Well College sports as we know it about to change. With this new deal where Schools all looking like they will have to budget twenty Million as they start having to pay Athletes money, pretty much everything changes- - - lot's of questions still to be answered - -Like Girod said KU doesn't have twenty Million laying around, neither do many others.
College Athletes now going to be getting paid. Like I saw on Big twelve insider's today , Athletes now like becoming employees, What do employees want?- -One is representation. , you could see Union for these kids, they are going to want bigger piece of revenue , right now the Pro sport teams get right at 50 % - -College is at like they said 23 %
Talking about how the NCAA is going to have to lower the floor , your going to see Colleges have to start making cuts to sport programs, non money making sports like Swimming , Men & women's Golf possibly and other non revenue sports it now becomes how many sports going have to be cut probably. NCAA vey well might have to cut back from 16 sports for schools to retain their current status to like ten - -Revenue sports like Football - - -Basketball - - -Volleyball possibly being sports retained, this is where your Schools quite possibly start to break away from the NCAA , Schools just don't have that extra money.
Recruiting budgets could be cut back , going to just be another case of SOME Schools that do have the money going to distance them selves even further from the rest of College Sports -- Alot of Schools won't have the or as much NIL luxury. The question now becomes also, what changes are they going to quite possibly have to make with Coach Salaries, especially head Coach's ? - What about Coaching staffs ? - You got fie Coach's on your Staff are you going to have to cut bac kto Four ? -- Three This would just put almost double the weight on remaining Staff. - Other questions still to be answered , This thing is just getting started.?.

Podcast today somethings brought out in reasoning why Swanky and SEC would possibly add KU. Bottom line is -KU makes money. The host brought up this : that over the span from 2003-2022 Ku generated 1.9 Billion in revenue, and that with a football program that maybe had what 3 good teams in football ? that figure put them right behind the likes of Nebraska- -Kentucky - -South Carolina - -& Arkansas -and put them in the top 25 over that span in Revenue. -- -Swanky & the SEC see's that and thinking Hummm a School that makes money and we can steal a top brand in Basketball.
What's the SEC looking for that helps the Conference if they expand ? -- they are looking for new market, which KU could give them , puts them closer to Omaha and Baseball/SEC big in Baseball ,- -New Footprint--( KU ) and big Brand.
During this time frame KU made from 2003-2022 KU made more revenue then these Schools: - -Washington - --Michigan Stat - -UCLA -- Virginia - --Clemson - --N Carolina -- Oregon---& Miami - -pretty impressive list. - -KU ranked 23rd in the Nation during this time frame.- -Easy to see why they could very easily get the invite.
If the SEC does expand and KU does get the invite to join. It would just be a HUGE mistake not to go. --KU would be getting more stability, just not sure even the big 12. Teams going to start getting Poached from the BIG & SEC , so more stability AND a MUCH bigger pay out of revenue to the estimate of around 35/40 Million a year, and that is what it's all about - -it's all about the Money these days.

Word I've been hearing that there are School Admin's pushing for KU to get the invite to the SEC. Schools such as Texas , Texas A& M---& Missouri, all pushing for KU to be number 20.
Talking about how KU has always gotten along with these programs ( Mizzo ) ?- but what is going around.
Talking about Ku /MU game would add value you to the SEC SEC looking for things such as Virgin Ground, that would be N Carol & Clemson - - Big Research Universities , & Big Brand Basketball- -umm Hello -- KU.
Another thing being mentioned was people need to understand/realize that Realignment is all about Money. KU was the # 7 revenue producer in the Nation last year and top 25 over a 25 year span. - Also Ku being AAU School being real rivalries in the SEC & B-Ball blue blood

A lot depends on whether or not the SEC expands to 20 teams or not. Which like they feel they will have to do in order to keep up with the BIG , the BIG looks to expand even further. If they do then the SEC feels it has to expand to keep pace.
Also depends if Swankey the SEC Commissioner feels/ believes Basketball will jump in Value, gain more value they would want to expand coverage more ground. - -The SEC expands with N Carolina, Virginia , Virginia Tech & quite possibly KU. Remember when in football recruiting not that long ago the football staff could hardly get a three star player little lone a four star to return phone calls or allow KU to come in on a home visit and campus visits were a joke ? Remember when some people got asked who they pulled for in College football, the response would always be - -Well I'm a huge KU fan in Basketball but ummm football ? - Well - - -Things have changed/changing.
People use to complain about the quality of players we got - -now that we are getting 3 star and some 4 star - -people still complaining, why aren't/can't we get 5 star players. - You had people complain about the Booth , So what we do? - -the renovation of the Booth taking place, people now complaining about the cost - -the reduction in seating. - -Answer to that - -Upgrades take money, Booth is getting huge upgrade. - Have these people complaining have they or are they donating to the fund to help renovate the Booth ? As far as seating - a lot of Stadiums are being reduced capacity . -you want the chance for more seating then show up - - fill the stadium -EVERY WEEK without being coaxed to do so. As far as dropping the program some wanted not that long ago - - You won't be hearing those people complain about dropping program now.

My question to all these things is why ? - -Why are some never satisfied ? - -Always got to complain - -always got to bitch about something - - -anything. My question is, are you THAT miserable ? -Why can't you just sit back and enjoy the read ? - -why can't you appreciate Coach L's dedication , hard work ? - -why can't you see and appreciate this squads turnaround ? Why can't you appreciate their work ?- I'll say this - This KU football team IS NOT the joke of College football now Picked by many to challenge for Conference Championship THIS YR. Ranked in top 25 by many in pre-season polls. - -I guess some can eve just be happy/grateful of what's coming , enjoy the ride, some just are flat miserable chronic whiners - -I for one am prod to say " YES " I am a football fan of the University of Kansas- - - -ROCK HALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
Wow, hadn't seen this , might be old news but I just saw kind of caught me off Guard. - Ol Coach Tang just took another hit lol. -Dau - -Dai Ames entered the portal. Surprising as he was one of their few bright spots towards the latter third of the Season. Worked his way in Starting role - -BUT he is now out.

You should of figured- - that was coming. I had heard some thought he verbaled the weekend he was here .If IF he did, that's quite a bit to ask this far in advance unless he is just overwhelmed and in total aww with the School.
That's a long time for a kid especially a kid of that stature/ ranking to stay loyal to a school.-Especially verbal's aren't squat. You know these other Schools are going to stay on him , and stay on him hard.
I can't blame the kid for taking aas many visits as they allow -- use to be five, I think that may have changed now. I'm not going to be a hater if he goes elsewhere---good luck----I'm not saying you would be , but just saying.--Yeet my advice to those people who will, --simple message don't hate the player----hate the game. - -kid has the right to change his mind on commit and being this far in advance, you can almost take it to the bank--- that's happening.--I seriously doubt he ends up here.--BUT wee going to be fine
