Now guys I don't know if we wanna try this kid again. Local kid for me from Topeka, KU had offered I believe as a WR - he wanted RB and committed to New Mexico State I think - -well now de-committed. His High School FINALLY won games this yr, Highland Park they are 2-0 this Season hadn't won a game for years & Years before this anyways some stats from last Friday :

Not sure if we gonna even waste time with him again , still think if we do it's still gonna be as WR , good talet , some eye popping numbers - - BUT just not sure

Pretty simple question guys. Am I just totally nuts , fell off the deep end in thinking that we have a legit shot of beating Houston this weekend ? Yes I know we a 10 point underdog and we playing at Houston, BUT I just feel in my gut we actually have a legit shot to pick up the W. True our defense has to get better - - A LOT better but as their own fans have said their offense has been so so at best & their own fans pointed out how they have been having HUGE holes in the middle part of their field which is like they said exactly been the strong point for KU this Season so far , attacking the middle of the field.

So tell me am I nuts ? - -you think we got a shot or not ? - I dunno maybe my glasses are just to Crimson and Blue , it's only two games in the Season and one was trash team. Yet multiple years back even with Tenn Tech we would of struggled beating them , Several years ago if we would of fell behind like we did against WV , it would of been game over period. -- Let me know we got a shot ?

Again have to say not that concerned I think Lance is probably 3rd or 4th in line. Seeing Campbell has come and said he would be interested in the Job according to a CBS rumor, and especially since Nebraska saying they would like to have the Coach in time for the Early Signing period in December. That's not entirely impossible bud. - -I realize it was an FCS School we played last week , but teams past would of struggled with that team, last week KU did what that should of done by dominating them. If the 1st team would of stay in the entire game don't believe they would of scored their Touchdown. - -Very easily could of been 56-3.

I think people are under estimating KU some, no I'm not saying contending for titles but I will say this, this could be a 4 win team this year maybe 5 - -Tenn Tech , West Virginia , Texas Tech isn't world beaters . Duke , & eithre TCU and even Iowa State are not out of the question. - -A few breaks go our way in these games. Not saying IT WILL but I'm saying I think we have a shot.

Here is what I think it boils down to, - -I think it hinges on how well our O-Line stands up against WV D-Line, can we control the line , make some holes for our stable of running backs to run through ? - -Can we protect Jalen against their rush ? - Prevent the sacks ? - I think this game is decided by as I heard them called in some pro games - -can the hogs when the war? - -The Big boys. - -

There are some WV fans that think it is going to be a good game , then you have others that think it's a walk for them. - - I've seen scores of 52-13 - - -48 -12 - I'm here to tell you If that turns out to be the case then NOTHING PERIOD went right for the Hawks. -Yete I'm here to tell you THAT'S not happening.

OK so my prediction , how this turns out - -I think our boys well give them a true test, but I think we come up short, but seeing that progress. My guess is West Virginia - -34 - - -KU- - 28

Well our new commish was in our future team Cincinnati today and said he was looking to expand from teams to the West , saying was looking to get in to all time zones , looking for teams that are established in Football and Basketball both .Still think in the end Arizona & Utah are almost sure things to join - -not sure if wwe take Colorado &Arizona State or not. - Have been hearing quite a bit about San Diego State too. Time will tell

I know it was a FCS team but little fun stat. KU was only 1 of two Schools in the Nation that averaged over 10 yards per atempt against Tennessee Teh Friday. - We need more plays only 49 but I guess when you scored that quickly is some of the reason for that

Loved the North Carolina / App St game , dang App St QB was 25/26 I think passing for I think 301 yards , QB missed wide open guy for two point conversion , it was crazy 63/61

Well not sure about anyone else , but I am looking forward to this weekend. I think will give us a better idea on how we are progressing , taking nothing away from the last game just not a true feel for exactly how much we have improved. Don't get me wrong you can tell we have for sure improved , think we are more athletic - - quicker - - more aggressive. I really want to focus on the defense, see how our progression is doing.

Actually more interested on that side of the ball , looks like Phelps is gonna be a bonus for us /legit yet again we shall get more of a true answer Saturday. West Virginia has a pretty stout D-Line, will be interesting how we can move the ball on the ground against their D-Line , might be fun. Jalen looks good handled the team well. Thing that I was impressed with was the mechanics, pretty clean game when the starters were in. Most mistakes came with the reserves

We have improved guys can't be denied that, It will be good to see us be competitive against WV there is a lot of people expecting to be including WV people. Another thing I noticed , for the 1st game of the year e really played clean. - -For the first three qtrs I'm not sure if we had ANY penalties, if any - not many. - OL was focus , on defense 5 sacks - -I think at one point we had 11 TFL'S - -think we may of ended up with more - -dam I'm not sure if we had that many TFL'S the entire season last year. - True not a P-5 but havin said that , just looks like a more athletic , aggressive , quicker team. - - Houston didn't look that impressive , hope we can give them a game. -- WV - -Texas Tech Even Iowa St might be interesting

like they were talking on the radio. for over 3 quarters they were doing things we hadn't done in the past , things like not having to call a time out because of dis organization - - having to call a time out because of 21 men on the field - -to many penalities , sloppy play. Our O line is really going to have to hold up. I think WV had 5-6 sacks last night pretty dam solid /aggressive. All I heard was about Pitt's and their pressure which they di have - -WV QB Daniels took some shots , Donaldson is scary dam, was hoping they wouldn't show quite lie they did. - -Pitt was ranked 17th, WV gonna be hot after coming so close. - -we need to control the clock , make good use of all our backs

West Virginia Defense looks pretty stout against the 17th ranked team in the Nation so far

Sic-em 365 sports talk has had several different people on , former CEO of Fox sports was on I can't name them all and the main thought is that yes the 4 corner Schools will be members of the Big 12 when it's all said and done. - -With the Big 12 now in what they called accelerated talks , the thought is that what our commish name ? - Yomark ? the thought is that the BIG 12 is wanting to get projected numbers that they can give to members of the BIG 12 to let them see what w be getting before any schools think about leaving - - and being able to give these numbers out to potential expansion members would have projected what their numbers would be

Could be huge possibly for the Big 12 and possible expansion with them starting talks with FOX & ESPN. - -with them opening up and they can get projected numbers or better idea of what each team would be receivng. - The PAC 12 had been using that as an edge over the BIG 12 , I think the PAC 12 is toast actually

Been seeing A LOT of rumor off multiple boards about expansion for Big 12. Read off Texas Tech - - - Baylor - - Arizona - - & others. -Jason Scheer who covers Arizona sports reported that Arizona turned down a 27 million dollar offer by the conference & saying Colorado is expecting the same offer - un equal distribution going on in the PAC 12.

Rumors abound that Arizona & Colorado will accept Big 12 invite within the next 30-45 days .Also seen quite an interview with Mike Gundy talking about our new Commish and talking about how impressed he was with him & Gundy saying we haven't heard much in the last month about the expansion/ things quiet - - -And he says that means things going on.

I didn't realize we had offered invittes to those Schools , but who really knows what's going on behind the scenes

Well it's a good start to the sporting Season for our Lady JayHawks. - - Our Womens Soccer team is now 3 - 1 after beating Drake today & next up is Purdue.

Then we have our Volleyball team thats 3 - 0 -winning the Utah Tourney and ranked 23rd at the present, probably move up some after beating # 22 Utah on their home floor. GREAT start for our Ladies

Man got to say the first two matches was rough. Our ladies was just flat getting out played , kind of sloppy, and YET Loyola couldn't close our Ladies out, we ended up winning 1st set 28 /26. - -I could of swore 2nd set was for sure going to even the match Loyola was up like 6 late - - & our Ladies just didn't give up kept fighting--- end up winning 30/ 28 - - I think the 2nd set just broke Loyola's spirit, KU dominated 3 set 25 /12 -won the Match 3 - 0 Swept them. -still have just lost one sets out of 10

The Ladies had 52 kills - - - one good thing only 5 Service errors Loyola 10 . - - -another place we got to get better is we had 16 Attack errors

So we are now 3 -0 & get after it again this coming Friday - Another tourney on the road. - -Lauren Dooley our 6'6 grad transfer had a monster Match -- she had a 76 % hitting percentage and haad 13 kills -Great day for Lauren. - Let's go Ladies
