I didnt like the call be the offensive player caused the contact tho he is supposed to be able to land. The refs let WV get away with a fair share of contact but we killed ourselves more than anyone.

Outside of Garrett our effort just hasnt been there the last 3 games IMO. We aren't the first team on the floor, we are beat down the floor.

@BShark agree we could be decent next season but Self has to up his recruiting game. We need good guards and bigs at the same time not either or.

My Bold prediction going forward is the Kansas State Sweeps us and very convincingly. I'm watching them now and they play so much harder than we do. Which is the case most years unfortunately but we dont have the talent to half ass it this season.

Hopefully the transfer U BS will end after this pieced together group. I dont see us missing the NCAAs, win 4 more games and we are in because off of our name. I'm terrified of how bad Self has struggled with recruiting. I think we are gonna have a down year and that's ok. It was gonna happen at some point but I'm thinking it goes farther than one year.

Dedric and Mitch are ineffective so ya I think Dave needs a good stretch. The officials are just letting them play on both ends.

The more physical the game gets, the less effective Dedric is. We are missing our muscle in Doke today big time.

Just need to cut down the TOs and make shots, then it's a blowout. If I was huggy, I'd pressure the hell outta us this half, we cant move the ball with little pressure.

@BeddieKU23 I would say the only thing I see him legitimately improving on his is perimeter shooting. He maybe able to improve his lateral quickness some but I’m sure he’s been worked with a ton in that category and I think he’s is what he is. I could see Dedric returning if we get bounced early in March and would be happy to be wrong but I don’t see it.

I agree with how bad WV has looked thus far and how we seem to have no killer instinct to finish games, even at home against sub par competition. ISU is waiting for us when we return and thats a big game on our pride with how they took us to the wood shed in the second half. WV really looks bad at times, they lack leadership and consistent shooting from everywhere. But no I still don't trust us and we know how it goes some guy hitting 15% from all year 3 will can 4 on us as normal. I think we need to unbeaten at home and 5-4 on the road to win this conference so this is almost a must win with them being in the cellar right now. If we lose, we have to win in Manhattan or Lubbock IMO.

Interesting, I wouldn't figure any of our guys would go or be that high. I could see Dedric going from the stand point that should have a degree by the end of the season and he isn't going to improve his status any. That Hayes kid has a ton of potential but I think he could be a top 5 pick in the next draft. I think Dook is gonna end up 3 of the first 5 picks prob atleast 3 of the first 10.

I think has more to do with his injury with TCU saying they would still keep him on scholarship makes me think he will never be the player he was if he's able to go at all. There is certain things I do and don't like about how transfer heavy the game is getting. I do get that guys want to play and that fine but a free agency would be crazy. If Self made a player mad for benching while not playing well, he'd just pack up and go. That would be bad for the sport, Ik the coaches are already so much easier on the kids as it is.

If it ends up in court, I like SDS’s chances. A judge is gonna laugh at that small some of money compared to what Newton’s dad got, regardless of if the loop hole is closed or not, it’s definitely foolish to sit some one for pocket change.

@Kcmatt7 Well I pretty much stated my issue with it but while we are on topic, Nebraska and Houston are way too high along with UNC. Nevada isn't getting any love IMO. I personally think the NET must be putting too much on margin of victory because there isn't a rating system that I've seen KU lower than 9th in. I prefer Kenpom but don't always agree a 100% with it. I'm just saying a team with only 2 losses against the top SOS land should be higher. I don't have an issue with the top 4 in NET. I also never said that RPI is superior ether. I'll guarantee if you pick a bracket of off any of the ratings systems it will be junk after the first weekend.

@Kcmatt7 Right and they didn't always go straight off of the RPI, it was just one of the tools they used. I'm just saying I'm unimpressed from it so far.

Still not digging these NET ranking. Dook loses at home to a bubble team in Syracuse albeit missing some players but still only fall from 2 to 4 while we beat a Texas team that’s probably fairly even maybe a touch better on paper than Syracuse and drop from 12th to 13th. Yet a 4 loss Nebraska and UNC team sit 10th and 11th tho they ain’t missing players or playing a schedule that as tough as ours thus far. Just seems crazy that if they base a ton of those ranking and the tournament was tomorrow we’d be a 4 seed with 2 losses against Kenpoms #1 SOS.

Wonder if the wheels are starting to come off of the bus in Morgantown, they now have a losing record and probably have to win the B12 tournament to get to the NCAA tournament.

@dylans It’s seems the Sprint Center goes thru streaks for us but I believe we have the best win percentage their other than AFH, we have won 4 more games there since that article and have a better win percentage than we did in Kemper. Winning over 80% of your games in building that isn’t your home court is pretty good when you think about it. I think the 2017 team just had too much pressure and flopped against Oregon after being so close to beating Nova the year before. I think people forget how much pressure these kids are under in the tournament especially as a 1 seed.

@Kcmatt7 I didn't watch any of it outside of highlights and what little bit before they started the KU game on ESPNNEWS. I'm just saying if KU got that call, it'd be all over the front page of every newspaper from here to china.

Old news now but Dook drops one to Syracuse at Cameron while being 17 point favorites. I just watched the highlights and the refs tried their damndest to give it to Dook. They were down one in the closing seconds and Zion got a foul call with absolutely zero contact. No one ever mention it again because its Dook but wow.

The way big David is playing even with Doke out. I hate that Mitch isn’t able to use a redshirt because I see his minutes going down to very minimum if SDS is able to go.

I’m okay if this is the best we can do offensively if we make Fts. Shot 53% from the floor, 50% from 3 while making 11 and only 4 turnovers. Free throws and poor rebounding kept it from being a 15 point win, they had I believe 19 second chance points off of 14 offensive rebounds. I’m also gonna say Texas played a little over their talent level, I’d bet the farm they don’t make 13 3s in a single game the rest of the year. I really loved seeing Garrett get some points, he does so much of the dirty work for this team and some had even thrown the idea out of Ochai starting over him (I think that’s crazy by the way). The only knock he had tonight was his 1/4 from from the line. Dotson had a nice line of 10 points, 5 assists and 0 turnovers. Dedric thankfully got going late and had a nice line with 17 points and 8 rebounds, his defense was fairly disappointing tho. Vick did what Vick needs to do make shots, went 5 for 8 from distance tonight. Grimes made a couple of appearances with the deep ball but was ghost like outside of that. Moore made his normal chuck a stupid 3 and miss appearance. David needs more minutes IMO, he can take us farther than Mitch can especially if SDS isn’t cleared soon. We all love Mitch’s effort but man has he seemed off this season and it’s tough to make an argument that he needs to be in the rotation.
