Me too buddy. - -I was talking with some friends , and they were trying to figure how the roster was going to shake out next year , like possibly Mitch red shirting and ya da ya da ya da - -ya know? - We got to talking about who might and who might not be back - -and with the way the depth is going to be , kind of agreed that Sam might get buried - -again not really see very few minutes . - - - Sometimes hard to transfer twice -- -seems like a really good kid to me it's just the depth at his spot - -he isn't taking anyone's spot/starting for sure right?

I mean he playin in the back court role -well look at the possibilities there if that's where he is at. - -you look , you gonna have Moore , Dotson at the #1 - - You got Grimes and Garrett at the # 2 right? - -I seriously don't believe - -well he is not going to play the point for sure so that leaves the # 2 and I think really good chance Grimes has that locked with Garrett relieving him some there.

Then if you go to the # 3 - -We land Langford - - then you would have Langford and a Lawson there whichever the one that would play the 3 KJ? - -is he the one cause doesn't Dedric play the 4? - - and if Vick comes back then it's Vick & the Lawson so can't really see him breaking through there either. - just a bad situation for him so if there are any transfers looks like he would probably be the most likely to me anyways. They will learn - - might be costly mistakes BUT they will learn. I Think this year more so then ever , we have really struggled at home. - Part of it might be pressure from wanting to keep Phog a nightmare for others & part this year is just quite frankly just bottom lined not as talented. - -Still talented but just not up to previous years

I think with this years team, - -other teams don't feel quite as intimidated for what ever reason , possibly because how they have seen other teams play us in the Phog this year, feeling we are more - - - - then other years. - -Still good in the Phog, - Yet I think in previous years - -Arizona St would never of beat us like they did - - -Baylor wouldn't of played us like they did. - -We just struggle this year. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Well, for you one's that think it's me - - I have a woody for Trae , how I have a personal vendetta against Young, not sure if you watched or have been listening to sports figures , former players - analysts - -writers even OU fans on message boards ? -They tearing his ass up. As I mentioned Trae young plays terrible defense if any for 3/4 of the game. - Jay Williams and Seth both giving an example asking what the hell was he doing when OSU was down by 3 in the final seconds and allowing the OSU player to drive right down the side of the court and offered little resisitence flipping an arm as he put up the tying three point shot - -uncontested no defense at all, they gave multiple examples of what he could/should of done.

Before you want to try and justify his shots and play talk about he has no help - - ya he doesn't maybe BUT like they showed on multiple possessions you just have Trae dribbling with the ball and FOUR players just standing around doing nothing watching Trae and waiting to basically rebound NO OFFENSE at all, and then when he HE DOES pass the ball they aren't ready cause biggest majority he is one on one and jacks up shots.

Seth says at some point their going to quit rebounding the ball, there is going to start having decension on the team - -Jay Williams saying that they have to get this fixed with Tare.

14-39 - -8-20 from the arc and no one else o the team made more then THREE shots no one more scored more then 8 points.

Tell you for sure , I too have thought about all the crazy talent we are going to have NEXT year , going to be crazy. I also have to try and temper my expectations for next year at the same time. - Let me try and lay it out as best as I can try to explain my reasonings.

First as we have talked about and there are others that feel # 1 - just don't see any way Newman comes back, he is I know and fully acknowledge that no way is he NBA caliber player , BUT he will take his skills what he has a go over sea's I think everyone pretty well knew that he was just here for the year after his transition year. # 2 Vick is gone , even if he continues excluding these last three games even if he comes out of this mini funk I truly think he declares , he has shown on some NBA boards already late 1st early 2nd - - I think he is the only one at this point , I just don't think he is coming back. We are going to be crowded the way it is - - - If Vick goes, chances really good Romeo comes # 3 - -Doke - - -Doke isn't ready - - yet. Doke is probably the biggest question at this point - -I think he is 50/50 at this point - -we all know the NBA drafts off potential - with his physical size they always look for big men , I've said before I think Coach Self recruited McCormack & De Sousa from the train of thought Doke would not be back - -probably threw that sales pitch to them telling them Doke was going to be gone, if not might of been a little harder to get them to come.

Then we get to the player we know will be here. -Very talented, scary good BUT we have the Lawsons really good players, were just going to have to see how they will adjust to a step up bigger Conference - -harder competition - -they have sit for a year - same with Moore - -ya he started at Cal - -still stepping up a bit at KU competition a little better see how he plays out.

Garrett should be fine - will never be a monster or even one of our top options because of his scoring limitations - -ugly shot. - - Cunliffe? - -Are we sure Cunliffe going to stick it out? - I could possibly se another transfer out of him considering the depth next year. -Again good role player but not ever going to be a stud while here I don't think.

Then we come to our babies - our Mickey D's - - -Grimes - -Dotson -- -McCormack - - love these guys - -it's not going to take long BUT the thing is no matter how good they are , they a Freshman , it's going to take time - -we are going to be in at least a smaller version of what Kentucky goes through with the talent they get every year, - look at this year - really good players - you can see them coming along - but I hop and I'm afraid we might have expectations a smidge high from the beginning with the guys. - -I know the 40-0 was a joke not being serious or at least I would hope it was.

So when Coach Roberts went and seen him , said he seen enough to have him come to Lawrence last Saturday , came with his parents Coach talked to him a bit 6'5 - 6'5 1/2 - -SF - -SG .

Ha been drawing interest from: UMKC - - Colorado State - - -Air Force - - Fresno State. - -really coming on averaging 27 ppg & 9 rpg per game - -now drawing interest from Northern Iowa - -Bradley - -Oklahoma State - -& KU

I'd pick him up right at half court and play him REALLY physical from there. force him to do one of two things. Either drive or pass. But he is not going to beat me by shooting the three ball. If they try to shake him loose with a high ball screen, I would hedge extremely hard with Doke/Mitch/De Sousa and let my defender be able to go over the top of the screen to prevent an easy 3.

The one thing I'd really make sure I did is put in a play where we post him up. Either with Vick, Garrett or Svi. But I would love to see an isolation where we force him to defend in the paint. at 170 lbs, he is either going to get warn down or foul. Sometimes good offense can be your best defense.

Sounds good but you can take it to the bank he isn't going to foul. - he will let you go first, won't begin to contest especially in the 1st half. I don't know if it is Kruger or him or a combo of both - but he is not risking getting in foul trouble to where he has to sit. I've seen him to many times just totally back away -- wave an arm as you blow by him - and jog down the court on defense in the 1st half.

Could be coach tells him not to worry concentrate on the offensive end don't know - -but he isn't going t be in foul trouble - he just won't allow that to happen. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
