We were wondering if the last two games by Remy were a
fluke,

Texas Southern Game Thread • Mar 18, 2022 02:36 AM

We got a little lead while they were cold.
I like the aggression on offense.

He's the make or break factor this tourney I think.

Texas Southern Game Thread • Mar 18, 2022 02:26 AM

Good defense by both squads.
We've fumbled the ball all year and survived.

Texas Southern Game Thread • Mar 18, 2022 02:21 AM

Good D

Texas Southern Game Thread • Mar 18, 2022 02:16 AM

This an opportunity bracket so if we play very well it's at least a regional final.
This team has been maddening but we seem to like every player.
An even keel team that is what John Wooden liked.

@BShark

The experts said the Hawkeyes had too much firepower for us,

KU Bracket Reveal Thread • Mar 17, 2022 10:38 PM

@jessejayhawk

Well Im'm stuck with them because of the ridiculous rule of having to pick a winner before the games start.

KU Bracket Reveal Thread • Mar 17, 2022 10:31 PM

Sooo many pundits were drooling over Iowa.. picking them over Kansas, disparaging Ochai as they picked them to go to the final four.

Not sorry.

I picked Richmond so I'm responsible for saving us? Damn!

Lol Georgia State and Gonzga was tied 50 - -50 since that time Gonzaga outscored Georgia State 43 -20

Geez. Maybe they started going inside to Timme and Chet.

Big news out of Duke...... Coach K is "going to go for it." Hmmmmm makes me wonder if any follow up questions were allowed.

KU Bracket Reveal Thread • Mar 17, 2022 02:43 PM

This is survive and advance time. (no shit Zab)?
If we go inside to Dave and he doinks a couple and we start out 1/7 on threes and we throw it to the other team just for fun a few times and Texas Southern doesn't reject our gifts it may not be a KU blowout where Connor hits another three or three. But as my 75 year old 5'6" former airborne commander neighbor says, when he takes three to get out of a sand trap and helicopters his Hogan Sure-Out in the general direction of Neptune, "I just don't give a f***."

I forgot what my point was but I hope we win. Go Hawks!

KU Buckets Bracket Challenge 2022! • Mar 16, 2022 08:37 PM

It was especially physical down the stretch as I can remember. The refs do a good job but I think they were struggling with consistency.

KU Buckets Bracket Challenge 2022! • Mar 15, 2022 11:32 PM

Something to think about. Teams that are just getting better and better prior to the NCAA tourney are a good bet to get further than you would normally think. This KU team is one of those squads. I'm trying to decide who has improved more and rounded into a game changer between JWill and Dajuan. They are both better and consistently better over the last 10 or so games. It's nice to say we can rely on them now as opposed to earlier when they were much more spotty. Dave and, gasp, Mitch have supplied inside scoring, especially lately, and that is a positive improvement. Och, our FTAA, is on an uptick because of the others becoming a problem for defenses. This leaves us with Remy and Christian. Remy is ready to break out and I'm excited to see and feel that way and he has made us better for sure. Add Christian and we have a roster full of guys who can take over and lead a run at any time. JCL is one pure ass shooter who is another weapon that has shown up more now than before. AND Yesfu, Zach, and KJ are reliable and very improved the last several games. And we have the coach who as Rick Pitino said has zero weakness in his coaching.

Ochai Agbaji • Mar 15, 2022 05:17 PM

This man came in as an eye opening athlete who didn't always seem to have basketball instincts. Please don't ask me to explain that until the third beer. To me he still seemed a diamond in the rough that the experts talked up more than I did. Then he elected to declare for the draft and decided to return and this season and wow he has hit shot after shot, played hard on defense and despite the pressure of expectations he deserved this rare honor.

Thank you Ochai you will be forever revered by the Jayhawk faithful.

KU Bracket Reveal Thread • Mar 15, 2022 04:54 PM

This period of rest may carry us to the second weekend.
Have we seen this team come out tight? We get tentative, or did, from our bench but that's just Self doubt.

I have Boise State taking out the Zags in the 2nd round in one of my brackets. I wouldn’t bet a cent that I’m right though.

I really wanted to go with that but chickened out.
Vermont over Arkansas.
So many teams that I don't know anything about (and have little desire to research).

Duke, Purdue, Kansas, Arizona.
First glance looks like KS vs WI in E8.
