I hate our lousy close outs. 5-1 again.
Hunter!
Not Hunters night. We need better than 1 - 5
This team's transfers are really lucky because at least one of them is always going to be on the floor and with the green light on. The most complete player is Rylan who shoots 35.1% on trey's, can make some steals and pass and defend. Coit brings the energy dishes the ball and shoots 39.3% from deep. Storr is running out of time to make his mark on the team but I keep seeing him do things that catch my attention like a tough rebound or a really nice move on offense to score but has that detachment and he doesn't dog it anymore. They are all in the 6 PPG area with a few instances several points higher than average. To have any real success in the afterlife we need more don't you think.
Just for fun looking at ESPN's Bracketology today we are a 7 seed in the Midwest Region. First round oppo's are effing Arkansas and then Alabama.
I have watched the Hogs play 25 or so times and the Jayhawks 25 or so times all with my trusty side kick the fair Donna in the house. She is a well connected die hard Hogger so much so several years ago during her Uncle Pete's hospice time Broyles visited. Well Uncle Pete who had never missed a home football game in 50 years had taken the young Donna, who was then a high schooler, in tow a few times and Donna knew Missus Broyles (Barb) from her job in Fayetteville. Okay the stage is set and this morning I said honey the Razorbacks and Kansas might play each other in the tournament. I can't really describe the look on her face. After a few moments she said unless you make me I'm not watching it with you. I'm thinking wow I must have super powers I didn't know about. We had fun planning alternatives like one of us would go watch it at 94 years old Ma's, aaaaaaaaah no, the bedroom banishment was a no because she said I could still hear you, I could go to a bar wearing my Kansas hoodie she said no you might get beat up. I bristled at that but I'm old and pretty unsteady and bruise easily and she said you are not going to a bar without me. I guess I'm not the only one with super powers. So she said she just might go to the casino by herself and I'm thinking about my new found super powers but testing the limits might be disappointing. In the end we will watch it at home with loaded baked potatoes from Smokin Joes.
I guess we will play Tuesday?
I think I'll pass on Cooper. AZ kept answering time after time after time but they couldn't keep it up the last three minutes. We kept on scoring when we needed it until the end. Two nice FT's by Rylan and Zeke in addition to his scoring got boards down the stretch. Thank you hunter.
Our offense is thank goodness I completed a pass to someone, anyone.
With our normal rate of turnovers we are down.
Maybe Zeke will take over. I hope. Coit? AJ?
1 turnover what?
5 point turn around.
Love shoots 36% overall and 31% from three and scores 16 a game 88% from the line.
I am looking for us to look like the better team.
3 NC = KU HD 1x2 + DH 2/5\1ab + RG 3/7fh + DIG 4/4 alt avg 2' + Z 2/5 @ logo 33' + Storr 1sq @ tz 3/lyr. Down goes Bucknell!
Three national championships Hunter 50% from deep plus Dujuan Harris 40% plus one air ball plus Rylan G 40% first half only plus Diggy 100% with average arc of 2 feet plus Zeke 40% from the logo plus AJ 100% from the twilight zone 3 light years. Thirteen treys. Next up Auburn.
73.9% = wins for teams with most threes. Stats courtesy of DOGE leader big titty.
After this season and they had eligibility left who do we have that most contending teams would covet? Hunter yes, KJ maybe, Flory probably, Dujuan maybe, Coit probably, Zeke maybe and Shak, Storr, Rylan not really. Too many opponents that look like a better team have the longer more athletic guards and forwards like, Mizzou, Arkansas, Houston, Tech, ISU and others. We just looked smaller and more disorganized against them. They also performed consistently in crunch time by getting on the boards and hitting shots. Except for KJ and Diggy we have seen others play much better and if they do we can save the season. Will it happen?
This team is cursed.
We just won't go away.
They took 17 more shots but made only three more.
I've gotta go get my Cooper Flagg doll.
Four highlights four uncalled fouls. Lol
Is it just me or is Houston getting away with murder?
We are down 15 shots?
Can we even get a shot off? Chuck em up guys.
This one was painful but not Houston painful.
F'n Zeke choke.
We need clutch performers.
two blown 1 and 1's is the difference
Hunter gets all the same shots as Toppin but he wants to shoot 50%.
Rylan has that look about him.
Hunt and Zeke with all six of our turnovers.
Hunter get your crap all in one bag and Zeke where have you gone to lately.
Down 24 points on three pointers. Hopefully will even out.
We have to play about a perfect game on offense to get 80 in a game.
Letting it slip away.
Earth to Hunter there's a game going on. Toppin best player on the floor and 27% three shooter hits against us,
Not Hunters day.
Six treys?
Tell us what you want what you really really want. I wanna see Rylan and AJ and Zeke go to the rack and finish.
Nice.
A nice rest before TTU at home to make it three wins in a row and another short turnaround game at Houston where we can avenge our most heinous loss this year. Then we beat Zona in Allen. We are 22 - 9.
Self did a great job subbing to keep guys fresh. Colorado played hard and didn't give us any clean looks from three without us hurrying or forcing them. It appears we are bad at setting picks and ball handlers steer wide so defenders are not getting scrubbed off. At times Hunter had about half our total points and rebounds. Without his nice touch on 5-7' shots which have been missing we lose. He got hacked a bunch. Didn't react but played hard. Rylan worked hard on both ends but he and AJ can't buy a layup due to what I don't know.
KJ o-7 since going 4-4
We are a bit lazy going after long rebounds.
Our fast break daddy.
Okay.
@Crimsonorblue22 said in So do we lose to Colorado?:
I don't ever miss watching a fb or bb game!
Our muse is in the house.
I have good intentions.
Someone threw out an opinion that the Utah 4700 ft and BYU 4551 ft games were significantly impacted by the altitude. Boulder is at 543o feet above sea level. Buffaloes versus Baylor +6, UCF + 11, Houston -6, ASU +5, BYU -14 (similar elevations). The NBA Denver Nuggets are tracked as having a significant home second half scoring advantage.
Just wondering if the quick turn around plus the elevation factor will show up in our energy level tomorrow.
@Crimsonorblue22 I don't know. I went to Whataburger.
