull me over. Was I still speeding because the cop chose not to pull me over?
@truehawk93 Watch the link @Crimsonorblue22 posted. Landen was moving when he set that screen, KU was lucky the refs swallowed their whistle there.
Landen got away with an illegal screen on that one. Fortunate not to get called there.
I hope FSU goes to the south region, they are a nightmare match up for KU.
@StLJhawk Ugly win > pretty loss a million times out of a million.
Josh Grey did not fall down on that last play, he ran into a G-D brick wall named Landen Lucas.
Helluva screen by Lucas.
Get it to Jackson and let him drive.
Another BS call
I wish Higgins was reffing this game.
Where the hell was the contact?
@RockChalkinTexas Usually whoever Svi is guarding
That should've been a no call, Stevenson was beyond out of control on that drive.
Coverage is starting on ESPNews
There's 3 guys KU can land that would give KU a realistic shot at a top 25 class, but if KU doesn't land at least 2 of them, the odds of a top 25 class are very slim. KU needs to flip CB Kelvin Joseph, needs to add WR Lawrence Keys out of New Orleans, and needs to land KC area kid Mario Goodrich. Those are the 3 most likely 4 star kids out there KU can land, but without at least 2 of them, KU will not have a top 25 class this year.
We also know KU will probably be adding some local 2 star kids in this class which will drag the rankings down because KS kids are rarely regarded very highly in recruiting so balancing out the 4 and 2 star kids will be key to keeping the ranking as high as possible.
@jayballer54 Unless KU adds a few more 4 star players, they're not finishing with a top 25 class. We have three 4 star kids signed right now, last year the highest rated class with only three 4 star kids was Colorado with the 32nd ranked class and they had two 4 star kids. KU needs to get to five or six 4 star kids to have a realistic shot at a top 25 class. KU's current class is shaping up to be similar in rankings to the 2009 class that was 33rd and had four 4 star kids in it.
This is a good class, and even if KU keeps everyone already committed, it's not likely going to finish as a top 25 class without a few more 4 star kids in it.
Realistically, what's going on right now with the early rankings is awesome and bringing positive publicity to KU football right now which will only help, but I hope everyone realizes that KU football is not going to finish with a top 5 or top 10 recruiting class this year in football. Best case scenario is that KU ends up top 25, but that's probably only if KU can flip Kelvin Joseph. Realistically, KU probably ends up with a class in the 30's which is still a huge step in the right direction for KU.
KU's recruiting classes are currently rated 4th on 247 and 5th on Rivals. http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2017/2/5/14514510/kansas-4-stars-alabama-recruiting-rankings-2018 ↗

What I don't like is how most of our 3 pt shooters don't move in for rebounds on their misses.
This is deliberate on Self's part to save the legs. He wants the team to get back on defense to prevent easy fast break points. It's the single biggest reason KU went into Rupp and beat Kentucky.
@jaybate-1.0 I don't think it's legal to allow 11-14 year olds to watch porn as a prize. Not saying junior high kids don't watch porn because I work at a junior high and some of the conversations and notes I've heard/read are truly disturbing. I'm just pretty sure it's not legal for an adult like coach Self to provide porn for kids. Also not the best PR move either, especially considering the McCarthy Hall investigation.
I like the overall premise, but maybe some other reward besides porn to go with the steak.
@stoptheflop Landen is much better at catching and not lowering the ball than he was last year. Not perfect, but improved over last year.
Landen Lucas needs to shoot more.
@globaljaybird Walton is an admitted Dead Head (Grateful Dead) so I'm going off of the stereotypes of Dead Heads.
Bill Walton is a hippie who's probably taken a lot of acid over the years and probably still smokes a lot of weed on a regular basis and fried his brain awhile ago.
