Sure, all that is why it makes sense in theory. It’s missing a crucial point, what does Self want to do? The answer to that is stay at Kansas. The Spurs aren’t that good, so why would Self want to leave a top 3 job in the sport to get his teeth kicked in by the LA teams, Denver, and the other Texas teams? Barring a near death penalty Self is staying. At least that’s what he’s told Long, et al.

I'm not saying HE WILL - -I just saying that people who think that he could EVER walk away from KU - - is just living in a box.

Well just finished watching the Ladies close out their Non-Con - -finished 11-0.

Now comes the telling factor. Can they translate to some conference wins. @Jayballer54 I wish it did too. All off season, I was expecting Silvio to start with Doke. That seemed to make sense. Doke and Dave just doesn't, whether watching or thinking about it.

Braun is progressing, but we should all expect bumps.

@FarmerJayhawk Ah, this is where Self being patient with Enaruna, getting him that valuable PT, has a good chance of paying off in March. I want to win the national title. Enaruna seems like a guy that could develop into an impact type guy. I would not pull that plug. I like the 10-12 minutes with more if he's playing well. We need to transition and go all in 4/1.

I like the 10ish number. He’s averaging a bit over 16 now, which seems high to me. I’d rather see Braun and Moss, with Garrett or Ochai at the 4. Push Moss closer to 25 MPG given his shooting numbers (42% from 3, 92% from the line) and Braun closer to 15. If we cut Enaruna down to 10 MPG and increase both Braun and Moss by 3 the math works.

Re: patience, that’s what we need with Silvio. He’s learning a new position and shaking off in-game rust. He’s our most mobile and skilled big and a tremendous rebounder. We have an immensely higher ceiling with him vs. McCormack. I love Dave but he and Doke aren’t good together. Would like to see Silvio get more than 9 MPG and Dave less than 17.

ya I could agree with Dave a little less then his 17 - -give Dave 10-12 minutes. - -someone needs to spell Doke. - -David is a pretty dam good rebounder - -give him his 10 for this year - -it is just good to have the depth. - -work a few wrinkles out and this team could be almost lethal

I'd like to see us run more offense specifically for Devon though I wonder if Self is thinking that he needs to protect him from injury or wearing down in the year. We can think back to guys like Frank, Sherron, who were overused and then banged up by March.

Well this was/is kind of interesting , thought it might stir up some reactions opinions. centering on Lamar.

So was listening to Sports Nation this afternoon on the radio , and the topic of Lamar came up. - -Seems Lamar when out and bought all his O-Line Rolex watches -no biggie right ? Well seems like that didn't sit very well with this lady that is a Baltimore Ravens fan.

She wrote and said she thought it was not good for Lamar - -wondering why he would do that , saying with the way the things are in today's Society - -why Couldn't Lamar give that money he spent on those O-Lineman and donate it to Charity. - She wrote that NFL players make insane money and they could buy their own Rolex. - finished up by saying not a good look Lamar.

So here is the question. - -What do you think ? - - Should or would it been a better thing if Lamar donated the money he spent for the players - -given it to a Charity -- or would you of done the same thing ?

Actually I don't think there is a right or wrong answer. - -I could see people's argument EITHER way. -True the Lady might have a point most Charities count on a lot of donations and sure would of help -going towards finding a way for any kind of diease /illness - or going to like St Joe's hospital right - -where the kids go that are really sick - -giving that money to that to have it help for whatever.

No update on my end. Which is a good thing!

In order of confidence signing in spring: Caldwell (near lock), Jones (ditto), Bryant (he’ll sign if he qualifies), Scott (us if nobody else wants him), Harden (JuCo lock).

So here we are my friends, Another year has passed us all. Time sure flies , especially the older we get. Just wanted to take the time out and say yet once again about how glad I am to have joined.

I've met other fans of the Crimson and Blue , a place here where we discuss about our favorite team -have discussion , debate , swap opinions - some times heated - -but it's ok, at the end of the day - - were still here to see the sun sit on yet another day and through it all we stand firm stand one and all the very proud Jayhawk Nation.

We can agree to disagree on things BUT one thing we all don't disagree on is our loyality & love for KU.

I’ll trust my gut and unless things change KU is an elite eight team that’ll lose to a “hot” three point shooting team. Easy to get hot with so many open looks. @Crimsonandblue12 I’m just setting a more realistic goal for this team (for myself). I’m tired of expecting a championship out of flawed rosters and being disappointed. This team is decent, much better than that train wreck last season that made me apathetic towards KU b-ball, but should be ranked no higher than 10. 5 is a gift.

question is have we seen a team this year that DOESN'T have flaws? - -didn't think so - we are right there with about 10 others teams THIS YEAR for all of it

Understand , however the point being win or lose the competition is a lot harder on KU's part. -Duke - -Villanova - - -Colorado - - Dayton - - Tennessee - -others. - - could of had Michigan St had they not screwed around. - -Where as Stanford schedule isn't even Scheduled a big bunch of no bodies
