This will a super tight game, with their pressure, it wouldn’t surprised me if we lost. Can’t have 28 turnovers. They pressure us and probably pack the paint with a zone and dare us to shoot.

@justanotherfan exactly what I was saying on the game thread. It’s too easy for teams to pack the paint against us and force turnovers. Now we were playing Dook, a well coached team of mostly 5* players and we could clean up several unforced turnovers. So that bodes well going forward but I still agree with @BShark it is a good way to exit early in March. I’m perfectly fine with not jacking up 30 threes per game. We are a division 1 team we should have 4 guys that can hit 30% or better from 3. Dotson, Moss, Ochai and Enaruna would be the best candidates. The chiefs are a great example, their offense looked much better in the first half of last season with Hunt because other teams had to respect the run game. Now teams just pin their ears back and blitz.
Hey doke was 2 for 3 from the line. Spacing for Doke is huge. Having 4 guards that you have to respect from 3 creates that spacing.
@nuleafjhawk that’s the trouble with yes Dooks pressure was good but so many of them were grade school type of plays.
I feel like we had 6 or 7 turnovers in transition. A could of times Ochai had an easy layup or dunk that he passed away.
@Crimsonorblue22 I thought he was okay, had a couple bad turnovers on a night that everyone wearing blue did as well. I love how strong he is on the glass. He needs to stop shooting jumpers if he can’t hit them tho, his shot reminds me of Cole Aldrich behind the head ugliness.
@BShark I wouldn’t say I was bold enough to predict victory, just wanted a game in a packed house. I never saw 28 turnovers coming tonight tho. Not with with Dook have freshman. It like the roles were flipped tonight. We played like freshman especially in transition.
I cooled down after a shower, I got a little heated there sorry folks. Just disappointed in the last few days here. Lost a game we thought would be a good one Saturday, then complete blow this game with turnovers. Rough week for the hawks.
I better get off here, I’m too mad and will probably say something very bad. We can fix the turnovers but having zero shooters like last season after Vick left is Killer. You can’t make them pay for double teaming the post without it. We had no business losing that one, if we just played smart for more than 6 minutes.
4 guards that can shoot with Doke only got us a final four, who knows.
