We just seemed to me to run very little actual offense. Now. Whether that was because of osu's defense or if that was perhaps just some early season stategy by our savvy sly head coach. I cannot say for certain

Ive read just about everyone here at different times over the years. From that I surmise this. If there are arguements they atleast have insight and validity behind them rather than mindless squabbling. Haha
Those debates used to happen there before the change as well as i recall.

After saturday I wonder if we see more minutes of a lineup with Cliff and Mari inside. With Ellis still in the game. KO and Mason. Then subbing Graham and Selden for those. Perhaps not against okie state. But a longer taller team I think it could be effective. This would be short minutes. Not gonna want to risk foul trouble with the big guys. I think the more Ellis hits from outside, the more defenses will start to key on him for that. Which should open up passing/driving lanes to the hoop. Its really how Ellis can get us more points in the paint even if he doesnt score them. I could see Self going to this maybe 4 or 5 possessions per half when we really need a few buckets and arent rebounding well.

My kids are playing basketball right now. One Jr high, one High school. Cant recall which one was playing the other night. Doesnt matter. The point is.... There was an official that looked and ran like Beldar Conehead(Dan Akroyd) from Coneheads. If ya can picture that. I couldnt take the guy seriously... One of the funniest things ive seen

No i dont necessarily mean that. But yes, it is one of the possible reasons for playing poorly. Of course there are many other reasons. Playing thru an illness, or injury, or just plain having a bad night...etc. You arent being an @$$ and im not trying to be either. Perhaps its my wording in this case... Maybe it was more of a lack of what i would call a "sense of urgency" or "sense of purpose" about winning the game/advancing. I felt those 2 had it when others didnt that particular night. On the season... Different story. As you said Conner didnt show that every night. Maybe nobody does everynight. I suppose thats very possible. Maybe its really just about getting enough of the guys to have it on a night when things arent going great. Or, perhaps could be that im completely full of it... I mean they werent front row seats or anything like that. :)
Im sure nobody wants to hear it. But from my seat in the edward jones dome last march. There were two guys that looked like they cared about beating stanford. Black and Frankamp. Who are now both gone.
