When you come to a place like KU you have to understand that you either work hard get better or you are probably not going to play. That is just how the game works. Coaches are trying to win. How do you win... You recruit the best players possible and players that fit your program.

@Kcmatt7 So you don't think Greene, Adams, Bragg, Tharpe, or Giles did anything and just got a raw deal. Give me a break. We have a open scholarship this year. If Cunliffe wanted to stay and sit on the bench he could have.

I understand how scholarships work. @BShark has Self ever "kicked a player to the curb" for no reason?

Usually when players transfer and it is the school forcing them out it is because of something they have done. It is not like Self is out here booting Graham, Wiggins, TRob, etc...

There still is no reason to raise the rate numerous times in such a short span of time.

Coaches have to deliver what they promise, but the athletes do not? This rule basically would make college sports a cluster F. I think Self has said this, but the handshake lines at games would basically turn into recruiting. I just do not see the benefit in this for the game. Nobody is making these kids go to college and play. That is their choice and they are getting to do it for free and live a better life than 99% of them will ever live.

Zeke and JRE are both visiting Arizona this weekend. I believe this is JRE last visit.

I have followed this pretty closely but I don’t recall there being a money trail proving Fenny took anything. He claims he didn’t ( obviously). To suspend him I would think they would have to have some sort of paper trail of the deposits.

His situation is totally different it seems than Billy’s. There is a trail , text messages , etc...

@Kcmatt7 I don’t. The NCAA cleared him. Worse case scenario he is ineligible this year or forever. My best guess is he is suspended for 5-9 games.

I mean what kid doesn’t want to be OAD??

Gassnola was adamant that nobody on the KU staff knew about payments.

Gassnola began making payments to Billy's Mom in the fall of 2016. 4 different wire transfers equaling $90,000.

Gassnola testified that SDS was paid $60,000 by a Maryland booster and needed to pay it back in order to go to KU. Gassnola offered $20,000 to help but said he never paid it. Did pay him $2500 on a separate issue.

Today it was shown or said that Arizona offered $150,000 for Nassir Little who then ended up at UNC. As we know this is not just a Adidas problem. Also in light of that makes Roy's comments about being dumbfounded even more laughable.

I have been saying for months that a housing crash is coming. It is pretty east to see. Housing pricing especially in the KC area are out of control. People are paying over asking price, houses are sold the same day they are put on the market, and I have even heard of people waiving the home inspection to sweeten the offer to the sellers. Obviously can't pinpoint when it is going to happen, but it is for sure happening.

Listening to the radio this morning and I guess 3-4 offensive players have "liked" the tweet of Meachum being fired.

Mitch is going to play. He is just one of those guys that does everything right and Self can trust. I have been pretty hard on Mitch, but he is gonna play.

SDS May have signed a contract with a pro team in Spain... first I’ve heard of this. I’m assuming it was before he enrolled at KU.

@mayjay With what we know today it sounds a lot worse because the first thing that will come to most peoples mind when you see "I am here to help" is $$$.

Of course every single shoe company tries to steer kids to schools they sponsor. I just have no doubt that people are going to go and run with that.

Ayton was the 5th player not Eastmond.

Today is media day for KU basketball. SDS reiterates he is going to play this year and is focused on his game and not the trial.

I understand that is what he has to say , but still worth mentioning.

@Kcmatt7 I believe he was talking about the SDS situation when referencing the April 2018 date.

Compliance officer Jeff Smith told the jury that " I didn't know anything about that" when asked about Preston receiving 90,000$.

Also added he didn't know anything about the 20,000$ for SDS. Said he ( I assume KU) learned of payment in April of 2018 and adds that KU is cooperating with prosecution.

Governments case is nonsensical

Everything I have read from today has been pretty boring. No new information really. Nothing about KU at all.

Basically just Bowen St. going over and over what he was offered and from whom.

There could have been charges but there was no probable cause.

I think it is funny that people are acting like if they were in the same position as Kanvanaugh they would just sit there and be calm. Is that the ideal situation sure. However, when people are attacking you and everything you have worked your entire life for then sometimes emotions get the best of you. That is life. As for Serena it is not remotely even close to the same situation. 99% of the people in sports agree she was getting her ass kicked and threw a tantrum. These two things are not even in the same realm of being connected. Keep reaching.
