MSU's offense was terrible. The ball movement was slow and the ball stuck. It was nice to see Malik able to make shots off of a screen though.

Philadelphia had a policy that they wanted paid on since Embiid didn't play a lick his first two seasons. He was paid $9 million for his services. They wanted recouped, but it didn't happen for them either.
Insurance rarely leaves you feeling properly compensated in my opinion.
What's more interesting about this particular report is a nugget explaining how Embiid has a personal insurance policy that he signed while still at Kansas. In the unlikely event he decides to give up basketball entirely by November, he'll be paid $5 million tax-free. Or, if the injuries continue to prevent him from playing at least 20 NBA games in total throughout his career, he can also collect on this particular policy.
@Crimsonorblue22 He was insured for loss of income. It's not like a civil suit. The policies are weird and I dont' know all the details.
@Crimsonorblue22 I don't recall, but I doubt it since he was drafted 3rd and didn't miss out on any money.
Self said KU paid for policies on both Embiid and Wiggins. I wouldn't doubt there already was one in place for Josh, but I haven't heard one way or the other.

@Kcmatt7 Rush couldn't use his left either. Or so he was told so he used it too often. I hope we don't see this type of overcorrection to this criticism. I think his draft stock is low enough that it won't be a mild distraction like it was with Rush.

@jayballer54 It'll be ok. I know it's easier said than done, but try to ignore and move on. If you know you will never see eye to eye it may be best to try to take the high road and just skip some posts. I too can get my feathers ruffled over certain posters. I try like heck not to respond, but from time to time I cave.
It's difficult for me to convey my exact meaning in print. From time to time I come off waaay more abrasive than I intended, sometimes my meaning is completely lost due to my inadequate writing skills. And sometimes I find myself defending a position simply because I don't like the other arguments presentation- not the principles being argued. I try to get better every day, but some days the patience/understanding isn't there so I do something else until I'm ready to try again.
People's opinion of Josh are widely varied. Very few think he is anything but a great basketball player. His jumper is his main flaw on the court. His problems are mostly off the court.
He is a young MAN who made some bad decisions. Therefore he must be held accountable for his actions. The LPD and KUathletics departments are handling this and he will be held resposible.
The main issue for fans is how horribly it reflects upon the university. I've heard life long Jayhawk fans say he should be kicked off the team. He would've kicked his own boy off the team so I have no doubt he was serious.
The main issue for Josh is he needs to figure out how to control his emotions before he causes himself or someone else serious harm. What if in a fit of rage he had a weapon other than his extremely athletic 6' 7" body? What if he was driving? What if it had been a guy? Would he have stopped?
Unfortunately Josh put us in a bad situation. We should never have to wonder if the players are out of control, or if the punishment fits the actions.
Thankfully no one was hurt and nothing was damaged that can't be fixed.
This is extremely polarizing. Some are ready to give a free pass. Some want to hang the kid. I would like to see genuine remorse for his actions. I don't care about any punishment that is handed down as long as Josh has learned his lesson and becomes a better man for it.
@Crimsonorblue22 And among those consequences should be 2 hours of community service per week to be performed in Lawrence 30 minutes a day 4 days a week for the next 50 weeks...

I'm more impressed with production than potential. Particularly if you are talking NBA protential. Sounds like Tilmon may be the better option in year 2, but year one Juiston motor and maturity may give him the edge?
@BShark I think you can add Rio Adams and Milton Doyle to that list. They didn't last long either, but I still see sign's of Adams impact on our program from time to time.

I'm excited about the Lawson's, but why was Memphis so bad? Their shooting percentages will surely go up under Bill with a supporting cast that is far superior to what they had, right? Was Memphis' problems guard play or coaching or what? Seems like the brothers carried a large portion of the load. Can they be more efficient when not leaned upon so heavily?

@Crimsonorblue22 the only quick fix I see is for you to pick up a keyboard for your ipad ($30-150 at walmart) I recommend the Zaggs keyfolio rugged, the hinge breaks on the regular model in about a year if you use it extensively. Otherwise it sounds like patience is your friend.
If I figure out a trick in the meantime I'll let you know.

The text box pulls up like normal, but when you click on it this is what happens. If you don't have an external keyboard you can't jump back to the top. (At least I haven't figured out how yet) If you scroll back to the top when you stop scrolling it jumps back out of sight.
@approxinfinity hopefully you can fix this easily/quickly I think we're missing out on posts due to this issue. @Crimsonorblue is having a very difficult time posting and we need her!
@approxinfinity I used to have something similar happen with chats before the upgrade, but now they work properly. Yea!!

@approxinfinity On safari every time I hit reply the imput box jumps off the top of the screen. If I type a letter or two and hit the directional key it jumps back up to where you are typing. Otherwise you can't see anything and if you scroll whatever you typed never appears. Very inconvient, but I've figured out a way to make it work.
@Crimsonorblue22 Hit the directional keys on your keyboard. Push the right arrow then the left arrrow. For some reason that takes me up to where I'm typing instead of typing blind.

UNC's players committed academic fraud and were caught red handed. Here it is years later and still no penalty. They should have been banned from the NCAA tournament the last two years as it is for student athletes in good standing. Instead they are in the title game.
I really hope a good journalist gives the NCAA two black eyes for this one.
