just got through listening to Peterson interview. quite the routine he goes through- - - 6:00 a.m. running up hills-- - running in the pool and doing defensive slides. - -Noon works on shooting, - -afternoon working on mechanics and defense--- -night more running and shooting.- -seems vey level headed , mature for his age. - Already got that Collee frame , when ask what was one thing HE feels needs to work on and believe he said shooting off the catch - -pretty impressive interview.

Man I can't wait , finally getting to my time of year. I got us with the schedule leaning in our favor- -I got us at 11-1 -- worse case Scenario -10-2 .- - the two possible - -Wv & K/State - - both on the road & Wv first conference game , they are going to be good tough way to start the league.

Just saw that EA Sports updated the game to include the new stadium. It looks great and I am so excited to see a game there.

I'm really curious what's being built into the new stadium to level up the experience to become iconic.

I feel like the lights that surround the stadium could be part of creating that iconic experience, but wondering if others who know more could talk about them.

First, the lights are almost (but not quite) shaped like wheat ear-- I kind of wish they had been able to make it look just a bit more like a spikelet so the shape was more intentional.. I'm sure that would have added cost.

But second, I don't know how these lights function, but they clearly look different from traditional lights and I'm sure hoping they have features that are modern-- like being able to cast light in different colors and perhaps display in patterns.

I can't help but imagine how cool it would be if the lights could create the illusion of 'waving' after KU scores a touchdown. That would be the kind of iconic experience I'm talking about. Something that would be transcendent and distinctly (and authentically) Kansas. It would make no sense for other to copy that.

Anyone know what capabilities those lights will have? Are they just plain old white lights?

I'm not really sure on the lights, but your right would be awesome if they could do that after a score, maybe in Crimson and Blue -They need to add some kind of music/sound in the new Scorer board- - something intimating for when the defense is in and on crucial downs - -get the crows pumped.

I haven't seen in person but People are saying that drive by living in Lawrence are saying that the Camera's are doing the stadium no justice people who actually have seen the progress all say it's massive.

I know the one's that drew the blue prints and one's building say it will be a state of the art place , progressing really well, and I guess funding for phase two is coming around-- -still have ways to go for that but hopefully not to long. Gonna look kind of funny till completed. Yet think it's 450 Million for just phase one -- that's investing A LOT into a program putting in a lot of faith in some return. - -I think we re going to be just fine -- -ROCK CHALK

It's becoming a circus with Peterson - The kid listed an original eight once already, Then he drops that lists and now list another eight & half of the original isn't listed in his . Kentucky site listed in an article they think reason being is many of the original schools backed off Peterson was because they were under the assumption he was pretty much a lock for KU.

Now stil visiting USC , Ohio St -hell he even has K/State listed now in his list of final eight Schools. You talk about the ultimate kick to the Chones would be if Grape Ape ended up getting him to commit to them -- holy crap-

This is far from a done deal - -in the end they could still end up in the big 10 or SEC

Brett McMurphy which is considered by fellow reporters as one of the top if not the top who has very reliable sources put out an article today stating that: FSU will not be joining the BIG or SEC if it's successful leaving the ACC or the ACC stays intact.

Sources within the BIG & SEC says it does not make financial sense & FSU is not a good partner. The SEC saying it has no interest in expansion, also noted that FSU IS NOT the BIG or SEC's first choice for expansion, - -SEC & BIG both want N Carolina and Virginia -- because of new territory -- already have their feet in Florida,

Three SEC Presidents stated they have no interest in FSU being added , article also says Big 12 has a long ways to go to obtain FSU/Clemson need to belly up to the bar and give them what they want.

Ideally would love to have well they said that Brett Yormark 1st want is NC State to go with these Schools and then probably Louisville ( really good fit ) and or possibly Miami

Florida St is challenging the fee right now in court. Umm ya, this is starting to get serious , there i ALOT of smoke about this now. Jason Scheer reporting that there is an internal belief from sources the Big 12 that Florida St & Clemson will join the Big 12 within a year or so, rumor ha it that the BIG and SEC are playing it slow in any additions at this point and their main targets are N Carolina & Norte Dame. - -part of FSU being added is them not being AAU.

The AD at UCF thinks it's a done deal , Now does that mean this is done deal No - -BUT there has been serious talks. I still don't see it--alot don't see it and yet there is getting a lot more reporting of it from different sources.

Read this morning that four other ACC Schools are finalizing joining Florida St & Clemon coming to the Big 12

WOW that's all I can say is right now is WOW.- - -So as you all probably know by now i that the ACC will be imploding and now sounding more like sooner then later, they may try to rebuild with other Schools after but many of the existing will leave. The or one of the Big reasons was all started- -By Florida State wanting out - - Then Clemson wanted out - Now North Carolina looks like in the end will be gone.

Well for the longest time it was highly speculated that the BIG would be the landing spot for Florida St, but Clemson was iffy. - -More talk about them to the SEC - Well lately and report since around May 23rd per reports is that the BIG is going to take their time and be very patient and wait and see , not really wanting Florida State so much, word is that the BIG main target is North Carolina so talk shifted by some that Florida State and Clemson would probably land in the SEC - -well hearing that the SEC doesn't really want Florida St- -they too looking to add N Carolina & Virginia.

Now reports coming out from Ross Dellenger , and Josh Pate and others that Yormork stated that the Big 12 2 years later is still open for business They saying now there ha been third party talks behind the scenes with the Big 1 and Florida State. The question become can the Big 1 come up with enough resources to entice Florida State and or Clemon both to join the Big 12 - -which they think the answer is yes they could fr , and other. from private equities The benefit from FSY & Clemson would be really good -adding big name brands to the Conference would only help solidify the Big12 that much more for sure.

Fully understand this probably wouldn't be a long term thing maybe three years a at the first time of the BIG or SEC offer to Florida St they would be gone, but the money they could add while they are here would be hard to ignore with them and Clemson- - It is looking like it's pretty much a done deal that ESPN will choose not to extend their contract with th ACC in 2027 so there is i that adding to the ACC demise.

Other Schools that have been mentioned a lot coming to the BIG 12 that we pick up are Louisville- -be a good add Pii - Virginia Tech and NC State - in the end it' going to end up in Super Conferences anyways - -looking like Big 1 going to probably land with 20 teams -hold on to your butts - -this thing is FAR from over

Edited - -Oh ya one thing I forgot to mention also was still a lot of chatter that if the SEC does end up going to 20 teams that there is that posiility that KU would be invited to the SEC along with hopefully N Carolina and Virginia

KU Football with five first place media votes and predicted 4th, but there's plenty of optimism for a much better season for KU. I looked back to the 2020 season, Coach Miles' last, when KU finished 0/9 with the Texas game (thankfully) cancelled. Then, Coach Lipold's first season in 2021 when KU finished 2/10 with that big win over Texas. I agree with you , we are for sure on the upward trek. It's ok still got some targets on the board , Coach L seems like he does a good job with development , I trust him and the staff , sure they might not be as big of name on the board BUT doesn't mean they can't turn to be quality players , we will see how it goes I think we will be fine.

To um it up - - No . -- it ha been basically a two team race - - Oregon & K/State , his visit here was basically a courtesy visit.
Pretty Sure it's K /State guess he love Manhattan Think Oregon conceded this weekend when they realized they were out for him and they signed another Stud 4 star tight end in place of Cure. - - OH Well been a K/State lean almost from the get go.

So who thinks we end up with Peterson ?

Was reading an article came from Big Blue Nation I believes and they was during an interview with Peterson' Dad and he stated that Kentucky had always been Darryn's dream School - - hmmm hadn't heard that before.

My odds on thee two - -I'd say Acuff like 50/50 u and Arkansas -and Peterson about 70/30 for us- --what you think ?

I mean people already over paying for some - - -the late K/State addition for 2 Mil - -our you kidding me? - Hawkins isn't worth 2 Mil - I think this is just the beginning. I think this is just the tip of the iceberg as far as College athletics -- just becoming the NBA Minor league replacing the G league
