Man I wish I could just get myself excited about our ladies. -- Here we are again we are 11-0 , but I'm sorry it's just that I've seen this movie before, and if any of you guys follow our ladies even in the least you know what I'm talking about.

I think the results are what @HighEliteMajor is addressing. You seem perfectly content with the results. But you have to admit the results are getting old. They need to change and his points are his way of addressing these results. Intentions will NOT win games, results are all that matters. I'm sure Self "intends" to win every game. But you have to analyze and change your plan to get winning results. You can't keep intentions that produce short fall results. Self is falling short with his intentions. His intentions and results are severely lacking, and frankly they seem to be getting all too common by the year. I'M NOT ADVOCATING FIRING. He just needs to tweak and tune his game prep a bit.
It's early and we shall see if his intentions produce results. If this game is any indication, I'm concerned. We all say every year that when Self facing a bad game, "he'll adjust." Well...we'll see.

So , I've got this question , and even though some might make a take and think it's based off today. - -NO it's not just based off today, today is part but not just today.

So the question being as of today - - to this point of the year off what we have seen , Do you guys think that Devon has improved his game enough - -that much to be ready to make that jump to the NBA next Season? - -The NBA gave him things to work on and improve on. I don't see that improvement to where he should or could make that move.

One of the things the NBA told him he needed to work & improve on was his outside shooting. - -Has he made that improvement ? -the answer is No he hasn't - his outside shooting is sill suspect. - Were not talking the little below the key shooting - -not the 5-7 foot floaters - -I'm talking the 15-20 foot jumpers. - the improvement is not there very inconsistent. - - The NBA told him he need to work on and improve on taking better care of the ball. - -Has he improved in that ? - - I would say very questionable -for sure not NBA quality of taking care -careless, loose with the ball at times for sure.

Should he enter the NBA draft next season ? - - At this point seeing his performance - at this point with what he has done -I would say he should NOT declare. - -Curious, I don't see it

Well was doing some scrolling this morning, checking out what Villanova new media/fans having to say about the game. - -Sounds like the line right now is KU is a ONE point favorite.

Some things to know : # point shooting looks pretty much a toss up. - -Villanova shoots the 3 at a - -38.1 % - KU shoots at a - -37.3 % - - -KU defensively limits opponents 3 point shooting so far this year at 29.6 %. - - Villanova is 86th in Adjusted Defensive efficiency - not really all that great.

Of Course they do have guys that can for sure really hurt you from the 3 if you don't guard Swider is at - - 47.7 % - - -Bey which is probably the guy we really have to watch overall - leading Scorer and shoots 44.4 % from the 3 - - Earl hits at a 35 % clip from the 3

Earl averaging almost a double double for the year scores like 12.1 a game and RPG of 9.7 . - -They are saying they are going to need more then one guy to step up in order to beat KU - dong a poll on who they think is going to be that guy - Talking can't afford for Earl to get in foul trouble. - - One thing might play in our favor - - - - Villanova has trouble all year they say with the High ball Screen - -pick and roll - could play to our advantage Coach do like his high ball screens.

There’s zero doubt Franks would be the most talented QB we’ve ever had. That’s the Les Miles effect. Dude was a top 50 overall recruit and will be an NFL player.

I don’t remember if I made this exact point here but without him, this feels like a 2 win team. Franks takes us to 4-5 just on what he can do with Dearmon. That’s CRUCIAL for us moving to the 21 and 22 classes, where the staff will really make their money.

You know what, I think I would have to agree with you for sure. - -At least 4 wins -5 possible. - the dude you can see has got skills , easily our best QB in like some time. - like I said though too , with this type of QB that is gonna to help Pooka tons - no way are opponents going to be able to stack the box with a QB like this. - -Again I saw Highlight film but I don't give a rats ass you can tell this guy is legit.

I really don't like this game. I do AND I don't. I like the competition But we just have trouble with these guys.

I think we just have got things going against us. # 1 - - It's our 1st true road game , and I can tell you from reading their boards this week and listening to their podcast - -they are really looking forward to this game - - # 2 - -we never do play well right before Christmas break, think the guys are just ready to get through the game they want to get home to family the way I look at it would be is ( Hell we have to be here - -we have to play this anyways - so we might as well just go ahead and win the dam thing right ? ) - that's the way they need to look at it. Just seems our Concentration is just not there before Christmas break # 3 - we just have trouble matching up with these guys - they play 5 out, interesting to see who matches JRE.,

They feel they have a huge advantage on the offensive end - -I laugh at that - -they have mis matches on their offensive end - -BUT we have mis matches on our offensive end.

I think Moss has a big part in this match up tomorrow, they seem to think they can play Doke right out of the game. - they are constantly talking about Doke -- McCormack and Desousa - not really giving Oachi much thought - no talk about Moss. - -I think they think we will play 3-2 in the entire game. - -While I know and you know actually we don't play with 2 big's a lot. - I think our 4 out will give them trouble also - -they have trouble defending quick guards dribble drive - - that fits Devon , and Marcus perfect - -hoping for the est. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

mercy , is it getting TO EASY for kids to transfer? - Seems like kids now days sign with a School, some/more then a few feel like they deserve the starting spot actually without working for it. - Get to the school fin out others just as talented if not more, find out they not getting that playing time - so instead of suckin it up - -working on things they need to improve on to get THAT TIME - they just run - -transfer.

I feel it's ok to transfer if your recruited by a Coach and then you get there and he is Gone, a lot of these kids actually commit to the Coach - - not to the School. so I mean if that's the case then ya, your coming to a school to play for that Coach and then he leaves, no way you should be stuck there. But in other cases I think it's just to easy. However after saying all that - - if a kid is not happy where he is at - -the let him go, I'd rather give a kid his release then to force him to stay and be a Cancer on the team. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Was listening to the local sports show on my radio though the day yesterday and last night. They had several guests on and EACH one of them said the same thing.

They said people wrong about this like with Wiseman , they said People DON'T be blaming the NCAA for this type of thing, they said the People you should be placing blame on is the NBA

@jayballer73 We had 23 seniors this season. If we sign the max of 25 (we most likely do with 18 in the early session) we would net gain 2 players as long as no one transfers. But people also forget that I believe a couple of those seniors we former walk ons and/or actual walk ons that weren’t really D1 guys. Getting 2 or 3 full classes with mostly high schoolers will help a ton.

@BeddieKU23 Listened to the Villanova podcast. - they were talking about how to attack Ku on the offensive end. - - Talking/asking about do they attack it the way they have the last couple of times ? - taking Doke completely out of the game not being able to defend the perimeter - - Talking about the best chance is to attack and the Pace.

Said they don't think they wanted to get into a up and down with Devon and KU - they feel they want to pressure on Defense force our bigs to get up and down the floor - on our offensive end they think they want us or force us to execute. - they rather have us in the half court instead of up and down - - pick their spots.

They talked about Devon being a fantastic guard and hard to stay in front of him - these are the type of Guards they have had trouble with this year -They think they can neutralize our bigs with their 5 out. - -only one problem with that - -we don't run with a 3-2 very long it seems - more of a 4-1 -I thin k Moss could play a big role in this game - -us playing more of Garrett- -- Dotson - - Obaji - - Moss - & Doke -Or Dave - -little different from teams past

Bottom line is they think JRE HAS to have a big game - -make Doke come out and defend him - -has to hit shots. - - I think it is going to be a tight game -- They think Gillispie gonna have a huge game - Think Garett plays a huge part in this too shutting down probably the Dude that comes off the Bench and also spenda a lot of time on Gillispie

Gives me a bad feeling for Saturday. - -Teams being ranked # 1 in the Nation haven't fared well this year.

With this being KU'S 1st road game of the year , playing a pretty good team that have given us fits at different times , and I'm telling you from things I'm seeing Villanova is looking forward to this game. We've always seem to not play our best right before Christmas. -Lot of things going against us for this game, Just don't get a good feel , it's a crazy year this year in College Basketball.

Bottom line is Nobody is really separating themselves from everyone else. There really is NOT that a true dominant team this year. I think if we could come out of there with a win , I think you could very easily make a case for Us to be that team. Utah playing to lose - - -not to win , playing scared. - then again the officials decided to step in. - - Utah stopped being aggressive - -now only up by 3 with 3:42 left to go

Well Utah came out on fire again starting 2nd half. - -Now up on Kentucky by 14 with like 14:30 to go - -this would be a sweet way to end my day - Utah lost to coastal Carolina by 22 - - lost to Tulane geez

Man Utah was in control of this entire 1st half. had everything rolling their way , and then just folded in the last 2 1/2 minutes of the half. - -They had just went up by 12 and then turn right around and let Kentucky end the 1st half on a 8-0 run - -Utah up 35-31 at the half now.

It was awesome watching the Kentucky fans just seating their in their seats arms folded and silent. This is a Utah Team that got beat by Coastal caroling by 22 points and have led Kentucky the entire 1st half.

The way they let Kentucky back in at the end of the 1st half I think will be a total different story 2nd half - -dam shame - -they had these guys right where Kentucky needs to be - sucking butt and blew it - -new ball game now. -DAM - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

The Big thing that I really like and it is BIG the approach Coach Miles and his Staff has taken. All these kids High School kids , you got to love that. - This Staff has really gotten after it Coast to Coast From California to Florida .

Some very solid pieces , got some special - -got some speed. - Kerishawn Brown OLB -has 4.5 - 40 speed -Johnquai Lewis was mentioned Multiple times.

You can see coach is going after size - - BIG Tight Ends - -6'5 225 - - - 6'7 240 -those are big guys

Think we have a couple of true studs in the making with Lawrence Arnold - -People really drooling about him - had some really good offers, - - the other Triston Golightly 6'5 205

Plenty of talk about Karon Prunty CB out of Virginia -- plenty of talk about Alonzo Person OLB out of Cal - - feeling much better. -I know you realize Coach's have to talk these guys up , but yet really don't feel like we are getting a lot of smoke blown up our A- -

All is well comrade. We wanted one more guard but looks like Remetich is staying home. The multitude of wideouts is because we graduate a handful next year: Parchment, Naylor, Robinson, Fairs, and Lassiter. 1-2 could move to TE as well. We should hang onto Jones and Caldwell to beef up the D-line. I’m very satisfied with the class so far. Mostly defense, all HS.

Just read the Dual QB has either signed or committed - -3 star Collins - -de-commit - -guess we will find out at 2 when Les has his thing on ESPN plus at 2 talking about our signees

I think Danny could help in drawing in that more elite mobile big that could cover in open space a little more. - -Danny just worked really well with the Big's while he was here
