The chances of getting hurt in his rookie year are irrelevant. Getting hurt as a KU soph could destroy his career. Not gonna deny, but love hearing other commentators talking about KU. - Was watching VCU & Richmond and they said KU was so dangerous naming off our players and talking about how we could absolutely win Back to Back. - -would be so SWEET if that turned out - -I know it's a crap shoot come tourney time - -so many factors such what bracket your in , certain matchups , how your playing at the end of the year - -but man how sweet would that be

Lots of discussion in here about the lack of bench minutes in games. I think @Texas-Hawk-10 believed/believes our bench needs more PT. So do I. But I also understood why Self pushed his main 5 so hard... so they would gel into something special.

Hard to blame bench when they don't get minutes to grow into roles.

I feel like we are peaking at the right time... Still some games to lift up even higher.

Still wish we would get more out of our bench. Not sure about Rice. I know injuries hampered him this year. He shows very short sparks of hope. He definitely has some strength behind him which has been shown when he fights opponents for the ball on rebounds and loose balls. But he still seems out of rhythm out there and I think he just needs more PT to establish his game.

Ernest is becoming a beast! His arms are long and his hands are quick and strong... and his mind sees things and anticipates. It wouldn't surprise me if he saved us from a loss moving forward this year! Love how he changes the game when replacing KJ.

I think our guys now realize the way to change a game positively is to focus hardest on defense and then our defense will help our offense... specifically on run outs. Rebounding is important, too, and I just lump that into our defense because we don't have defensive success without getting stops.

Heard some stats on Udeh - - - - in the 22 games Udeh has play he has 14 blocks ( which when you consider the first few games he played in wasn't very many minutes ) - - -so 14 blocks is pretty good. - -Think about this I've heard both - -Heard Udeh has a 7'4 wingspan - -then I heard that he has a 7'2 wispan either way that's monster wing span. They put in perspective today saying look at it this way Shaq is 7'2 - so his wingspan is as wide aas Suaq tall ---- crazy. - Then the other stat that is pretty dam good for a big man in his 22 games he has 17 steals is what they said - -crazy good

Mercy let me say I read this from the West Virginia Board. - Yet being said that Gonzaga will be paired with a EASTERN SCHOOL in discussions with the Big 12 on March 7th -about joining the Big 12 as a Basketball only member. -That is insane --

People guessing who that Eastern Basketball team is gonna be - - U Conn ? - - - Xavier - - -Villanova being mentioned .

I do think they get this done for Cam and he transfers somewhere to actually play next year.

I'll wait to see the final roster but I think they will grab a scorer for the starting 4 spot in the portal. Zach and Joe are guys I could definitely see leaving as well. MJ it would be foolish not to think he could, but word has been positive regarding him sticking around. Idk if it's fluff or not. I do think Zuby will at least stick it out for one more year but we will see there. As much as Self would love McCullar back I think we only get one year based on recent hearings.

Don't think you can start Adams next to Udeh but if anyone would do it, it's Self.

I didn't mention on my reply but I too think Kevin is gone after this year - love his defense - kind 50/50 on rather I'd have him stay or let him go after the year - -if he did come back no problem for me , pretty decent rebounder and his defense is really good but offensively w might be better elsewhere.

Cam Martin is the only player KU is losing based on eligibility as he is a super senior. Everyone else is eligible to return based solely on eligibility. With the incoming class a d loss of a scholarship, 4 players minimum will be leaving the program. We know Martin, Wilson, and Dick will be 3 of them. Cuffe seems like a strong candidate to transfer as does Zach Clemence at this point.

MJ Rice and Zuby will be interesting to keep and eye on as well. Will Rice be a Quentin Grimes situation of needing a fresh start elsewhere and if KJ Adams stays as the 5 long term for KU, combined with Udeh's development, does Zuby stay around as the third 5 when he's good enough to get big minutes at other P5 schools?

Also, with the recruits coming in, do Yesufu and Pettiford both stay? I could easily see one of those two transferring out as well. Pettiford has had injury issues each season and is a below average offensive player and Yesufu is a below average shooter who's never met a shot he didn't like which isn't a great combination. So do one of those two end up leaving as well with Jackson and Chris Johnson coming in likely both ready to play from day 1.

The scariest thing about next year for KU fans is going to be scoring. I could realistically see a starting 5 of Harris, Jackson, McCullar, Adams, amd Udeh which is it happened isn't scoring a lot of points. Scoring is absolutely going to be the biggest hole on this team next and needs to be the absolute top priority for Self this off-season amd hope it works out better than Remy did for 75% of the season. If not, this team could easily end up bottom half of the B12 next season.

Agree think Cam is gone , really nothing shocking there I think between Joe & Bobby I think my gut leans more to Joe leaving then Bobby , I think Bobby just kinda toughs it out and takes any minutes he gets. -I dunno also I think you could very well be right , the question is which one - -between Zach & Zuby - -for some reason again I feel I lean more to Zach then Zuby - -I've just had this sense that Zach will transfer out looking for more minutes , of course same could be said for Zuby and yet I think he sticks at least for possibly one more year if nothing else to see how things play out. The kid does have some talent , hustles really well I just don't know. Yet I just think Zach is gone. -As far as the possibility of MJ - Good chance he leaves too. I just don't think he has the patience to wait for playing time , or the discipline I think he is a kid where he was THE STAR and has had a hard time finding his role here and accepting the idea if you are not willing to play D your not going to get a lot of minutes. - -Yet maybe a 50/50 just not sure

True , but also I mean only logical if he came back now and even did play just really a wasted year of eligibility, but with Jackson coming in plus others we have probably just not gonna work out. - -To bad too I really liked the kid, think he has some skills just the wrong place -wrong time as it turned out I reckon

Would I love to see Gradey come back? Absolutely, but it isn't going to happen and it would be foolish of Dick to come. The reasons to go far, far outweigh the reasons to return.

As fast as he is improving... he could be a for sure Top 5 pick next year. So he's a year later but his $$$ starts much higher.

Well seeing that would cause one to defend Tech a little bit. I mean that list there and their projected seeds in the tourney and yet Tech ha more quad 1 wins then any of those listed. Sure they have had some bad Non Con losses but put the teams that's listed there and their projected seeds & put them into the toughest Conference in the Nation- - what would their records be?

Stop and think about it just absorb how far we have come with this Current Coaching staff I mean come on two-three years ago - - there is NO WAY with any of those Coach's would we even get a sniff from a 4 * - -we would be lucky to even be able to get a two way phone conversation with the group we had - -we would be lucky to get 3 * more 2 *'s

Coach L and staff have done a great job getting us started in the right direction - made great progress and these kids are seeing that. Plus they making in roads with in state kids -- and the in state kids are taking notice -I'm just so impressed with the staff & Coach L just oooozes Class.

The level of talent he is at least getting visits from or to has increased 1,000 % - just get stoked thinking about the possibility of becoming a respectable program again - -a program that on a Saturday you don't have to worry about empty stadiums & getting blown out - -those days are gone - I'm ready for 24 - -ready for spring ball - -Hope JD-6 has another great year -this team is gonna beat somebody this year - -more like somebodies lol -- -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Reading article this morning from TOS , and read where CBS Matt Norlander says KU will break the record of all time Quad 1 wins since its birth. Saying KU currently has 14 Quad 1 wins -which he believes ties the record. Norlander says Ku could end up with 16- - - 17- - 18 quad one's - - -KU beats WV -- -Texas TECH -that's 16--they win three in the tourney -that's 19 .

Making the case for the # 1 overall seed KU right now with 14 quad 1 wins is double of quad 1 wins over the current over all # 1 seed Alabama - KU with 14 - - - Alabama with 7. - - -Then Ku still ha 1 more quad 1 win over Purdue ( 9 ) & Houston ( 4 ) - -combined.. - -Yet at the time of the 1st top 16 bracket review KU had 3 more quad 1's then Purdue - - 5 more then Alabama - - & 9 then Houston & yet KU still seeded below all three of these teams

Out of KU'S 28 games this season - -19 of our 28 games has come in Quad 1 situations - -in which KU is 14-5. - Shouldn't even be any discussion , KU playing in the toughest Conference in the Nation and that's not even debatable and even most commentators agree Big 12 IS THE STRONGEST CONFERENCE - & we have FOURTEEN QUAD 1 wins- - FOURTEEN , think about that for a minute , and will end up with even more. - -should be NO discussion KU hands down should be the # 1 overall seed come the Tourney

Saying that Bill Self should win every COY award there is this year considering everything he lost - - losing 6-8 top players , two 1st round NBA draft Choices , and with Wilson & Harris the only two returning players that averaged over 2.1 ppg now on current roster. - Makes a very valid /solid point

Talked about how KU was the only one that didn't receive a 1st place vote in the beginning of season - - Bill just being Bill - - really good chance of winning the BIG 12 or sharing for the 17th time in his 20 years at KU - -good GOD. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

CJ Moore's article in The Athletic quoted Self as saying they didn't start the game they way they played in the second half, because he didn't think they would have the energy to do it thee whole game. Thought that was interesting.

Two players on bad wheels. Self was so confident we'd win, he chose to let them rest a bit first half. Not sure we can afford to do that with TCU.

The one thing is , if we can play Defense like we did in the 2nd half - - take care of the ball will help a lot. TCU is a terrible shooting team their % is not good. - -Take care of the ball defend tough and should be able to get big important win

Just listening to the radio today while scrolling sites. - -Pretty nice National media starting to talk about Ku & even repeat as National Champs. - -A month or so back I would of had y doubts on that but man, I'm telling you at times they have shown flash's of just insane crazy good - - gives me goose bumps when I see them play like that. Frustrating at times for sure, we can look so , so bad sometimes and then others - - - LOOK OUT -

Finding out that there just isn't purely dominant team this Season . - -Why not us ? - -I think w got just as much chance as the next guy. The one thing w got and National people talking about , were playing in the Best league - -HANDS DOWN - -not even close , KU has 13 Quad 1 wins - - FRICKEN THIRTEEN , every game we play can be a quad 1 win. - -If and again If we win out in Conference would be SEVENTEEN QUAD ONE WINS - how insane is that ? - This league is a meat grinder night in & night out.

Tonight's game is gonna be another. TCU Miles is back - -Lampkin is back - -it is going to be really rough. - The key tonight is , w have just got to take care of the ball no live turnovers. , Yet however and again being mentioned - I think it is a HUGE mistake if a team wants to get in a track meet with KU -- you wanna run - -let's run -there have been times Juan when we out and running just flat embarrassing guys crazy - -Turnovers is one thing but just rebounding the ball and go - -I'll take my chances with KU.

Here is my guess -I'm gonna say I think we have gotten better since the last time we have played them - -were do pay back -I'm just gonna say when the smoke clears - KU wins by 7 - - I see we are a 1 1/2 point underdog
