I think OSU played pretty dirty this half with continued pressure down 32 points with less than 5 minutes. I usually like Mike but I’ve lost some respect for him tonight. I get trying to press for a little bit to keep your guys engaged but some super hard fouls there.

We lost to Dook and Nova because of our end game. We beat Tech and Baylor with our end game. Maybe we are getting better, a bad pass and a lucky 3 by Baylor made that a 3 point game instead of a 8 point one. Just gotta learn from those.
Good half defensively, a lot of short shots. We are still tired, let’s go win the second half and take a few days off.

@wissox they are probably GA or way up in 9A, 13A, etc. tonight's game doesn’t shock me in the middle of the week vs the 9th of 10 team. I went to a mid major game mid week a couple of years ago for $15 way up there. I’ll bet TCU will start to go up til game day.
@nuleafjhawk pretty much anything north of Crawford is questionable in Salina especially to the west lol.
It’s all personal preference to what city you like or dislike and also what part of the city you have been associated with. @Crimsonorblue22 lives in Hutchinson and likes it and thats good for her. I wouldn’t want someone stuck were they aren’t happy. I’ve several bad experiences in hutch, like finding drug syringes in a park and one of my best friends was held at gun for walking in on a drug deal at gas station bathroom there. I work with two guys that were born and raised there that claim it’s a crap hole. But I’d bet if you live in the right neighborhood, it’s not bad. Me personally I avoid it and have only been 1 or 2 times in the past 8 years or so. @nuleafjhawk I actually was born in Salina and lived there for several years as a kid. I don’t have a high opinion of the place if I’m honest. But its because I lived in the crappy side of town. Where Broadway and 9th come together was my neighborhood, a couple of the houses I lived in are boarded up now. I will always remember walking home in 5th grade and seeing the cops kick the door in on drug bust in the house beside us. The cop chewed my rear end for 15 minutes before I could tell him I lived right there and was just trying to get home. Wichita is a good town if you live in a good area, I had friends that went to WSU and that campus is in a bad part of town. They got their cars broken into several times and there was guns ringing most nights according to them. I personally prefer small town America where I probably know 90% people that live in my town and the crime rate is almost non existent. That being said there are some bad small towns that are nothing but a bunch of rednecks and meth heads. We are are entitled to our opinions and we could argue all day.

@Crimsonorblue22 I’ve heard the same, Ochai’s dad Olofu, is also from Nigeria like Doke. I here the Agbaji family travels over there from time to time. Does anyone know where Dokes mom is? I thought she moved to the states with him but haven’t heard of her around town.
Dotsons name has come up a couple of times for NPOY and B12 POY. But I don’t feel like many are considering Doke for either award and that bothers me. I believe he’s averaging 15 and 12 in conference play and has flat out dominated on several occasions. Anthony Davis POY stats are almost identical and I felt Trob was cheated that year(every stat better but blocks). I think they both should be all Americans at this point. But what is everyone’s take on the POY both National and B12?
@jayballer73 I agree with @Crimsonorblue22, the dude had a bad game on offense. He was solid defensively and had 5 rebounds. I mentioned this on another thread. He is super young and hardly a sophomore. He didn’t start playing til late January last season. This was likely the biggest game of his young career and a learning point. In the tournament really need him, Braun and Moss to play consistently. We can ill afford for all 3 of those guys to be off on the offensive end. Also it’s Ochai Agbaji.
I’m a little worried about this OSU game. Sandwiched in between Baylor and the stool rematch. They have been playing much better as of late, winning 3 of the last 5. Should be 4 because they got hosed in Waco. It should be a 20+ point win, but we can’t afford to sleep walk into it.

A really good team win, this game reminded me of the battle we had in Allen against OK St in 2005 I believe. Two teams just trading jabs til the final horn.
@StLJhawk yep I’ve been saying that for several years. Self seldom loses the first game of the weekend in the tournament. That second game is always the one that worries me.
@KirkIsMyHinrich I agree, top 4 are probably locks, Texas and Oklahoma still have a chance but I think OU squarely on the bubble after today’s loss.

@FarmerJayhawk it should be a 40 point win, only Sneed and Diarra are power 5 level of players and Sneed has been garbage this season after being really good last season.

@BShark Ya, I’m not saying only go for sub 100 guys but seems like most of the for sure OADs here have flopped IMO. You can get good players like Dot that will stay for 2 or 3 years.
@FarmerJayhawk I would love to go in there and spank the pants off of them but I’m still cautious because they will be fired up for that one. They also some how whipped the daylights outta WV there.
@Marco I’m pretty much against the OADs at this point. I’m okay with one and that’s it, same way with transfers. One of each is fine, anymore and the team had little chemistry.
@Texas-Hawk-10 I’m glad you got to go today and I agree the atmosphere looked great probably will only be topped by the goat ropes in Manhattan as far as what we will see on the road.

@StLJhawk you can say that with 20 different plays on both sides in a game this close. If Moss hits that 3 he was short on with 2 minutes to go if Ochai hits one of his 2 wide open ones or his lay up. I would’ve done the same as Bill with how good Vital is on the glass.
Ochai wasn’t bad defensively, he’s just had terrible game on offensive. We all just need to remember he’s hardly even a sophomore with missing half of the season last year and this was easily the biggest game of his career.
