Just rewinded the TV, clearly off Baylor

Good god Ochai, huge miss

Get Doke a blow and feed him

Self needs to challenge Dave’s manhood, Vital is a foot shorter and out working him.

Doke is gassed

I was hoping we could take advantage of Vital on the bench

That Garrett play is exactly what killed in the first meeting. Turnovers to lay ups .

Good start, great if Moss finishes the first, I love Vital bitching. That could’ve been an intentional foul.

@Texas-Hawk-10 Vital could be called for a push in the back on every trip on offense.

We were the much better team that half outside of the first two minutes and last two minutes. The refs really kept them in it when we was up 9 IMO.

I don’t know why we didn’t go 2 for one there, they only get one shot not 2 if we do.

We are fine, let’s go 2 for 1 here

The refs are the only reason it’s a contest right now folks.

Weak fouls on the blue team

Can’t stop rebounding now guys!!

Goodness

Good clean game so far

My god Doke

Rebounding has been good,

@Marco ya it’s one of my favorites with blue chips. Denzel is one of my favorite actors, he’s seldom in a bad movie.

@Marco what about Jesus Shuttlesworth??

More than we can BEARS... • Feb 21, 2020 04:48 AM

Barkley was much better offensively

Devon Dotson Appreciation Thread • Feb 21, 2020 04:44 AM

No question that Dot is ahead of where Mason and Graham were as sophomores. He also has started every game but one I believe this far in his career, so that does help. His assist to turnover ratio has improved the last month. I believe Mason and Graham to be better shooters and passers than Dot but he has a super quick first step and can get to the lane a little easier. I think he goes late first round and if he can he’d be a fool to stay. I think this is the weakest draft class in over a decade personally. He needs to find consistency in shooting 3s and finishing at the rim. His game very close to Masons, where Graham is much better is his range to shoot. I believe that’s why Graham is doing better right now. I think both Dot and Mason can be solid back up PGs in the right organization. Dot is having a great season and I’m glad he’s here!!

Tourney prediction time already?!? • Feb 21, 2020 12:02 AM

I hate being picked by the ā€œexpertsā€. It’s a curse for us.

No one can predict what will happen, the trouble is we have had so many teams that should’ve won a title.

Other Games • Feb 20, 2020 08:57 PM

@BShark I’ve alway thought the auto bid should go to the regular season champ, the only reason they do it off the tournament is draws more money from TV.

No Doubt my MVP for this team • Feb 20, 2020 05:44 AM

1.Dotson

1.Garrett

1.Doke

Ivan Renko: An Anti-Retrospective • Feb 20, 2020 05:39 AM

The funny thing about this someone this past summer made a fake Twitter account and recruiting profile for a football player and he was making posts about top offers and sites started ranking him. Heck guys like Graham and Mason shot up the rankings into the top 100 but only after we signed them. Media is just a circus in general lol.

Other Games • Feb 20, 2020 05:32 AM

@BShark apparently Bruce was hot at Diarra for missing a dunk that he tried to show boat on that would’ve tied the game. Then KSU gave up a 3 a few seconds later to force the TO. My KSU buddy said Bruce didn’t even have the guts to pull him!!! If that’s the case he sure as hell ain’t disciplining him.

Other Games • Feb 20, 2020 04:40 AM

@BShark @bskeet was thinking the same thing, they have some quick little guards and we really won because they really had no answer for Doke.

Other Games • Feb 20, 2020 04:35 AM

@Crimsonorblue22 I bet good money on Diarra transferring out after this season. Bruce has most likely lost this team. They have won all of 2 games so far this calendar year, 1 road win all season in OT vs UNLV on November 9th.. yikes lol I love it

Nevada is on Fire! • Feb 20, 2020 04:19 AM

I usually don’t watch this stuff in any capacity and didn’t watch a lot but man they all seem insane to me lol.

John Belein to the Cavs • Feb 20, 2020 03:30 AM

@Kcmatt7 I’ll agree about his poor choice of words but if consistency and post season success mean anything Belein is superior to Weber IMO and it’s not close. Weber has a .03 better win percentage (could be lower by seasons end) than Belien, but he has inherited much much better programs than Belien IMO. Most of Weber’s post season success came in his first two seasons at Illinois with a Sweet 16 and a National runner up. If you take those outta the equation he has made it passed the first weekend a grant total of 2 times (1 KSU, 1 SIU) in 20 seasons of coaching (22 years is his total with the 2 at Illinois). Weber in 22 years at this level mostly at a power 5 school has a total of 4 sweet 16s, 2 elite eights and 1 FF. Belein in 27 years has made 7 sweet 16s, 5 elite eights and 2 FFs. In the regular season I’d say they are even, Weber has more conference titles but Belein I believe was hitting his stride in Michigan. That’s why I was shocked to see him leave. He had 9 tournament appearances in 12 years and was a staple in the upper half of the B10. Weber will most likely 5 for 8 for the NCAA tournament after this season at KSU and will hopefully finish dead last in the B12. I’d say Belein is average and hit his stride late, Weber can’t do jack didily crap with his own guys. I’d say he’s slightly below average because of his lack of postseason success even counting some of his best years with teams some else built. Arguably four out of five of Weber’s best years are his first two with KSU and Illinois teams that were lead by someone else recruiting and development for a few years. Without those he’s pretty much a laughing stock IMO. That’s why it was so shocking to see them tie Tech the title last season, I’ll bet that never happens again. Glad niether one is our coach at the same time lol.

More than we can BEARS... • Feb 20, 2020 12:13 AM

It will be a battle, probably the biggest regular season game this year in college hoops. Baylor is great because of the togetherness of their team and the athleticism of their guards. They basically surrounded Doke and either stole the entry pass or slapped it outta Dokes hands in the first meeting. We need all of our guards to be ready not just Dot and Garrett. Outside shooting will be a big key, knocking down open 3s to prevent them from double and tripling Doke will be a must. People always talk about how beating a zone defense down the floor is key, I agree but beating any defense down the floor is helpful. This honestly could be the biggest game in Baylor men’s program history. We play in big games every year. I’m not sure if that’s an advantage for us or not but it can’t hurt.

Dok Dok Dok Dok Dok • Feb 19, 2020 11:39 PM

I think it’s a no brainer at this point. Doke will be drafted late first round or early second round. Him getting in the weight room this summer is a big reason why. He’s been quicker to the ball, quicker with post moves and blocking/altering more shots. He also has improved his FT shooting, not great at this point but his shot looks better and he’s had solid games from the line. He is currently averaging career highs ft%, assists, rebounds and blocks. Bout the only stat is he behind in is FG% and points. Those numbers could go up with a few big games his points are just .6 off and FG% is a little bit deceiving with how much more his is shooting this season.

Fixing College Basketball • Feb 19, 2020 03:38 AM

I like the idea of changing to quarters to help keep the game moving without 1 and 1’s. Hate the idea of shortening the shot clock. It part of the reason I despise the NBA, too short of a clock to run good offense. One on one or pick and roll sums up 90% of NBA offenses. I like the game how it is for the most part.

John Belein to the Cavs • Feb 18, 2020 05:33 AM

I think Belein is a solid college coach and considerably better than Weber. He pretty much has Drummond and Love who’s hurt about half the time in Cleveland. That place has been a wasteland since its inception out side of the LeBron years. They have all of one division title without him. Arguably the worst roster in the NBA right now. I think that’s why it was so surprising to see him take the job. Maybe because he’s guaranteed 30 million it’s just his retirement plan lol.

300 consecutive sellouts • Feb 18, 2020 05:23 AM

800-114 good for just over 87% in a 65 year old building. Pretty amazing

Sooner or Later OU was sent packing • Feb 18, 2020 04:56 AM

@tundrahok that’s pretty chicken sh**, I wonder if Squeak man Bruce’s maiden name is Tubbs and he took his wife’s name. That sounds right up his alley.

Better from behind? • Feb 18, 2020 04:52 AM

It will be interesting to see if Self starts Moss or Braun. I think Moss will continue to start going forward because he had more experience and seems better on the defensive end. But we need a Braun to aggressive like he was tonight from here on out.

Marcus Garrett should be not only B12 defensive POY but National defensive POY and an all American for how much he effects the game on both ends.

Better from behind? • Feb 18, 2020 04:47 AM

@HawkChamp I’ll be plenty happy with 2 Baylor losses this week lol

Better from behind? • Feb 18, 2020 04:42 AM

@HawkChamp It would be tough to trust Drew for obvious reasons but the law of averages has to kick in for him eventually. I still think a weak conference has helped them. I also don’t think their non conference was all that great outside of Nova and Arizona. Washington (12-14) was only the second game of the year for them but a bad bad loss.

Better from behind? • Feb 18, 2020 04:33 AM

@HawkChamp Pooooooffff

Better from behind? • Feb 18, 2020 04:32 AM

@chriz it will be interesting to see the line on this game, I’m sure Baylor will be favored as they should be being ranked #1 and on the roll that they are on. It will be interesting to see who has more pressure as well, Scott Drew has never won a conference title at Baylor with some good teams and KU doesn’t have the streak to worry about. I agree with @BShark tho KU and Baylor look light years above the rest of the conference consistently. There have been a game or two Tech and WV have played great but it would be a big upset in my mind if Baylor or KU loses to anyone but each other the rest of this season including the conference tournament. That being said I do think OU can beat Baylor tomorrow, I just wouldn’t bet on it at this point.

WeatherWAXED Game Thread • Feb 18, 2020 04:24 AM

@truehawk93 it’s a huge game for Oklahoma. I don’t believe them to be on the bubble just yet but they have been losing stock a bit. They have some bad losses including one to KSU but really on have one good win vs a struggling WV team. If they can pull it off tomorrow and they played Baylor tight on the road. It will damn near lock them in. I think Saturday is a must win if we hope to win the conference outright.

WeatherWAXED Game Thread • Feb 18, 2020 04:10 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 that’s awesome buddy, be careful.

WeatherWAXED Game Thread • Feb 18, 2020 04:03 AM

@nwhawkfan hopefully it is an advantage that we have played at 11 am I believe 3 other times this year. I’m not sure if Baylor has or not.
