ESPN’s latest draft projections have Mccullar 16th and Furphy 29th.
Right now to me this seems high for Mccullar and low for Furphy, knowing that the NBA drafts on potential and that Kevin has been battling injuries and his shot has regressed.
I know others will say that teams game plan for Kevin, and that he still has been quite effective. I hope he does go this high.
Sucks when youve coached 350 games for teams that are rebuilding and then get kicked to the curb when they want to invest in free agents to be a contender. Could be the least representative losing record of actual coaching talent ever?
Catching the game now, listening to the world’s dumbest leprechaun
@jayballer67 ….and JMU
Loved this:
"Coach Reid actually came right up to me after that and didn't even have harsh words for me. I was ready to get a f---ing ass-chewing and for him to just tell me to 'f---ing be better,' and he just let [me] know, 'Hey man, I love your passion. I got cameras on me all over the place man, you don't want things to come off' ... and it just made me ... fired up to get a f---ing victory for him, man. Cause that's how much I love that dude, man. So Big Red, sorry if I caught you with that cheap shot, baby," he said.
We should let it breathe, as it has been said on other threads. This is the most shorthanded we may ever be.
Its hard to care about a game your players clearly would rather not play. We will be fine. Lets just leave these stupid tambourine rims in the rear view and burn the tape.
How many times are they going to rebound and dish it to an unguarded dude under the rim?
Wellp, now or never.
And he got a mccullah in
Oh jeez
Oh nm
If we could get a nice run with Dajuan off the floor it would be a positive development
@Crimsonorblue22 no, stop disrupting the “we stinks” narrative!
Alright lets win the next 4.
Ok. We just need to play 18 minutes of basketball and then we have 5 days off.
I will take any result score wise if this game unbreaks Nicks 3ball
Jason Williams is so happy to talk smack about B12. Get this Dukey out of here.
He just called Dickinson “Mickelson”?
Rims like tamborines.
I dont think we can win this.
We clearly dont want to be playing basketball.
We stinks.
Why are these rims so loud?
Fran runs like a koala bear.
@DanR Frank said he has 6 more years of being an overseas pro first…
My oldest whom i coach played against a team yesterday who had a player foul out in 19 minutes. I think his primary sport must be lacrosse or football. He was checking people all over the place.
Smoove EJ
Just got here. Timberlake start?
@BeddieKU23 why not jamari?
Niners made of glass? Crazy injuries
Last night we saw a couple good possessions by Nick followed by about 4 bad ones.
Nick is worried too much about offense. Yes, hitting a catch and shoot open 3 was important, and jumping a passing lane then flushing the transition dunk was even better, but the best thing he did there was jumping the passing lane.
That was the moment in those possessions when he was able to see the future and insert himself. That is where his head needs to be.
The last two possessions when he completely lost his man are not acceptable. He didnt belong in the lane when his man was open for the baseline 3. And he didnt pick up wide open shooter in front of him last possession. He wasnt anticipating, he was seconds behind the play.
How can he get his head out of his past? He needs to forget about offense when we dont have the ball. A tale of 2 Nicks. Let the chips fall as the may on the offensive end but do not suck on D.
Given that:
* this roster is thin and absolutely needs bench production in March
* Nick Timberlake is an experienced upperclassman who is the logical candidate to have the composure and acumen necessary to be that spark
* we have seen flashes of it from him….
I am starting this thread, not to bury Nick but to praise him… and to try to crack the code.
So put your tin foil hats on, stick in your newest pair of double a batteries, close your eyes and send positive collective thoughts Nick’s way with me.
@BeddieKU23 youve put it as nicely as possible.
Juan had an alley-oop and two steals and Remy saved the day while we ate potato chips.
@wissox Wilt, bit of an outlier ;)
Bump. This got filtered eroneously.
I thought Juan would carry us to victory down the stretch. It felt that way. He did well and was confident , did not shy away from making big plays.
@bskeet year 2 of Furphy Mania could
Be Full Tilt $$$
Wonder how Furphy’s acting chops are?
2 days after last game against a top ten team and riding the starters into OT in the Octotang of Dumb…. Classic Bill! Combat training.
@kjayhawks sure sure, i lighten my mood by virtue signaling about our teams heart. We all have our healing rituals
@kjayhawks said in KU vs Octagon of Tang Doom Game Chat.:
Kevin had to have help getting on the bus after missing it 17 times in a row. Lol
brutal, lol
I thought this was a post about the state of his knees, then it took a turn.
Alright be good kids, gonna sleep it off.
Now jealously for KSUs guards? Wow
@jayballer67 I expect to root for the guys we have, not the guys we wish we had.
I save my wishes for the offseason.
Kev had a game but ran out of gas.
Lol. All the pearl clutching.
Learn from it and move on
Lots of teams would have packed up shop and given up,
But here we are!
Damn proud of our guys. Working
There is not enough evidence there
