Now don't get me wrong , not trying to sound over confident but , not to overly concerned with Colorado either. - -The Reason ? - -Well we are playing in the Phog - - -It's Colorado 1st road game of the season - - -Their Schedule hasn't exactly been top tier , their only one really decent opponent was the 1st game of the year beat Arizona State - others nothing to write home about.

They don't shoot the ball worth a crap - they rank # 272 in the Nation in shooting the ball - -only shooting the ball at a 41.3 % clip - -Three point shooting pretty similar to ours they shoot @ 36.4 - - we shoot @ 35.8 they don't score the ball that well 69.0 ppg , we are at 83.0 ppg.

they shoot free throws at 69.5 . we are at 66.2 - -they out rebound us right at 1 1/2 rebounds more - -nothing to get worked up about. The one thing is we have to be careful with Bey he averages 12 rebounds per game, and their leading scorer - can't let him go nuts. - -I think we will be just fine. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

North Carolina getting killed at Chapel Hill by Ohio State 71-48. - - N Carolina hasn't scored 80 points in a game this year - - - n Carolina hasn't shot 50 % from the filed in a game this year. -Down year in College Basketball.

the number 5 team just got their buts handed to them on a plate by a 4-3 Purdue team - - by 29 - -There is Bennet's jaugernaut team.

If you can't score and run into a hot team - -a team like this is screwed, - proof is right there in front of you - -boring team BORING TEAM - -40 fricken points - -equation =1 point a minute - - YIPPEE

Right now at this Point Purdue giving Virginia some of their own medicine Purdue up 21-9 - -with 7:50 to go in the 1st half. - -Hell that 21 points is about an entire game against Virginia.

Langford definitely hurts them.

I know preseason expectations didn't change when Langford went down but they should have. I think the media missed how important he would be to their offense. Without him its just Winston & Tillman. Winston's numbers are slumping because his supporting cast isn't as good. Henry is solid but after that its growing pains. I guess the losses of McQuaid and Goins and their 129 3's from last season is also playing a huge factor.

one of the problems from last night, although don't think it would of changed things but Michigan State without Tillman for most of the 1st half last night sure didn't help[

True I guess I must have thought he was a few inches shorter but whatever the case the kid can rebound. 4th in the country right now, 2 of his last 3 games rebound totals at 17 & 19. Also has 15 assists in his last 4 games. Tough matchup

Mercy, I didn't realize that - - those are some pretty impressive numbers - not necessarily the best of competition - but still impressive I don't care who it is

Curious , and I know there is no room on the roster for this year BUT just had a question. - -JT Thor didn't sign in the early period most thought he would be signing early with Okla State. - -he didn't , but said he never planned signing early from the start. - -There has been some talk about possible Over sea's - -he said he thought some about- -but very unlikely.

Thing is I the article said there was four schools really focusing on him. -- Oklahoma State - - - -Kentucky - - - KU - - & then I forget another school, his only official had been to Oklahoma State.

I'm expecting a close game in this one. KU needed the break after 3 games in 3 days but its a long time to sit given how the schedule played out. I'm sure the guys need the rest especially after Dotson and Agbaji went 45 minutes but this is a game Self will have to coach up the intensity.

Boyle will bring his group prepared and he's got one of his best teams since he's been there. They are Kenpom #9 defensively but #75 offensively so I think this will be a low scoring first half/game.

If KU can find some kind of flow offensively we should be able to get the ball into Doke in situations they cannot match up with at some point. I would bet the farm Boyle doubles Doke in the post. Moss & Agbaji will have to make some open looks. Dotson and Garrett getting dribble penetration could be key to breaking down their defense.

Their big man likes to shoot 3's which always exposes our biggest weakness on defense. They are not a great shooting team. Their PG is good so that's another good matchup for Dotson. Bey has been their best player and is averaging a double-double, he must really have a knack for rebounding because he's not that big.

Colorado has held 4 teams under 53 points. They beat Arizona St in the opener, A-St lost by 3 to Virginia recently. They also own a 4 point win over Clemson. This will be by far the best team they have faced and is their first "road game" of the season. Hopefully Allen Fieldhouse isn't kind to them

According to their roster , Bey is 6'7 - -not big - but not really small either, if he has some hops I could see him rebounding well

The, "the way KU defends" statement stood out to me. I continue to shake my head regarding our choices on defense. When will Self see the three point line to be as much of a threat as the ball being inside 8 feet?

And how many of their 33 attempts (16 made) were pretty much wide open (which is the biggest concern)?

We can't play conventional help defense and effectively guard the three point line. It just seems to me that we over commit in help situations and that creates open looks at the line. Too easy.

Mercy KU has done this for I forget how many years. I've said numerous times myself - -opponents WIDE, WIDE open on some three's - - just crazy. I don't know how many times an opponent has been so open on the base line hell he could have time to eat a sacked lunch and still have time to make the open three. - -I just don't get it - - - KU went to that zone for a stretch against Dayton and I was screamin - - -WTF - -I mean these guys were killing it from the three against man to man - -and we go ZONE - -I'm to old for that crap gonna be the end of me yet lol

No doubt Silvio was important his freshman year and we know what he's capable of. I'm hopeful he'll get some opportunities in games coming up, its a long season and we'll have games he will be needed
