I love our walk on class so far. It doesn't have the top tier talent like a Conley, but there's a lot of versatility there that could contribute down the line.

Well now that it looks like our 2023 is done -- wl they have a safety coming in for an official this weekend - but looks like time to start focusing on our 2024 targets.
Maybe I have my tinted Crimson & Blues on a little heavy but dam I'm getting so excited for this KU team . Am I crazy or what lol ? - I just get this feel that 2024 could line up pretty well for us if the cards fall right, got some studs in the class - - In state kids which I think we are really making in roads with for sure.

At this point and present time I think we need Joe backing up Juan over Bobby. - -Bobby is a turnover looking for a place to happen at the prsent and no scoring threat at all- -a lot like Juan - -True Joe turns it over too not sure if any more then Bobby but much more of a threat on the offensive end
Ok guys you know Chiefs not my # 1 teem but just thought I would throw out some possible encouraging news for you. - -Maholmes was a full participant in practice today. He said he is doing good and fully expects to play. - -That's encouraging for you. Should be a really good game

I don't think Juan has ever been pushed this hard in past years.

Bobby looked great before Big 12 play. Then the competition became much tougher and we face all of these teams who have us totally scouted. He needs more minutes to adjust then he'll contribute more. Same for Joe.
Doing nothing different, at this point, would be a big mistake.
Heck... try starting Bobby once or twice. It's a way to shake things up. Maybe Juan plays better. Maybe Bobby plays better. Win-win.
We need to bite the bitter pill... mix things up a bit. We are already stooping to Self's intentional technical fouls.
Weel here is a tid bit - - the competition isn't getting any easier. So Bobby playing better before big 12 sure doesn't help us now. Hell I would start Joe at PG before Bobby.- Bobby is no threat now-- he can't shoot outside at all or hasn't shown it, he drives and endds up throwing it away - - jumps off his feet has nowhere to go and throws the ball away - - easy transistion for the other team.
Risk of injury is aHUGE PROBLEM when you have no bench - -the competition is much much harder the rest o the year soo Bobby isn't helping

I believe it is an accurate assessment. Our Big 12 competitors realize they need to attack the head of the beast.... and that is Juan.
He needs less PT and has his rest break in games monitored at proper timing so he can perform at a maximum.
Hard to recognize this team with Juan being off like this.
I think in the off-season he should work heavily on strength/conditioning. Look what it did for JWil! Juan has the body of a boy and he's facing some stout PGs.
Thing is we can't afford him to be out. - Who is competent of running point when he is out for any extended time? - -NO not Boby, Bobby is a turnover looking for a place to happen. - He is less scoring threat then Juan. I think the most I have ever seen Bobby score is maybe 6 - -MAYBE - -MAYBE 8 points. we can't afford even LESS A THREAT to score then Juan. Bobby is far less the distributor then Juan - so who runs PG when Juan sits ? - -I dunno
Makes me feel really good to see our latest group of 13 are now on Campus and enrolled for Spring Semester. - Can't lie I'm stoked you can see Coach is really filling in his guys and talent getting better. - -Couple of these guys are 4 Stars -one was rated a 5 star by one publication , getting some size height and weight.
One's I'm super excited that are actually here cause I think these guys are REALLY gonna help are : - Austin Booker ( DE ) from Minnesota- Pattrick Joyner ( DE ) from Utah State - Super, Super stoked about Damarius McGee - -4* ( CB ) from LSU -Super Stoked about Logan Brown - -he is the 5 * by the one publlication a 6'6 & 311 pound ( OL ) from Wisconsin - - -Spencer Lovell ( OL ) 6"6 and 335 pounds from Cal-- And realy stoked for our specialist we needed desperately --( PK ) Seeth Keller from Texas State
Super charged for ALL the guys but these to me are gonna be studs ya I realize we don't have a full 4 years with some of them but still filling in really nice - - -I'm ready

We are so good, adversaries pretend to be "fans"on our boards, and troll us. We live inside their brains 24/7. They want to be us, and can't, so they hate us.
I think my 14-4 conference floor is in danger, but can't blame a guy for wanting to think the best about this team. KenPom had us finishing 11-7 in conference preseason, so 12-6 and/or 13-5 are certainly in play. TOUGH league. Best in the nation, and it's not even close. Worst case: we end up 11-7. That would put us at 8 losses, probably 9 losses going into the tournament. The fact we have complied the most Quad 1 games, along with the toughest schedule known to man would still put us in competition for a #2 or a #3 seed. Put us in the Purdew bracket, and let us go to town.
I think we beat Tucky. Truthfully, I'm more worried about the 3 games after Saturday's game than this one. Although we owe those egg sucking dogs a beatdown.
The beauty of a Bill Self team is they always seem to overcome whatever criticism the fans have. Whether it's a player, a strategy, an offense, etc. Whatever we think we know, he knows it x 3. Case in point: MJ comes in, immediately loses his man,who casually waltzed to the rim for an uncontested layup. Within 5 seconds of him coming in. We've bantered about MJ getting more time, and it would seem logical to say let MJ play through his mistakes. But, maybe the mistakes aren't from lack of knowledge; maybe they're from lack of effort. If his offense is a bonus, maybe the lack of defense completely offsets it. The truth is, we don't know.
Like I said I think I'll put my trust a lot more into Bill over a guy sittin on the couch that in his mind has never been beat- - never drawn up a wrong play set. There is a Reason Bill Self is a College Hall of Fame Coach. - He has won more games in his Coaching Career then most of guys put together in this room.- - Think I'll just trust him. - -If it CAN BE FIXED - -BILL WILL FIX IT. - - we just got to wade through it. - -This Conference is a murders row - -even dog K/State is having a good season , we with and see if that repeats next year lol
Good Morning my KU friends bucketeers. Had to kind of chuckle this morning , after I read a text I got from my Nephew last night a little after 11:00 O'clock. He said don't be surprised if we get beat by Kentucky by 15 or more.
I'll repeat what I text him back. I said Brett , you have to support these guys. Got to thinking even more , like I said guys --now that I've had time to be more mature and think about this more logically then my idiot KU emotions play out during a game and where I go on rants and such , now given some time I think it's ok - -well maybe not ok in that sense but like I told him. Where is Kentucky this Season ? - - Where is Duke this Season ? - -Where is North Carolina this Season , - -Where is Gonzaga this Season - --Where is Michigan State this Season ? Gonzaga is the ONLY team of these teams ranked at all right now - - - PERIOD. - I ask him , how do you think THOSE FANS are feeling right now ? Sure we are struggling bad right now - - -REALLY REALLY BAD right now , but if this team sucks and it's the end of the world - -end of time like some feel how do we think these other fans feel. -IF this team is so bad sucks, IF the program is so bad- - Were no good then - - Why is it that K/State feels the need to do their chants and different things about KU whether we are even playing them or not? - -Why does Missery do/say the things they do/say about KU - - -WHY is it that no matter who we play when we play them that School SELLS OUT it's their GAME of the Season - -It's their NCAA TITLE GAME People want to come see KU - -they want to see THAT UPSET against one of the Nations best Icon's - -THE BLUE BLOOD.
They do these things cause it's ENVY ! ! out loud during the game these fans are booing -hollering vulgarities , hell sometimes throwing things but yet inside they are thinking - - DAM KU is good. - So of course when we are struggling others are just eating that up. Other teams are like WOW - Their fans become like dam we actually beat KU - yete outside they make their comments - -oh KU isn't shit they lousy just like their football program. We as KU fans have to understand -it's these other teams ONCE in a DECADE time to gloat - next year or even later this year they will put their raggedy old mothball ridden shirts BACK in the closet till the next decade where they might have a chance. - -Why do you think Kentucky is infatuated with KU - - even KU , cause they can't stand the fact we have taken the ALL TIME lead. IT's all about these other teams , these other fans INVY - - they wish they could be like KU
So ya we suck right now , we are really struggling right now. When or where will we when the next game ? - - who knows , but we just got to hang in there and support our guys. The sun STILL comes up the next day .I think I'll just continue to put my trust in Coach who won how many big 12 Championships in a row, Who has won 2 NCAA titles , who has what crazy winning % in the phog - -Who has what kind of ridiculous winning % at KU ? Ya Think I';; just continue to trust his knowledge of the game. A Coach I've heard sooo many analyst's say if NOT THE BEST - -then ONE OF THE VERY BEST - - X'S & O'S in the game in America today -- The Coach that ol Rat face that retire from Duke said he thought that Coach was the one that should be the leader for everyone in the NCAA game now -that Coach ya think I'll keep trusting him
Ya we have weakness now - -No Bench , A PG who is struggling and our other Scorers struggling yet even though we lost in the end I did see signs of Kevin AND Grady coming out of their slumps. Thing is we as fans have become spoiled we lose 3-4 5 games we think the world is coming to an end. We have the thinking we shouldn't EVER lose a game. That would be nice , thing is how many here before the season started thouht with what we had coming back that we would be a 3-4 loss team for the season ? a 5 loss team for the season ? - -This is THE BEST CONFERENCE in America guys it's hell to win night in and night out , there are no nights off in this league were gonna be fine - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
