I feel terrible for our players, there is talent on this club. They are just guided by a complete dipstick.

I’ve been a KU football since the 90s and even tho we suck badly I’ve always been excited and watched the games. I will be no longer watch the games, I think I’d rather just play with my kids at this point. It is a complete waste of time, I just don’t understand how we could get worse with a 4th year coach and all these upperclassman. Lawrence is ten times the town that Manhattan is, no flipping reason why you win there but not here. I was all for giving Beaty the whole season but I see no point let’s give someone else a try and pray that the opposing team gets high before the game and we can have a chance to win. This officially the worse program in college history and the worse coach. I think if I was Beaty I’d resign and apologize to all of the players and fans for being a complete tool.
@BShark they should’ve won going away in regulation. We were lucky they couldn’t do anything on ST or it would’ve been a double digit loss.
Not to mention he was hit repeatedly but stayed in there. The offensive and defensive lines continue to be abouslute crap, they ran with ease and we couldn't run that was the difference outside of penalties and drops.
@jayballer73 Bender wasn't great but he wasn't the issue, had several key drops including a wide open TD. He really didn't turn it over because that was a shit call as was the no catch (one angle looked good, the other you couldn't tell, no way to overturn that). I'm just beyond pissed, if we end up in the mountain west it all leads back to this program and sweet Lou firing mangino. He is a liar and cheat, mangino knew this and it cost him.
So many simple plays that we blew, stuff that shouldn't happen to a 4th year coach with a roster full of upperclassmen

The defense hasn't been bad after the first drive but the offense is leaving a ton on the field, dropped passes and sacks need to improve. Whomever get a turnover in plus field maybe the winner.

@BShark agreed, also Beaty is 3-33 as our head coach anyone that picks them to lose looks pretty accurate and realistic. I hope Beaty turns it around starting tonight and I predicted a win but if you dont think this could be a loss you’re cementing your knowledge or lack there of this team and the game of football.
Texas is back....to sucking lmao. Down 10 early to Maryland with an interim coach, just cracks me up. Tech is getting spanked by Ole Miss and had their QB leave due to an injury. OU is taking it to Lane Kiffin and FAU, as a TCU is easily handling a school for the blind.
@stoptheflop I think you bring up valid post friend, although I was just about to make a thread lol. The effort of the team is one of the biggest question marks IMO, if these players love Beaty so much will they stand up and fight for him? When I was at the CMU game last year, there zero energy from the sideline and very few players seemed to be putting forth effort. I think people have talked up Nicholls a little too much, they ain’t Bama, they ain’t even NDSU. Yes we have 2 losses to FCS teams the past but both of those were with new coaches and very little experience as a team. The keys to a jayhawk victory are, stop the run and force them into passing, their QB had 13 picks a year ago. Get ahead early, the loss to South Dakota State we got down by 20 early but were the better team after we woke up. A fast start will keep the pressure off and help get the mo going early. I like Kansas to win a hard fought game 27-23.
Cozart mostly threw screen passes and blew a 20 point lead again WSU. I watched those games he looked slightly better. He had several decent games here against crap comp aswell.

@StayClassy pretty any new story ran by Democrats ether says its bad or insinuates it. Look at anything on the huffington post or occupy Democrats covers. Men are the terrible especially the white ones.
On a scale of 1 to 10 being stupid this is a 25. I don’t get the continuous war on men. I hope this stuff leaves our university soon, studies show masculinity is good. Kids that grow up without fathers are in far worse shape than those who do. I’m an independent but I’m not sure I’d recommend my kids to go to KU if they continue to try and brain wash kids into liberalism. I want them to take politics outta schools. When the kids are old enough they can decide what they think is correct after living in the real world. I had a cousin that graduated from KU 2 years ago and said just about every professor was an obvious liberal and tried to force it down everyone’s neck. If the teacher really believed in liberal ideas wouldn’t they teach for free? I don’t believe that to positive for the university or the kids.
I believe Rodgers to be the best QB in football currently, he is ahead of Brady in several areas and he hasn't had a good team around him the last several years. I look for Brady and Co to take a step back this season with some of the guys they lost.
Politics are in everything anymore, can’t turn on anything with hearing something about it, that’s one of many reason I don’t watch TV these days. It’s seems most media outlets are like click hate articles, they twist around whatever they can to make more people view the story.
@Texas-Hawk-10 Right I’m not saying it will be exactly the same but Micheal Cummings wasn’t a big guy that was a good QB in short yardage. You don’t have to be 6’5 to run but it helps.
I actually like the idea of having a package with Kendrick installed. I don’t like that he announced it on the radio show, it’s kinda funny with all that he keeps under wraps and then release this. I would have waited and only used it if I had to against Nicholls. The Belldozer package worked fairly well for OU as did the 18 wheeler package for Texas and Colin Klein was used in short yardage spots before he started as well. People on Twitter are going nuts about how stupid it is, I think it could work and help us in the Redzone.

I was in town this afternoon on our way up to the great wolf lodge(my first official vacation) and hoped to have time to stop in but it wasn’t in the cards, just curious if anyone made it.
I’d be shocked if he comes to Kansas, We already have Garrett, Moore, Dotson and Grimes that can run the point. I be shocked if 3 of those 4 didn’t return next season, possibly all 4. Not to mention we have a few guys rated considerably higher on our radar.
I honestly think that Nicholls State could be our toughest non conference game. They came close to beating 2 SEC teams in Georgia and Texas A&M the last 2 seasons. Kansas has got to come out ready to play and not pull a South Dakota State and show up at halftime.
Next question lol, so the CMU game says it on ESPN+, if a local channel picks up the package like the Nichols State game, will that have that game as Well?

This is excalty why I believe nothing will come of the FBI probe. The NCAA will do nothing to ever harm the big money machine that is the ACC and SEC. We’ve seen the loop holes for football players being paid and basketball players taking fake classes, basketball assistants being child molesters. As long as the NCAA is around those conferences will be able to as they wish with no consequences. Coach K could shoot his wife and coach from jail with no issues.

@BShark Yep, Winning football games is more important than character or women's safety. Sometimes I wonder how much of this is going on at other top programs. I also like that Coach Self has always been up front about player issues for the most part and didn't hide it.
The news broke yesterday that he would be keeping his job but serving a suspension. To be honest I don't get it, ether he knew about it years ago and swept it under the rug or he did know about it til this summer. I don't see the need for a grey area in this case. I watched some of his press conference yesterday and it was terrible. He looked like a little kid that got force to say I'm sorry. He didn't even say he was sorry to the young lady, just sorry for Buckeye Nation and that it happened. Urban is a great football coach no doubt but he ain't much of a man IMO. After this scandal and letting over 30 players get busted at Florida with little consequences, I think I've found a new team to root against. Looks like we Art Briles in the making here, I'd be shocked if more stuff he's been hiding doesn't come out in the next few seasons and he's gone.
